Announcing today's winners!

Mega Stone:

A Mega Stone
Stat Boosts: 0/30/20/30/20/0
Ability: Technician
Description: Simple but effective Mega boost that allows for unorthodox uses from moves that are usually useless due to their low power and no priority.

Support Ability
Support Mon Ability:
Gravitational Pull: Sets Gravity on switchin.

Yeah, you know that Ground immunity you had? You don't anymore. Sorry!

In all seriousness, this can allow for a fellow Ground type like Frogvolver to hit Earth Power on a Ground-immune Pokemon (which I am just now realizing we do not have a Flying type...), or an inaccurate move like Gunk Shot/Stone Edge from Giladis to hit more reliably. This ability would benefit a Spikes setter as well, as it allows Ground-immune Pokemon to get chipped by Spikes and Toxic Spikes.

Signature Item
Signature Item:
Name: Warrior's Sash
Effect: An item to be held by [the intended holder]. It boosts the power of not-very effective moves by 100%. Cannot be removed or displaced if held by the intended holder.
Description: Similarly to Thick Club, this item effectively gives the intended holder two abilities at the cost of its item slot. With it, the holder would be able to more effectively break through defensive Pokemon.

Congrats to all winners!

rip color dropper greatest concept of mine ever should've won frfr

Weight: 500kg Mega: 135kg
Description: intim on base lets it set up w sd against phys attackers before mega'ing, and then it can start firing off tech-boosted breaking swipe off a good 131atk, which due to it lowering the atk of its opponent, gives more opportunities to set up against physical attackers. punishes switching w glare, more sd setup, or setting a sub up. balanced out by having very weak coverage, weak-ish STABs, weak-ish spdef, and an odd speed stat.
Flavor: very bulky, golden kobold, w a large golden ore on its back, mega sharpens the gold into many weapons.

Rest, Sleep Talk, Protect, Subsitute, Facade, Tackle, Confide, Follow Me, Wide Guard, Fury Swipes
Justification: good support mon overall, capable of hitting pretty hard with grav apple, to ensure it isn’t passive. However type isn’t exactly bulky, but a great pairing with ground types rather. Overcoat also allows it to check frogvolver while retaining boots

Samtendo's Mega Stone:
Name: Hydronin
Typing: Psychic/Water
Abilities: Competitive / Limber / Mold Breaker [Mega: Technician]
Stats: 80 / 66 / 89 / 103 / 68 / 109 (520 BST)
Stats After Mega: 80 / 96 / 109 / 133 / 88 / 109 (620 BST)
Notable Moves: Twin Beam, Water Shuriken, Surf, Hydro Pump, Psyshock, Psychic, Focus Blast, Frost Breath, Ice Beam, Shadow Ball, Taunt, Fake Out, Trick, Acid Spray
Flavor: It's a small, humanoid figure composed of a mostly liquid body that takes a ninja-like appearance. The mega makes it a bit bigger, but compared to other pokemon like it, it's still quite small. Due to its mostly liquid body, it is somewhat vulnerable in up-close fights, but it can disappear into a puddle and resurface at will. It prefers to fight from afar, using its psychic powers and other trickery to beat down the opponent bit by bit, using its psychic powers to hone in on the opponent's weak spots.
Description:
The base can function as a decently powerful attacker with a bevy of good coverage moves at its helm. Sure, 103 special attack isn't the greatest thing in the world, but it works decently well for a fast attacker.

However, that's not its main draw. Rather, the main draw comes with its mega evolution. Technician lets it fire off what is effectively 120 BP STAB Twin Beams left and right, and also gives it a gigabuffed STAB Water Shuriken, which lets it finish off faster or otherwise weakened targets much easier. Beyond that it also gives it a buff to Frost Breath and Acid Spray, with the former providing vital coverage against Grass-types (coverage that also ignores defensive boosts due to always critting) and the latter being an effective way to soften up opponents for very strong attacks, even if it might not be particularly strong on its own. The increased defenses from the mega stone are also helpful for letting Hydronin live a couple hits or two.

Gravitational Pull:
Name: Magnesect
Typing: Bug/Electric
Abilities: Gravitational Pull / Lightning Rod / Analytic
Stats: 79 / 61 / 125 / 107 / 75 / 98 (550 BST)
Notable Moves: Sticky Web, Bug Buzz, Thunder, Volt Switch, Thunder Wave, Focus Blast, Knock Off
Flavor: It's an insect that can manipulate electrical and magnetic currents, as well as gravitational force, to ground enemies. After doing so, it uses its overwhelming electric energy to electrocute and fry the target, and then it consumes its remains.
Description: Use Gravitational Pull to ensure that Flying-types and Levitaters can't dodge your Sticky Webs and to ensure your Ground-types can go ham on the opponent. Gravity also has some funny use-case scenarios outside of making Flying-types and Levitaters unable to dodge Sticky Web, as with your sure-hit Thunders and Focus Blasts you are more than capable of causing some serious damage to the opponent. Despite the significantly weaker attack, Knock Off is also good for fucking around with HDB users, and with your solid physical bulk, you can use it to tank a hit or two in a pinch.

Warrior's Sash:
Name: Gladiacada
Typing: Bug / Steel
Abilities: Levitate / Battle Armor / Sheer Force
Stats: 85 / 115 / 120 / 55 / 60 / 100 (535 BST)
Notable Moves: Megahorn, Iron Head, Lunge, U-turn, Superpower, Roost, Rock Slide, Stone Edge, Knock Off, U-turn, Swords Dance
Flavor: It's a cicada with a legendary set of metallic armor. Legend has it that it has a mysterious connection to the Warrior's Sash.
Description: Decently fast attacker that overcomes its lack of particularly good coverage with the use of the Warrior's Sash. Use your decent enough bulk and good defensive typing to boost, and then simply go ham on the opponent with your attacks.

Mega Stone:
:sm/Froslass:
Name: Froslass
Typing: Ice/Ghost
Abilities: Merciless/Toxic Debris
Stats: 70/80/70/80/70/110 (70/110/90/110/90/110)

Competitive Outlook: Utility Mon which can pressure switches with strong STAB like Triple Axel and Frost Breath and set-up hazards. Has to choose between boosted pivoting/priority and healing/status abusing and lacks any good set-up but can act as role compression

Gravitational Pull:
Name: Ya'matriarch (Your-Mama-Matriarch)
Typing: Grass/Ground
Abilities: Heavy Metal/Gluttony (Gravitational Pull)
Stats: 117*/96*/100*/90/79/35
Notable Moves: Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Slack Off, Heavy Slam, Earthquake, Earthpower, Rock Slide, Roar, Grav Apple, Leech Seed, Giga Drain, Curse, Chilly Reception, Body Press, Scald, Scorching Sands
Competitive Outlook: Bulky Mon which can hit things for good damage or Phaze with spikes before pivoting to another gravity abuser.

Warrior's Sash:
:sm/Lokix:
Name: Kantonian-Lokix
Typing: Bug/Rock
Abilities: Sharpness
Stats: 86/102/79/39/55/89
Notable Moves: First Impression, Stone Axe, Aqua Cutter, Night Slash, U-Turn, Swords Dance, Rock Polish, Axe Kick, Brick Break, Lunge, Leech Life, Taunt, X Scissor, Trailblaze, Substitute.
Competitive Outlook: The classic. Loses Tera Bug FP and speed in exchange for boosted hazard setting and a monstrous X-Scissor. No longer rock weak.

Role: Gimmicky Setup Technician Sweeper who specializes in using moves that aren't accessed by any Technician Mon, more notably Ice Shard and Icicle Spear! The aim is to set up in regular form using Meditate and Simple (It does not get access to Swords Dance) before Mega Evolving using the Rapunzerite and demolishing everything! Can also heal with Draining Kiss.

Name: Opticlame (Optical + Blame)
Typing:
Abilities: No Guard/Forewarn/Anticipation
Special Item: Warrior's Sash
Stats: 78/99/78/70/85/94 (504)
Movepool: Mach Punch, Detect, Miracle Eye, Foresight, Psycho Cut, Glare, Dynamic Punch, Knock Off, Lash Out, Throat Chop, Low Kick, Low Sweep, Brick Break, Bulk Up, Body Press, Aura Sphere, Drain Punch, Reversal, Focus Blast, Close Combat, Focus Punch, Upper Hand, Fire Punch, Burning Jealousy, Confuse Ray, Hex, Shadow Ball, Earthquake, Earth Power, Scary Face, Roar, Psych Up, Psybeam, Psychic, Psyshock, Expanding Force, Psychic Terrain, Zen Headbutt, Trick, Reflect, Light Screen, Gravity, Imprison, Calm Mind, Rock Slide, Stone Edge, Hyper Beam, Giga Impact, Endure, Facade, Helping Hand, Protect, Rest, Sleep Talk, Substitute, Take Down, Tera Blast
Weight: 7.5 kg.
Role: A physical sweeper who blames his own giant eye for it's failures, despite, like Machamp, being a No Guard Dynamic Punch user. The Warrior's Sash covers his eye and not only allows him to focus on the other senses, but also avoid seeing challenges that he is destined to failed against. That being said, he's a Dynamic Punch based sweeper who can smash even resistant mons, though Ghosts are still a no go for him.

:sv/goodra-hisui:
Name: Goodra-Hisui (-Mega)
Typing: Steel/Dragon
Abilities: Sap Sipper / Shell Armor // Gooey - (Mega: Technician)
Stats: 80/100/100/110/150/60 - (Mega: 80/130/120/140/170/60)
Movepool Additions: Draining Kiss
Description: Goodra-Hisui actually has some really good options to play around with Technician. It has respectable offenses on both sides so both physical, special, and mixed are on the table. Physical side has Dragon Tail, Breaking Swipe, Bulldoze, and Rock Tomb. Special side has Dragon Breath, Chilling Water, and Acid Spray; Draining Kiss was added to make a powerful combo between DKiss and Acid Spray for decent power and recovery. Its only set up is Acid Armor (not even Iron Defense) + BPress, which is also an option.

:sv/hariyama:
Name: Hariyama
Typing: Fighting/Ground
Abilities: Thick Fat / Gravitational Pull // Sheer Force
Stats: 124/125/80/40/90/50 (BST: 509)
Movepool Removals: Close Combat
Description: Gravitational Pull grounds Fliers and then it can smoke them with STAB Headlong Rush. It also looses CC to make way for Drain Punch or Cross Chop.

Name: Moreldeo (Morel + Keldeo)

Description: Moreldeo is a Keldeo convergent evo that consists of a bunch of vines, something something. Moreldeo is an offensive mon with a terrible offensive typing, which is where Warrior's Sash comes into play. Moreldeo can set up Trailblaze and/or SD to sweep with mediocre stabs that are boosted up to be really good.

Mega Stone
Name: Dumbara (Dumb + Capybara)
Type: Normal/Fighting
Abilities: Oblivious // Simple -> Technician
Stats: 85/115/75/95/60/92 (522 BST) -> 85/145/95/125/80/92 (622 BST)
Moves: Body Slam, Double-Hit, Facade, Giga Impact, Hyper Fang, Last Resort, Super Fang, Quick Attack, Hyper Voice, Hyper Beam, Swift, Attract, Entrainment, Tickle, Block, Defense Curl, Double Team, Endure, Play Nice, Substitute, Yawn, Brick Break, Drain Punch, Focus Punch, Mach Punch, Power-Up Punch, Storm Throw, Superpower, Aura Sphere, Focus Blast, Vacuum Wave, Bulk Up, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Incinerate, Sunny Day, Surf, Water Pulse, Bulldoze, Earthquake, Stomping Tantrum, Mud Shot, Rock Slide, Rock Tomb, Stone Edge, Thunderpunch, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Shock Wave, Blizzard, Ice Punch, Ice Beam, Icy Wind, Zen Headbutt, Extrasensory, Amnesia, Rest, Iron Tail, Assurance, Bite, Taunt, Charm
Design: It is a medium-large mammalian Pokemon based on capybaras and the concept behind it is the trope of chill characters turning out to be good fighters. "While Dumbara is very friendly to both people and Pokemon, it does not seem to know its own strength."
Competitive Description: A mixed attacker with several strong options, including some rare Technician-boosted moves like Double Hit, Storm Throw (out-damages all fighting moves except Focus Punch/Meteor Assault), and Assurance (90 boosted power, increases to 120 power if the target takes damage earlier in the turn, AKA switching in on hazards).

Warrior's Sash
Name: Fibraid (Fiber + Braid/Raid)
Type: Psychic/Steel
Abilities: Light Metal / Overcoat // Analytic
Stats: 48/78/102/114/72/96 (510 BST)
Moves: Feint, Wrap, Swift, Double Team, Endure, Recover, Substitute, Psycho Cut, Expanding Force, Future Sight, Psychic, Psychic Noise, Psyshock, Agility, Calm Mind, Imprison, Magic Coat, Reflect, Light Screen, Teleport, Mirror Coat, Flash Cannon, Mirror Shot, Power Whip, Grass Knot, Withdraw, Air Cutter, Air Slash, Detect, Quick Guard, Ominous Wind, Hex, String Shot, Icy Wind, Memento
Design: A Pokemon that psychically manipulates threads in battle, it wraps itself in thread to wear as armor. In the past, it often accompanied nobility into battle.
Competitive Role: A relatively frail and low-coverage special attacker designed around dealing neutral damage with the Warrior's Sash. It can punish switches with Analytic and can use that fact to play mind games with Calm Mind.

60/110/60/110/60/95 ---> 60/140/80/140/80/95 (Mega)
Abilities: Mega Launcher / Sturdy ---> Technician
Move Additions: Rock Tomb, Meteor Beam, Power Gem, Focus Blast, Aura Sphere, Vacuum Wave, Thunderbolt, Water Pulse
Description: Fighting/Rock mixed mon in base and mega. It's simple but effective really what do i gotta say

Warrior's Sash
Name: Sensiple
Type: Psychic
Stats: 70/105/140/70/105/70
Ability: Tinted Lens, Sharpness (Download)
Moves: Psyblade, Psycho Cut, Slash, Focus Energy, Recover, Encore, Psychic Noise, Psychic, Psyshock, Confusion, Echoed Voice, Hyper Voice, Boomburst, Calm Mind, Substitute, Electric Terrain.
Flavor: A Pokemon that, through extensive training, has learned to learn how to handle its weakness and take advantage of them.
Description: A Pokemon that uses the funny idea of Warrior's Sash + Tinted Lens to turn resistances into weaknesses! With both of them doubling the power of resisted hits, its mediocre coverage of Psychic and Normal is not walled by Steels anymore (both hitting Steel-types SE!) and in fact hits Rock, Steel, Psychic, Poison, and Fighting super-effectively (with Psychic alone hitting most of those)! However, Dark-types are still immune to its STAB, which will often require Normal-type moves to be ran. It should also be balanced from having a relatively low attack stat, and not being able to boost its Attack beyond Focus Energy. As a secondary ability, it can also forego its excellent matchup into Steel-types by instead opting for Sharpness, which gives a significant overall boost to the main moves it runs.

But really, I just thought it'd be cute to stack Tinted Lens and Warrior's Sash. If it's too weak, I might add a secondary STAB that allows it to hit more types super effectively, but for now I wanted to err on the side of caution.

Warrior's Sash
Name: Flowar
Type: Grass / Fairy
Ability: Prankster / Neuroforce
Stats: 70 / 110 / 70 / 100 / 75 / 100
Moves: Flower Trick, Play Rough, Sacred Sword, Rapid Spin, Night Slash, U-turn, Leaf Storm, Energy Ball, Giga Drain, Moonblast, Encore, Calm Mind, Taunt, Parting Shot
Description: Uses Warrior Sash to deal with its shallow coverage, or to free up moveslots to run Prankster moves for support. Prankster Encore is probably your bread and butter, even on a setup set.

Mega Stone
:ss/flygon:
Name: Flygon
Type: Dragon/Ground
Ability: Levitate
Stats: 80 / 100 / 80 / 80 / 80 / 100 --> 80 / 130 / 100 / 110 / 100 / 100
Moves: +Dual Chop, +Roost
Description: NGL this is nobody's idea of a Mega Flygon, but I think it can work. You can use base form to dodge Spikes or Ground moves in order to set up, then go for it with Technician Dual Chop. You could try using something like Bulldoze or Dragon Breath as well, but I'm not sure how good that would be. Primarily you want to sweep, with help from the Gravity mon or not.

Gravitational Pull
Name: Avastar
Type: Steel/Psychic
Ability: Gravitational Pull
Stats: 80/95/100/105/80/50 | Weight: 999 kg
Moves: Heavy Slam, Zen Headbutt, Earthquake, Rapid Spin, Psychic, Psyshock, Psychic Noise, Future Sight, Flash Cannon, Steel Beam, Focus Blast, Shadow Ball, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Calm Mind, Recover, Teleport, Thunder Wave
Description: Tried to keep the stats toned down due to the power of its ability. It's deceptively powerful with a reliable Heavy Slam, Thunder, and Focus Blast in its arsenal. Ultimately, though, it wants to get off the field and let a stronger teammate take advantage of the Gravity it sets, which it can do with Teleport.

GRAVITATIONAL PULL SUB:
Name: Sumarsh
Typing: Ground / Fighting
Abilities: Stalwart / Filter (Gravitational Well)
Stats: 115/120/105/75/80/45 (540 BST)
Notable Moves:
Brick Break, Bulk Up, Circle Throw, Detect, Focus Blast, Dynamic Punch, Mach Punch, Superpower, Drill Run, Earthquake, Earth Power, High Horsepower, Spikes, Body Slam, Knock Off, Mega Kick, Head Smash, Stone Edge, Zen Headbutt, Slack Off, Waterfall, Headlong Rush, Dragon Rush, Heavy Slam, Heat Crash, Bulldoze, Beat Up, Bonemerang, Brutal Swing, Comet Punch, Constrict, Protect, Return, Frustration, Toxic, Substitute, Hidden Power, Tera Blast, Crush Grip, Dizzy Punch, Grassy Glide, Steel Roller, Helping Hand. Lunge, Mega Punch, Outrage, Wave Crash, Wide Guard, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Fire Punch,
Competitive Outlook: Gravity has a second effect, which gives all moves a MASSIVE 1.67x accuracy buff. So why not a Dynamic Punch user? Also gets spikes because of the reasoning given as the ability itself
Flavor: so I may have decided that for this set of subs that they'll all be fighting types...
This Pokemon is just way too strong to be getting an auto field-setting ability. I think the power of a Ground-type getting a Gravity setting ability is close to that of a Water-type getting Drizzle or a Fire-type getting Drought. These abilities are represented in gen 9 OU by Pelipper and Torkoal, just to put things in perspective. At minimum I would either remove the recovery move or tone down the stats by A LOT.

This one doesn't abuse it's own Gravity much, but it still has insane bulk and adds Sticky Web into the mix. I feel this mon does way too much for a double H/O strat enabler. I would honestly not try to make a Sticky Web/Gravity combo mon, and if I did, I'd be thinking along the lines of Leavanny moreso than Hippowdon.

Abilities: Heavy Metal/Gluttony (Gravitational Pull)
Stats: 119/113/103/90/79/35
Notable Moves: Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Slack Off, Heavy Slam, Earthquake, Earthpower, Rock Slide, Roar, Grav Apple, Leech Seed, Giga Drain, Curse, Chilly Reception, Body Press, Scald, Scorching Sands
Competitive Outlook: Bulky Mon which can hit things for good damage or Phaze with spikes before pivoting to another gravity abuser.
This is not nearly as strong as the other two, but we still think the combo of huge bulk and STAB Ground for its own Gravity is a bit much on this.

The general pattern of all three above is underestimating how strong the Gravity auto-set ability is.

Mega sub:
Name: Kobgold
Type: Dragon/Steel
Stats: 96/121/128/30/73/92 (540) Mega: 96/151/148/60/93/92 (640)
Abilities: Intimidate
Movepool:
Relevant Moves:
Breaking Swipe, Dragon Claw, Dragon Tail, Iron Head, Glare, Slack Off, Swords Dance, Body Slam, Substitute, Stomping Tantrum.
This is way too strong defensively. The amazing type + bulk + Intimidate + recovery puts into unbreakable territory. On top of that, it's surprisingly fast and strong to the point that it can run SD and try to break defensive pokemon. The stats need to come down a good amount on this, or replace Intimidate with something much weaker, or remove recover - or some mix thereof.

Here are links to the winner posts so everyone can check the power level of their subs against previous submissions: Slate 1, Slate 2

The vetoed subs outclass our previously defensive or bulky mons in almost every category. It's not that all our defensive niches are already accounted for by slate 2, but I think the comparison shows that these vetoed subs were one or two tiers stronger than the pokemon they'll be up against.

This is also a 24 Hour Warning for subs!

All subs have been fixed so... Votes are open again!

You can vote for any amount of submissions in any order, but the first place vote will count as 2 votes instead. You cant selfvote first place. Anything else is alright. dont vote for the same sub twice

Voting is open for 24 hours!
