Teambuilding Process
1. Started off with the idea of specs gira with hex + t spikes thinking it would be funny. immediately realised that it was a pipe dream to actually pull it off and scrapped it.

2. Following my realisation I scrapped everything and put together and team of 6 with tera ghost band tina (this 6 ended up remaining till the final version).

3. I then loaded vs Kine on ladder and realised that having my main breaker who uses polter and a knock user on the same team was not a good idea.

4. I then began to realise that the real mc of the team was the funny dog, and that psynoise on lati should be luster after being called out by finch and pooshi.

king (Giratina) @ Choice Band
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Shadow Sneak
- Poltergeist
- Earthquake
- Dragon Tail
tbh at first i thought that choice gira was never gong to get anything done, but after using it i actually quite liked it (its still kinda shite but its fun). as long as the opponent has no booster mons, balloon mons, darceus, and no terap/normals it cooks. most games i ended up teraing it cause the polter dmg was funny and so that i could leave gira in on mag cause the team kinda struggled to hit it otherwise. while the set does have 4 moves p much just clicked polter and on rare occasion sneak/d tail. polter calcs r very nice, tera ohkos zac, 2 hits any mag variant (u dont need tera for spdef but seeing it do 90 is funny), 2 hit arcs, ohko spdef tina.

9 - 5 (Alomomola) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Protect
- Wish
- Tickle
- Flip Turn
mola is just here to do its job, come in on physical hits (or to scout chiyu), wish up sometimes, and flip out. in combo with a breaker as bulky as gira it feels quite ez to pivot gira in and get it to receive a wish. tickle is there cause its just generally decent, but also cause i thought it would be funny to tickle smthing, flip to tina, and shadow sneak it for the kill. i think i managed to pull it off once or twice but idt i got the replay

.
house cat (Solgaleo) @ Leftovers
Ability: Full Metal Body
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Morning Sun
- Future Sight
- Roar
- Teleport
solgaleo is here cause i got bored of using mag tbh. loss of spikes isnt super bad cause team doesnt have knock for boots anyway. its just here as a pivot to get gira in and sometimes set a f sight, which is nice for zac and dealing with defensive poisonceus which was a bit of an issue for the team (wisp arc in general was a bit annoying), and it was a way for me to fit some phasing on the team.
saitama (Zacian) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Intrepid Sword
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Play Rough
- Close Combat
- Substitute
while the team was built around gira zacian ended kinda being the actual carry a lot of times, shocking. t fight cc to hit the normals gira cant was fun in theory (and practice to just hit things in general), but not being able to hit poisonceus was annoying. sub was somewhat helpful in dealing with the teams wisp arc weakness, and i wouldnt want to make it tb cause teraing gira is fun, so idk whatd u do with this set (it doesnt
have to change but it felt awkward at times). this mon kinda carries the darceus mu in combination with wish support from alo.
respect check (Latios) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Psychic
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Trick
- Draco Meteor
- Luster Purge
- Flip Turn
after testing on ladder (and only ladder) i have realised ppl dont respect the scarf trick. latios is here for lando (if its sludge wave its joever), to be a scarfer/speed control, and cause scarf trick is a great solution to a lot of things and forces a lot of mindgames:
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9ubersuu-2266708361-wlosb3m22x4rvf4qb635zlttmoh12xkpw. idk if lusterpurge drops r actually real though cause idt i had single game where they happened and were ueful.
legos begone (Terapagos) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Tera Shift
Tera Type: Stellar
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Tera Starstorm
- Dark Pulse
- Rapid Spin
since gira was finally being used to its true potential on this team i had to go elsewhere for hazard control, which ended up being terap. tera shell as always is a nice get out of jail free card if u fk up vs a number of sweepers. switching into ghost hits for gira is a nice theoretical synergy but idk if it actually came up for me. ended up vs a hazard stack with spdef gira one time and those hazards where never going away, not a fun mu.
overall team actually felt pretty good (
VS LADDER) and i had fun using it. suprise factor of gira made more than one person question what was going on and run to the dmg calc after their mag got poltered. cant stress enough how irritating wisp poisonceus is to vs, but so long as ur not vs that or anything else that stops polter gira breaks suprisingly well (idt think any non resist/immunity actaully takes tera polter considering its has odds to 2 hit dozo). thx u for the prompt, first time ive actully had fun building smthing and merry christmas.
