Retentions are OPEN. Here is how they work:

You will PM me (either in Discord or Smogon) the name of the player you wish to retain. You will pay either 10k or that player's price from last year + 3k, whichever is greater. You may only retain two players, so choose wisely. You should have been provided already with your previous rosters + prices to give you an idea of your retention pools.



You may also trade retention rights of players, either for money or the retention rights of another player. To do this, both managers must PM me confirming the trade. I will not execute the trade unless I get confirmation from both parties.

This should go without saying, but please make sure the player you want to retain is actually signed up for the tournament before you declare the retention. The player in question also needs to confirm with me that they want to be retained.

So, it turns out that Smig has gotten banned for ghosting. This was unknown to the Choice Bandits, so the Choice Bandits shall have this retain cancelled and refunded (+10K).

Just so everyone knows, in addition to tourbanned users, any user who's been found cheating in the last 6 months, whether in tours forum or in a circuit, or anything else like that, is also not allowed in UPL.

- The playoffs will have 2 stages - The 1st placed team go directly to finals, while the 2nd and 3rd placed teams fight to get into finals.

So, during game 2, Iry ended up timing out. The thing is, Iry also had a bit of an advantage, so I wasn't too sure what to do at first. So, I asked Quite Quiet, as he is both (a) a TD (b) not participating in UPL, for help, and he said that even if the DCer was winning, and had a bad computer/internet(so in other words, Iry's computer/internet acting up isn't much of a defence) , the win would still go to the person who didn't DC provided the DCer has a low-ish timer. Now, Iry had DC'd from PS on the last 30 seconds of his timer, so therefore, the win would go to FLCL.

As for FLCL being "down for a rematch if host allows", I decided to ask him if he still wanted to rematch earlier today, as I figured whether the rematch happening was down to him. He said that he was taking the win. (His response is in the hide tag below.)

So, in other words, FLCL won game 2 of his Bo3 with Iry.
