Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
P-groudon makes an excellent lead and mixed attacker as well as a sold switch for most fighting types that threaten e-killer, while e-killer find more holes than most sweepers to set up a dance and sweep and with shadow claw it sweeps without predigests after damage from rocks.
Here's a nice Toxic Spikes build with Gothitelle and Mega Salamence. Toxic Spikes pair really well with Gothitelle because Gothitelle can trap and remove Defog users, meaning that Toxic Spikes will be up much more easily. Cloyster also Rapid Spins Stealth Rock for Mega Salamence. The team needed a Stealth Rock user, so I chose Primal Groudon, for fairly obvious reasons. A Darkrai check was needed, so I chose Choice Scarf Xerneas with Sleep Talk to fill this role. Finally I added Refresh Extreme Killer Arceus as a Ghost Arceus check and cleaning option. Refresh Mega Salamence is necessary to help deal with Ho-Oh. Pretty solid team; you have to get Stealth Rock up in matchups against Lugia or else you will lose. If you're worried about Lugia so much, you could run Lava Plume or even Toxic on Primal Groudon over Stone Edge, which isn't as important. Thunder Wave works too, but isn't nearly as good at breaking Multiscale. Watch out for Magic Bounce if you use Toxic.
Started with you're core of Choice Scarf Yveltal + Mega Gengar. Then I added your B- or lower Arceus forme, Dragon Arceus. Dragon Arceus synergizes well with Mega Gengar's ability to remove Fairies. I chose the Swords Dance variant with Extreme Speed, because Iron Tail isn't as necessary with Mega Gengar, and having priority was very helpful. Primal Groudon was then added as a Stealth Rock user, again for fairly obvious reasons; Stone Edge is necessary for Ho-Oh on this build. Klefki is great for role compression, so I chose that as it also gives me a safety net with priority Thunder Wave and has Spikes. You could even run Screens on this team if you want, perhaps with something like Swords Dance Stealth Rock Primal Groudon. The team, due to the core provided was going to struggle against standard hyper offense a lot, so I tried to be cool and decided to try something like Magic Coat Latios, which anti-leads Deoxys-S, checks Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon a couple of times in a match, and can break stuff down with +1 Draco Meteor.
Derexon, I know you submitted you're core a long time ago, I will say that Extreme Killer Arceus + Mega Gengar is pretty basic. Call me lazy, but I'll just leave you an import of a team that's sort of a variation of the Dragonceus one above, just a few tweaks to make it work a bit better for Extreme Killer Arceus. I chose Magic Coat Extreme Killer Arceus and Roost on Latios instead, as well as non-Scarf Yveltal. Not really interesting so I'm not gonna distinguish it in the listings of completed teams.
So here's a cool idea i've been trying to get opinions on for a while. With Birdspam being great in ORAS Rockeus has rightfully earned its name as the bird antidote, being able to check things such as Mence/Ho-oh/Rayray/some ygods. SD Arceus is a pretty big threat too. Why not both?
Pretty standard stuff - Get it in on something you can force out, press swords dance, do some damage. The main advantage SD Rockeus has over Groundecus is that you're not revenged by Levitate - a +2 Stone Edge memes even the bulkies of latis back and you do like 70% to standard gira-o so you can rip it after some chip damage. You are weaker to Pdon though - stone edge does almost as much as earthquake (that is, 0) and while rockeus was always a coin toss away from being an ekiller "check" this one in particular doesn't appreciate taking earthquakes. I guess you could run wow or something to bluff being support maybe.
The good thing about Rockeus is that checks to it such as Fightceus/Grassceus have dropped in popularity/are kinda bad and stuff like Skymin/MMX arn't that common, but without bulk investment it really struggles if you mispredict vs bandbird:
208+ Atk Choice Band Ho-Oh Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Arceus-Rock: 296-350 (77.6 - 91.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
The set is only a loose guideline btw, i'm interested to see if ada with some bulk or something like wow/magic coat would be any good. Again, i'm leaving this fairly open to see the builder's process, but something to take advantage of pdon/ekiller like extremly fatmence would probably be a good partner.
Requesting a pretty cool team built around CM Ghosteus + Mega Diancie, as Mega Diancie can massively pressure dark types and check Ho-Oh, and can also deflect hazards. Arceus Ghost can weaken steel types for the fairies with Focus Blast too! I'm not fussed about the playstyle, although I do like offense.
Lucario @ Lucarionite
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat --or-- Low Kick (whichever one is better, i simply point out low kick b/c it attains max dmg so much, and dsn't drop def, and has more pp)
- Bullet Punch
- Iron Tail
--and--
Deoxys-Attack @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 68 Atk / 252 SpA / 188 Spe
Naive Nature
- Psycho Boost
- Superpower --or-- Low Kick (above reasoning, although deo is alrdy frail as anything, the atk drop is annoying for suicide espeeds.)
- Knock Off
- Extreme Speed
The point of this core is really for Deo-A to come and clean up once all the annoying kangas are gone, and dark types in general. Lucario paves a nice wave of destruction around most switchins to psycho boost, ie: steels; darks and other fat things.
I have been trying to convince myself to try and build a decent team around fairy lock klefki and primal kyogre for some time now. The purpose is fairly straightforward. Use fairy lock on klefki the turn you expect primal groudon to knock you out and then proceed to switch in primal kyogre and murder don. The idea sounds really cool but I just doubt my teambuilding ability as well as my knowledge of the tier to properly build around the concept. Hopefully you guys can help me out. :P
I would really like to see a team featuring Arceus-Electric+POgre.
The core can somewhat function as a Ho-oH check and is able to overwhelm PDon.
Unfortunately it has many flaws but I'm curious about what you're able to do with these mons :D
The sets are up to you
Groudon-Primal @ Red Orb

After a couple of mediocre attempts at making a balanced team around this core, I settled on this unique t-spikes build. This build aims to pressure common checks to Ghostceus (dark types, Ho-Oh, Blissey), culminating in a lategame sweep when its checks are gone. Alternatively, Ghostceus can act as a breaker early game against teams with nothing but soft checks to make room for Skymin and Diancie to clean up. Diancie fares well against both possible leads from the sample team (Deoxys-S, Darkrai), so there is no pressure on the t-spikes setter to anti-lead them both. This allows the team to use Greninja, a t-spikes setter which can easily set and keep t-spikes up against bulkier teams (Rash Hydro Pump 2HKOs 252 HP / 0 SpD Mega-Sableye). Greninja also anti-leads Deoxys-A, a lead that Diancie struggles against. SubCM was chosen as Ghostceus' set because it abuses the passive damage provided by T-Spikes and annoys stall much more than Recover sets. Primal-Groudon was almost an obligatory addition to the team, as it needed a Xerneas check and SR setter. I speedcrept it quite a bit so there is minimal momentum loss when facing another PDon, as this team regrettably has no hard checks to the beast. At this point, I added Skymin, who is key in revenging SD Groundceus and Darkrai. Skymin+t-spikes also puts enormous pressure on my opponent and Healing Wish is very potent alongside GeoXern and SubCM Ghostceus. GeoXern was added last to act as a soft check to EKiller and Mega-Mence and has good offensive synergy with the rest of the team.
Sorry if this description is incoherent or poorly written (perhaps both!); i sort of rushed through it

Jolly Nature
- Dragon Claw

The general idea behind this is to scarf these two unexpectedly, receiving some (hoepfully) bad plays towards them due to their unexpected speed. Their bulk allows them to take a few hits, and they cover each other relatively well. I would like a Hyper Offensive or Balanced team, because I can't play stall very well.
Hey, what's up. I would like a team built around Calm Mind Xerneas for the longest team, but I'm not sure where to start. CM Xerneas is a pretty cool and underrated late-game sweeper, and I'd like to see how it performs. A balanced / semi-stall would seem like the best team archetype for this set. Thanks in advance !
Xerneas @ Leftovers
Ability: Fairy Aura
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Sleep Talk
- Rest
- Moonblast
I've been wanting a CM xern team myself and I feel like it could compliment Stone Edge Mewtwo X pretty well. MMX kills steel-types for Xern, and Xern is a long lasting fairy that can be a nuisance to M-Sab teams that MMX can't do much against. Just a suggestion on the general build really.
Requesting a team built around a pretty fun gimmicky set Defog+DD Mega Mence + Standard Rocks+ 3 Attack P-Don. Groudon blocks off Kyogre, Xerneas, and Mega Salamence, while Lava Plume whiskes Ferrothorn away. Max defense Mega Salamence is phenomenal at dealing with Ho-Oh, Arceus, and Rayquaza and defogging on them while presenting the surprising notion of setting up as well. I'm just quite interested to see what the builders can do with this core. Feel free to edit sets as needed!
I feel like this is worth pointing out for my core, as it was an excellent point brought up in the ubers room on PS! If a member of my core must be switched out to improve the HO mu, do it.

I don't know, I just thought that something so amazingly bad would receive enough bad plays to make it good. Not a very good strategy i suppose, but I want to see how well it works.

So building around Mega Lucario and Deoxys-Attack is tricky. However, both provide great utility versus Stall and Balance. I opted for Life Orb on Deoxys-A to dent holes into balanced builds. Now the focus was on making the team better versus HO. So I used Skarmory to checks important HO Pokemon like Extreme Killer and Mega Salamence. I also added Defog on him so he can Defog when needed versus those Pokemon he checks. With this spread he also can take special hits from Latis. Now, Waterceus was needed to check fire move Primal Groudon and Ho-Oh. Finally Xerneas with HP Ground for Primal Groudon and Aegislash and Primal Groudon to get rocks up and with Rock Polish so it can annoy offense when needed.
Sorry haxiom for interfering and sorry for double posting but there are things to be addressed:
1) Merritt a good team with Mega Gengar + Toxic Spikes has already been made by ZoroarkForever and is posted in the Ubers sample team thread. If you want to add Hex on Mega Gengar it also works instead Shadow Ball. However, WoW on Mega Gengar is bad since it conflicts with Toxic Spikes.
2) TheHungrySage sorry but Scarf Giratina is rejected. We are really glad to build around underrated and small niche Pokemon but this goes a bit too far.

CM Lati is a pokemon I've always liked, both in the mon's design, and the mons functions in the ubers tier. It is a very capable wallbreaker, and when paired with Yveltal, who can beat some of Lati's more prominent checks, these two make an amazing offensive core
I'm sorry... I know its bad. I know its a niche Pokemon. I just miss the terror this thing had in OU, and realized that we have zero teams with this thing. Literally every team that has used this since ORAS started has been recommended to change it to Klefki or something similar. Is there anyway this thing can actually still be used or is it just trash this gen?
I have no set to suggest, all I want is to see a team that actually can utilize this thing.
Good luck... and thank you beforehand.
Just an aside... if anyone thinks this isn't enough of a challenge already... I'd appreciate it if the team featured Shaymin-Sky. Both put a lot of pressure on checks/counters like ho-oh and groudon with a thunderbolt genesect and a earthpower shaymin luring those two... Doesn't need to feature shaymin if you think this is bad but would like if it did.
