IMDb Synopsis: In an afterlife way-station resembling a major city, the lives of the recently deceased are examined in a court-like setting.

Film: A Simple Favor
Genre: Comedy, Mystery, Thriller
Description: Shortly after Stephanie, a parenting vlogger, makes new friends with an uptight, upper-class parent at her daughter's school, the latter goes missing and Stephanie takes it upon herself to do the investigating into her whereabouts. It's hard to sum up the tone of the movie, other than to say it's a great and unique blend of humour and tension.

Also, I've been tipped off that another upcoming movie (The Housemaid, starring Amanda Seyfried and Sydney Sweeney) invokes a similar vibe, which is a tall task and yet to be confirmed, but I am intrigued!

A great cast came together for this crime/drama that seemed to fly under the radar, and it's just a fun movie overall.
