Tyraniboah-Forgotten Legend

I've wanted to make a team based on Tyraniboah since my last team just freaking owned with it. Tyraniboah is the counter bait that lures Scizor in and then i can take it out. Albeit losing a sub.

The Team Building Process

My favorite pokemon is of course, Tyranitar as I am sure that many of yours is too. It has all around stats that can obviously freaking slaughter all its main counters. It has the Three Beams (as I call them) namely T-Bolt, Ice Beam, Flame Thrower. These three moves is the highest variable in the Tyraniboah. As for me, I wish to lure Scizor in with a damn Flame Thrower. Suck that you metallic bug.

Next I needed a solid partner to take many of its weakness namely Bug, Ice, and Steel. Most importantly Steel. I can trap Scizor, sometimes Jirachi barring fire punch sets, but most sets dont have it so...I'm good. I can also take grass attacks if im not mistaken.

Next I used Heracross to take fighting, ground attacks. I wanted swords dance that I can use in junction with close combat to take things out faster. Of course, I want the double stab- Megahorn which takes out incoming ttars that can would otherwise ruin this team. I don't even know why Heracross might be dropped to UU or BL. It is magnificent with decent bulk. If i invest in defense, the rest in attack and then speed, I'm sure he'll be bulky enough 2 SD once. Maybe a Bulk-Up set to up its defense?

I wanted a lead that not many pokes can deal with and that poke was Celebi. Its a very uncommon lead that not everyone expects causing many players to be like...IS HE USING A SWEEPER FOR A LEAD? Well, i aint dammit! Imma go with a Sp.D spread with max HP to survive two or three Fire Blast from Azelf. I will also use this lil baby to absorb status since natural cure is probably one of the best abilities because it can totally take a toxic and then retaliate.

Takes ALL THE FIRE WEAKNESSES with its reliable bulk and I plan to use it as my Revenge Killer. Works really well with Magnezone as it can take its weaknesses with grace. Kingdra has a fantastic movepool. I love freaking Flash Cannon that can take out incoming T-Tars and it has draco meteor to deal with dragons types. With 85 base speed, I can easily outspeed many threats like Salamence and Mixmence.

Rotom-H is the glue that is my second status absorber with Sleep-Talk that can srsly frustrate opponents by taking toxics and inducing the sleep-clause so i take out the threat of Spore-Breloom. Freaking Rotom-H is IMMENSELY BULKY! It also has good Sp.A and has two good STABS.

IN DEPTH TEAM!
251Celebi.png

Celebi @ Occa Berry
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 72 HP/76 Sp.A/104 Spd/156 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Stealth Rock
- Leaf Storm
- Earth Power
- Thunder Wave
This set is actually very good since no one expects it. The ev's are very simple and straight forward. I gave it enough EVS to SP.D and HP to be only 2hko by Azelf. I would totally just U-Turn into say Tyranitar. I can make Azelf switch out so I can set up my sub to get in their T-Tar counter. On step out of the way. My greatest enemy is always Azelf and Heatran as they can easily OHKO me. But I can switch to an appropriate counter to take it out.

Heracross
214Heracross.png

Heracross (M) @ Wide Lens
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk/80 Def/176 Speed
Adamant Nature (+Atk -Sp.A)
- Swords Dance
- Megahorn
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge

Yes. I know. It's awesome. I differed the EV's from the Stratdex since I wanted to try a lil more defense. PLus i find that speed isn't that important since I want to increase the bulk so im not screwed over as easily. Jolly to increase speed obviously. Swords Dance for an Attack Boost to boost my attack to around 766 which is like a freaking beast. Megahorna and Close Combat for some fucked up STABBING POWER! Stone Edge is for flying types that i can not handle at time and resist my dual stab. Wide Lens is to increase the Accuracy by 10% by everything. Stone Edge is to become 88% and Horn Attack to 93.5%. Awesome, right?

The Rotom!?
499.png

Rotom-h @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/120 Def/136 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Will-o-wisp
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Discharge
I've never thought that that Sleep-Talk would be so awesome! I love annoying the fuck out of my enemy. It's so FUNNY! Bold is for defensive to absorb some attacks. The evs is for to absorb blows and for the most effective recovering. WoW is to spread the pain to destroy physical sweepers and spread deal residual damage throughout the opponent's team.

The STEEL KILLER! BUST A CAP IN THOSE ASSES...if they can get through...
462Magnezone.png

Magnezone @ Leftovers
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 172 HP/84 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Magnet Rise
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
This is the standard set for maximum sp.a damage and enough for substitutes to last. The thing that I am most fascinated with is that it has a 400% resistance to steel. Why I'd say 400% instead of 4X? Cuz it sounds le-wait-gendary! EV's are straight forward as 172 hp so that i can make my damn resistances count! Substitute is to ease up prediction. Magnet Rise is to stop that massive EQ and EP attacks that can dent this armor. T-Bolt is for general stab and HP Ice is to deal with Dragons and Ground Types. But I am walled by Swampert. But i guess that i can wear it down with HP Ice.

The Horsey Revenge
230Kingdra.png

Kingdra (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sniper
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Flash Cannon
- Hydro Pump
My solid revenge-killer with a nice movepool. The Ev's r pretty straight forward as can be. Timid is to increase speed so i can outspeed more threats i guess, but it is probably outclassed by like Latias, but I can tell you it isn't. Not everyone sees a Kingdra nowadays. It's like a forgotten legend if you will. Draco Meteor for STAB and to deal some major damage. HP Electric to deal with Suicune if Magnezone is down. Flash Cannon is a nice move Ice and Rock type that would otherwise wall my set. Hydro Pump is for secondary STAB.

TYRANITAR THE STAR!
248Tyranitar.png

Tyranitar (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP/52 Atk/28 Spd/176 SAtk
Quiet nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
- Substitute
- Focus Punch
- Crunch
- Flamethrower
THE ULTIMA BEAST! JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA! Sorry about that i get excited over this lil awesome bastard. Tyraniboah, probably the best set of all T-Tar's except no one ever tries it. Why? Why? I need 252 HP to get 404 Hp so a Blissey's Stoss cant break it. 52 Atk is to get the most out of its 134 Atk without destroying it. 28 Speed to boost its speed high enough to kill Blissey. 176 Sp.A is to make its Sp.A powers and make it powerful. Substitute is to ease up prediction and to be behind something so I don't die. Focus punch is to get the most out of Atk, 134 Base Attack. Crunch is for STAB. Flame Thrower is to kill Scizor when it comes in when Steels, Grass types come in. Great set, verdad? Si, Me gusta tambien. And no im not spanish, im chinese.

I noticed that you are running a Timid nature on Celebi, despite the fact that all of its attacks are physical. You are also running no speed, making it even more unnecessary. A Jolly nature is probably what you meant to put. However, the spread would still be inefficient. A spread of 176hp, 76def 92 speed 156 spdef with an Impish nature would provide the same stats with 8 Evs to spare. Now, I still don't think this is a good spread, but in general, unless you are maximising stats, boost the higher ones with Natures and the others with EVs.

I would highly recommend Occa berry as its item, and that you run a largely special attacking set. You should run Leaf Storm, Earth Power, SR, U-turn. Considering common leads, we decide upon our EV spread:

Azelf: Easily survives Fire Blast with Occa, U-turn to a counter and break sash
Metagross: With at least 160 spAtk and Modest, you outspeed and 2HKO with Earth Power
Swampert: Easy Leaf Storm KO
Aerodactyl: Leaf Storm 2HKO with a little SpAtk investment
Jirachi: 2HKO can never be 100% with Earth Power, but it is likely with the spAtk suggested for Metagross. This is risky anyway, since it may 2HKO with iron head without defence investment. Switch to magnezone recommended.
Infernape: Bad matchup: can set up SR, surving fire blast with Occa
Heatran: You need 172 speed EVs to outrun and 2HKO with Earth Power, surviving FB with Occa
Roserade: you will not outpace it without near max speed and positive nature. You can set up SR if sleep powder misses, and obviously you are healed by natural cure. Hidden power fire does terrrible damage against you, and hp ice misses a 2HKO.
Tyranitar: With a lot of SpAtk you can Ko some variants with Leaf Storm. However I would suggest simply u-turning to a counter
Gliscor: leaf storm 2HKO with investment needed for Metagross
Ninjask: Get out of there!
Hippowdon: leaf storm OHKO

Therefore I suggest 178hp 160spAtk 172 speed modest. (edit: actually you may want 176 speed Evs to get the jump on adamant lucario) Using it as a lead usually rules out the possibility of later tking a +1 outrage from salamence (presumably that was largely what thunder wave was for, along with Gyarados, well dealt with by Rotom and Kingdra at the moment.)

To deal with Salamence, I would highly recommend scarf Latias over Kingdra. First of all, can you explain why it is not Outlassed: better SpAtk, Better Speed, better defences and trick versus better dual stab and no pursuit weakness I suppose. What Kingdra does not have is the speed to revenge kill mence, which is 100% necessary for this team.

Wide lens really is a terrible item. Highly recommend Life Orb. I would, however, completely remove Heracross. It really is far too prone to being revenge killed to sweep effectively, with average speed and no priority. It is probably outclassed in this respect by Lucario.

I got to go now, but I may add some more later

Edit: in response to below posts, I think if you make a change to Latias, using Gliscor would leave the team far too weak to ice and water attacks.

Also what is flash cannon for on Kingra anyway? Ttar and Mamoswine are hit harder by hydro pump. Weavile has pathetic defense, so it is irrelevant. Options are surf, for accuracy, signal beam for celebi, or a physical move e.g waterfall or outrage, for Blissey and others, obviously with a different nature

Good luck

Gliscor seems far more appropriate than heracross. Sandstream works wonders for gliscor, plus if you use him to take ground and fighting attacks, his defense is much, much higher. I suggest the standard dancing tank set with sd, eq, stone edge and roost

The first thing I noticed when reading your team was Celebi's nature. Timid nature on Celebi with its current moveset does no help to it at all. Seed Bomb and U-Turn are physical, so why give it a negative nature? I would suggest Jolly over Timid, since Jolly would be +Spe, -SpA.

But if you would like to keep the nature, then I would suggest Leaf Storm/Energy Ball over Seed Bomb and HP Fire/Earth Power over U-Turn. Leaf Storm deals more damage to Azelf than Grass Knot. Energy Ball deals more damage to Azelf on average, however. HP Fire is to deal some kind of damage to Metagross and the rare Anti-Lead Lucario. Earth Power can be considered to handle Heatran, maybe even lessen your (IIRC, might be another RMT) TormentTran(?) weakness. But HP Fire is better to stop lead Forretresz from setting up all over your ass.
