The Concept: I managed to convince my best irl friend to go on shoddy. Problem is, he flat out refused to do anything other than Ubers. Up until this point I hated Ubers because it is quite offensive and my least favorite pokes such as Darkrai and Mewtwo are in it. I was looking around and saw in the Uber article that Trick Room teams are quite good at screwing with the system. To this day TR is the only full team strategy I have been able to pull off successfully. With that in mind I started to design a TR. Needless to say I smacked my noob friend and his hyper offense team. After that I decided to try it out on the ladder and I found that it was usually mistakes on my part that made me lose so I figured that with a bit of tweaking I could turn this into a great team. That is where you peeps come in.

Team Building:
4831.png

I had been looking through the various pages and found a Dialga TR lead. I figured it's typing would work well as an anti-lead and I could use this reputation to my advantage as the normal person would swap to their normal Dialga counter and I would set up and switch to one of my sweepers.

4831.png

So now I thought to myself, what really screws people over in TR. I instantly thought FEA Smeargle. It could even set TR up when it's opponent is asleep so it became the next team member.

4831.png
2351.png
4841.png

Now I wanted a sweeper that could function well in TR so I looked at the speed stats. I wanted nothing over Base 100. Palkia is amazing even when it is slow so it must be a MACHINE when it is always going to be faster. This statement was correct.

4831.png

Next poke in the team had to be a relitively slow wall that could set TR up a few times. Similar to Bronzong in OU. I went for Deoxys Defence form. (I couldn't find the pics for the alternate forms so deal with it.) It can come in and set up TR and cause a bit of mayhem.

I didn't need any more Trick Rommers so I started looking for a tank. Kyogre was a shoe-in for that role and it also supported Palkia really well and it will always win 1 on 1 with other Kyogres while under TR. Having a weather that I was in control of was also useful as it allowed me to demolish sunny teams. One in particular I used their Chlorophyl against them and then cleaned up with Kyogre.

So now I was down to my last poke. I knew it had to be offensive and also able to function outside of TR in a worse case scenario. It was easy to work out what I needed. I needed a slow hard hitting uber that had access to priority. Giratina-O was the answer. It takes Mewtwo apart with a 2HKOand can always get the better of other dragons under TR.

I was in the middle of a battle with someone when one of the observers said that I needed a reliable sporer considering I had TR. Another said that I was wasting too many moveslots with TR. I said that my team was working and I already had a spore Smeargle but as a FEA poke it had little reliability. The observer, whom I can't remember, and I talked and came to the conclusion that Parasect would work really well considering I had permanent rain and TR. Since I put it in I have never looked back.

In Depth:
dpmba4831.png

Dialga (BlueBolt) @ Adamant Orb
Pressure
Relaxed 31/31/31/5/31/31
252 HP / 252 Att / SpD 4
Brick Break
Draco Meteor
Stealth Rock
Trick Room

This guy sets the scene. He has the typing to force a switch and only has had problems with Darkrai leads so far. Together Draco Meteor and Brick Break hit everything for neutral and it isn't helpless after the SpA drop from Draco. It can stealth rock for a bit of support for my sweepers. There isn't much else to say other than it works. It's typing allows it to come in a few times to set TR up considering it is immune to Psychic, Electric, Bug, Dark, Ghost, Grass and Water, all widely used move types in Ubers. I am thinking of giving it a shuca berry to help it beat Groudon leads. Adamant orb doesn't do alot due to it only having one STAB. It works in TR due to its worst stat being Speed. As a result of this it will at worst speed tie with other minimum speed Ubers. It also has amazing synergy with Giratina-O as it is immune to both of Dialga's weaknesses.

dpmba0471.png

Parasect (MagicMushroom) @ Leftovers
Dry Skin
Brave 31/31/31/0/31/31
252 HP / 252 Att / 4 Def
Pursuit
Seed Bomb
Spore
X-Scissor

Parasect is amazing. Especially late game when the opponent has lots of weakened pokes. It will always be the fastest pokemon on the field under TR. It is slower than minimum Forretress and Bronzong the only two pokes that would be running min speed in Ubers. The set was easy here. A super fast spore was obvious. Once it has been put to sleep pursuit deals some major damage when they try and switch out. Especially with the amount of psychic pokes around. Seed Bomb and X-Scissor are for STAB and deal some pretty hefty damage to Kyogre/Groudon and Psychics respectively. Groudon will always try and come in due to dry skin. In these cases Seed Bomb will really dent Groudon and two Seed Bombs will result in a dead Groudon most of the time which is always nice. :D

dpmba4841.png

Palkia (PurpleRain) @ Lustrous Orb
Pressure
Quiet 31/1/31/0/31/31
252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
Dragon Pulse
Surf
Thunder
Trick Room

My main sweeper. Palkia is deadly even with a fairly low speed for Ubers. When in TR it tears apart teams. If it comes in after Kyogre it will almost always get a few kills. It is that good. it is also protected by its typing which grants it a couple of 4x resists and only 1 weakness. It hits everything at least neutral meaning next to nothing is safe from it. When under TR is nigh impossible to counter and can only really be revenge killed. Even then my opponent will have a hard time getting the job done.
It can set up its own TR in dire circumstances and having that extra TR has saved me many times especially when Parasect and it have been the last two pokes. It set up TR allowing Parasect to come in and sweep the last few pokes before TR stopped. It does its job amazingly and I couldn't ask for anything better.

dpmba3861.png

Deoxys-Defence (NoNeck) @ Leftovers
Pressure
Sassy 31/31/31/0/2/31
252 HP / 8 Att / 124 Def / 124 SpD
Knock Off
Recover
Toxic
Trick Room

This guy is my pivot. It comes in when TR leaves and procedes to be annoying. It TRs then either recovers or toxics. If I don't need to do either then I can knock off the opponents item which can lead to a crippled Lati@s or Life Orb Sweeper. Either way it is useful. Even though it does its job well it still doesn't play the part of a lone wall very well. I would like this poke changed but It would have to be another slow mixed wall that can deal with most offensive threats. Something that is rather hard to comeby. Even if I don't change it the job will still get done well. It does what it can and that is usually enough for me to work at a win. Any suggestions of replacements or improvements would be very helpful.

dpmba3821.png

Kyogre (Phishy) @ Life Orb
Drizzle
Brave 31/1/31/0/31/31
252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
Ice Beam
Signal Beam
Thunder
Water Spout

This is my other special sweeper. It can deal major damage and hits everything hard. It can down most things that aren't ... I can just down most things. Ice Beam is for the Dragons. Thunder is for opposing Kyogres. Water Spout is an outrageous STAB move that will dent everything that doesn't absorb water. Signal beam is for the psychics and darkrai that think I can't hit them super effectively. It doesn't need set up due to life orb and the lack of Calm Mind has never been a problem so far. With a team thet needs to get alot done in 5 turns I can't really afford to stat up so i don't find myself with really slow pokes that are sitting ducks. Drizzle is needed for my team. Parasect recovers an amazing amount of health each turn with lefties and dry skin. Palkia also benefits from the water power boost and 100% accurate Thunder. It ability is necessary on this team so luckily it is awesome everywhere as well.

dpmba4871.png

Giratina-O (PlatinumTerror) @ Platinum Orb
Levitate
Brave 31/31/31/0/31/31
252 HP / 252 Att / 4 SpD
Earthquake
Outrage
Shadow Force (needs to be changed)
Shadow Sneak

This is my insurance policy and physical sweeper. Its two stabs are only resisted by steel which is weak to ground thus Earthquake. Shadow Sneak is the insurance. It is STAB, Powered up by Platinum orb, Super effective against the psychics who think they can kill me and most importantly Priority. It will wreck havoc in TR and then continue to kill once it is over. Mewtwo is cleaned up by this as well as special walls that expect it to be running a mixed set. It usually comes out straight after Dialga and will almost exclusively use Shadow Sneak once TR leaves. Other than that there is little to say. Before you all ask about the item. I don't know what happens with Shoddy but Griseous Orb isn't there so any insight about that would be much appreciated.

So that is my team. I know it can be improved alot but it works well for now. I haven't had a good go at laddering with it yet but I will have a go once this is over and I have your suggestions. Thanks in advance for the rates and sorry if the sprites are a little confusing due to forms. I can change them to other types of sprites or remove them altogether if too many people are getting confused.

I think you should use Surf/Hydro Pump over Signal Beam on Kyogre. Water Spout is only good the first two times you use it, then the other two are usually stronger and Signal Beam isn't doing anything for you.

One thing really screws you over, and that is Taunt. As soon as Trick Room is revealed, your opponent would just stall you out of Trick Room turns, bring in their Taunter and stop you setting up Trick Room again. From there, they sweep your team. Thankfully, most Taunters in Ubers are Psychic, so a strong Pursuiter is helpful (Parasect doesn't cut it, IMO). Replace it with Tyranitar.

Tyranitar @ Life Orb/Expert Belt
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/4 SpD, IVs: 0 Spe
Nature: Adamant
-Pursuit
-Crunch
-Stone Edge
-Earthquake/Low Kick

The EVs allow you to survive a +1 Timid Mewtwo's Aura Sphere. Pursuit the Mew, Mewtwo or Deoxys thinking they can switch out (Crunch if they think they can kill you), then Trick Room can work.

That's the main critique done, now onto some quick nitpicks:
- On Dialga, why are you running Adamant Orb?? It only powers up Draco Meteor a bit. Adamant Orb is pretty much only used if you are bluffing a Choice item, and since you're a lead Dialga, no-one would think you're Choiced. Replace it with Leftovers or Lum Berry.
- On Palkia, I have no idea why you are running Dragon Pulse when Spacial Rend is available to you. The only difference is 5% accuracy and lower PP, but it is more powerful and may give you some free hax.
- Like SevveN mentioned, replace Signal Beam with Surf or Hydro Pump for Kyogre. Water Spout is weaker than Surf after it drops below 75%, and you really need a reliable STAB on a sweeper. Signal Beam is pretty much redundant, as Psychics (Apart from Celebi) and Darkrai are all OHKO'd by Surf in the rain anyway (Surf in the rain is stronger than a Super Effective Signal Beam, Surf getting double STAB becomes 213 Base Power and Super Effective Signal Beam is 150).
- If you don't like Shadow Force on Giratina-O, a good move to replace it with can be Substitute. It blocks stuff like burns (Coming from stall Mewtwo) and sleep which can really fuck it up. Just so you are aware, the Platinum Orb is the Griseous Orb.

Good luck on your team.

I haven't run into a taunter yet (is that weird?) so I haven't needed to think about it. Maybe because I haven't laddered properly with it yet. Anyways I appreciate the suggestion. If I do run the T-tar should I then change the Palkia set due to it not getting always hit Thunder as often. I suppose i got a bit caught up in the coolness factor of Parasect. Meh I will change it If I need to.
Another point is that Giratina is a 2HKO on those psychics anyway with Shadow Sneak unless they pack some Physical Bulk. I assume taunters would have bulk so that point loses anyway.
I will switch the item on Dialga to Lum Berry So i can beat Darkrai leads which previously screwed me over.
And showing just how noob I am when it comes to ubers. I (ashamed to admit) thought Spacial Rend was like Roar of time. So i will change that too.
I will change Kyogre to include surf over signal beam.
Substitute sounds good for Giratina so thanks for that as well.

Well thanks again for the rate.

Put a lum on Dialga, take out Deoxys-D, you shouldn't be wasting Trick Room turns not even setting up hazards. I suggest putting Aqua Tail on Palkia, as the point of using Trick Room is letting your sweepers get 252 Attk and 252 Sp Attk, not 252 HP. Otherwise, Blissey walls almost everyone on your team. Scizor could replace Giratina-o as a slow pokemon that gets access to priority, and it gets U-turn to keep up the momentum, as well as being able to take out the two primary Taunters (Mewtwo and Mew) while being a nice Dragon resist. If you decide to Giratina-o, replace Shadow Force with Draco Meteor. When I was new to Ubers, I was rather put off by the -2 SpAttk, but Draco Meteor's sheer power more than makes up for that. Again, having Trick Room allows you to use 252 Attk and 252 SpAttk, so take advantage of this. Giratina-o is bulky enough anyway.

P.S. shrang, those T-tar ev's don't let you take a +1 Timid Mewtwo Aura Sphere. To do that, a T-tar must run 252 HP 200 SpDef and a Careful nature. In any case, either set runs into Trouble with Physically Defensive Mewtwo, but Palkia and Kyogre should be ble to take care of that.

Why Brave on Kyogre? I think you're looking for quiet...

You could try Thunder over Shadow Force: lets you hit those steels harder.

@ Private Piplup: Point taken I will be making those changes. I am planning to use the generic Uber CB Scizor instead of T-Tar. I assume it can do the pusuit job rather well. I will swap for Aqua Tail on Palkia and DM on Giratina. You also said to take out Deoxys-D. What would you suggest as a replacement?
@ Articanus: You are completely correct.
