Television​

Show: The Consultant
Genre: Comedy, Drama, Thriller
Description: Following the bizarre death of a young tech CEO in the middle of an office during work hours, a mysterious individual (Christoph Waltz) appears to take over the duties of the missing leader and he begins making bizarre changes while reestablishing the firm's business model and priorities.

It takes a bit of time for all 3 of the listed genres to become apparent to the viewer, which makes this series quite unique in my opinion. It's not the greatest show, but Waltz is captivating as always, and I'm definitely bummed out that I didn't hear about it when it released and that it hasn't yet gotten a follow-up season yet.

Parker's Point: Lorne picking Chevy as "the face" is still the best SNL joke like 40 years later.

Film: Resident Evil: Afterlife
Genre: Action, Horror, Sci-Fi
Description: To commemorate the recent release of the new Resident Evil film by Zach Cregger, I'm nominating my favourite of the Paul W.S. Anderson films of yesteryear. They weren't particularly well-received by franchise fans back then, but this one was my favourite of the ones he did and his whole run have become something of guilty pleasure picks of mine over the years.

I watched this on Netflix the other day. Seems to be very similar to or maybe even an Australian version of the oscar winning film "Spotlight"
