A fierce wallbreaker, Tyranitar plays an important role on Rock teams in beating defensive foes such as Corviknight, Slowbro, and Ferrothorn. Stone Edge is used for its high Base Power and effectiveness against Flying teams. It's also the safest move to use against Poison, Flying, and Electric teams, as their defensive cores cannot easily switch into it. Despite having less power, Crunch is more reliable than Stone Edge and can threaten many Ghost- and Psychic-type walls, such as Galarian Corsola and Slowbro, as well as Dragapult and Latios. Earthquake allows Tyranitar to hit Steel- and Electric-types such as Heatran and Tapu Koko, as well as Toxapex. In conjunction with Earthquake, Fire Punch pressures Steel-type teams and prevents Tapu Bulu, Zarude, and Ferrothorn from coming in on Tyranitar, gaining momentum with their setup or utility moves. The given EV spread allows Tyranitar to survive Choice Specs Tapu Lele's Moonblast while still outpacing Adamant Azumarill.

All of Tyranitar's teammates appreciate its ability to set sand. Shuckle can slow foes down with Sticky Web and chip them via Stealth Rock, both of which let Tyranitar break through teams more easily. Terrakion and Tyranitar form a deadly wallbreaking core together, with Terrakion dealing with foes such as Bisharp and Excadrill for Tyranitar, and Tyranitar handling Ghost-types and Psychic-types such as Galarian Corsola, Dragapult, and Slowbro. Nihilego is an excellent partner due to it taking on Corviknight and Urshifu-R, which beat Tyranitar. In return, Tyranitar is able to take care of Slowking and Galarian Slowking, as well as Steel-types such as Klefki and Aegislash, all of which wall Nihilego. Rhyperior can gang up on Steel- and Flying-types with Tyranitar and provide an Electric immunity. Barbaracle appreciates Tyranitar getting rid of foes such as Slowking, Slowbro, and Aegislash, which Barbaracle has trouble defeating. Coalossal is a decent partner for Tyranitar, as it can not only chip foes via Spikes, but also use Rapid Spin to clear entry hazards, which prevent Tyranitar from being as effective. Furthermore, it can burn foes like Scizor and Melmetal with Flame Body.

Tyranitar can viably run a set with Dragon Dance over Fire Punch, though Corviknight, Celesteela, and Skarmory can easily exploit this set. In addition, Tyranitar is a better wallbreaker than sweeper for Rock teams because it can pave the way for other sweepers like Barbaracle to sweep. It can also run a special set using Dark Pulse, Earth Power, Fire Blast, and Ice Beam to surprise foes such as Skarmory. However, this set isn't very good due to Tyranitar's mediocre Special Attack stat, as well as Nihilego taking care of Special special Tyranitar's targets, anyway.

Despite having less power, Crunch is a more reliable STAB move than Stone Edge and can threaten many Ghost- and Psychic-types such as Victini (Probably prefer Blacephalon here, CB u-turn or really few people running Brick Break makes me prefer it as it can become a thread along with Gcorsola for terrakion), Dragapult, and Latios. Earthquake allows Tyranitar to hit Steel- and Electric-types such as Heatran and Tapu Koko. In conjunction with Earthquake, Fire Punch can also force many 50/50s against Steel teams lacking Air Balloon Heatran. Fire Punch also prevents Rillaboom Tapu Bulu (Just like before I prefer a lot more Bulu over here as damage output is same + they won't risk his wincon for anything and Rilla is only on Grass) , Ferrothorn, and Zarude from coming in on Tyranitar. The given EV spread allows Tyranitar to live Choice Specs Tapu Lele's Moonblast, while still outpacing Adamant Azumarill.

Despite having less power, Crunch is a more reliable STAB move than Stone Edge and can threaten many Ghost- and Psychic-types such as Blacephalon (Blace not much of an issue with Rock since Terrakion outspeeds, its more on targeting bulky ones like Slowbro, Galarian Corsola so that Terrakion can go brr later). Dragapult, and Latios. Earthquake allows Tyranitar to hit Steel- and Electric-types such as Heatran and Tapu Koko (Toxapex would be a nice mention). In conjunction with Earthquake, Fire Punch can also force many 50/50s against Steel teams lacking Air Balloon Heatran. Fire Punch also prevents Tapu Bulu, Ferrothorn, and Zarude from coming in on Tyranitar. (Iirc Nihilego is unfort walled by Slowking + Pex, gets revenged by CB Aqua Jet Ursh. Nihilego likes Corv getting softened up in the flying matchup though, or the defensive core of most types being weakened) In return, Tyranitar is able to take care of Slowking and Galarian Slowking, as well as Steel-types such as Klefki and Aegislash. Rhyperior is a great partner for Tyranitar, as it can gang up on Steel- and Flying-types with Tyranitar. (Also prevents eleki from going brr) Coalossal is a decent teammate for Tyranitar as it is not only able to chip opponents via Spikes, but it is also able to clear Sticky Web which prevent Tyranitar from being as effective. (it also burns the opponent)

(Its not really that, its more of you kinda wanna wallbreak because there's better, faster sweepers Rock has vs mediocre speed ttar even at +1 with webs :() It can also run a special set using Dark Pulse, Earth Power, Fire Blast, and Ice Beam to surprise foes such as Skarmory (add more here since you mentioned Dpulse and Ice Beam too). However, this set isn't very good due to Tyranitar's mediocre Special Attack stat. (And there's nihi for Spattackers too)

ttar doesnt really "Deal" with it, if they hard into it on fire punch then sure but idk its a nuanced example, just replace grass-types with psychic and put slowbro instead of bulu, 3/3

Tyranitar can viably run a set with Dragon Dance over Fire Punch, though this set can easily be exploited by Corviknight, Celesteela, and Skarmory can easily exploit this set. In addition, Tyranitar is a better wallbreaker than sweeper for Rock teams because it can pave the way for other sweepers like Barbaracle to sweep. (optional) It can also run a special set using Dark Pulse, Earth Power, Fire Blast, and Ice Beam to surprise foes such as Skarmory. However, this set isn't very good due to Tyranitar's mediocre Special Attack stat, as well as Nihilego taking care of Special special Tyranitar's targets, anyway.
