I jumped into UU about a week ago. I didn't get a chance to play the clusterfuck UU. UU has been a very fun tier so far, with it's variety of strategies and pokemon. At first I hastily put together a team because I wanted to battle right away, but after a few tweaks, the team became a major success.
There is no real strategy. In most matches I usually just try to remove Toxicroak's counters so the little frog can set up and destroy. Onto the team.
Little Red Corvette (Arcanine) (F) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 192 HP/252 Atk/64 Spd
Naughty nature (+Atk, -SDef)
- Flare Blitz
- Extremespeed
- Toxic
- Overheat
Legacy Raider's lead Arcanine set. Does well against most leads besides dumb shit like Claydol, and lures out the opponent's bulky water of choice right away, so I can start wearing them down.
Plays a major role at any point of the game with Intimidate, (surprisingly) good bulk, and ability to utilize Trick Scarves. I noticed it can come in A LOT of times in any given match because rocks usually don't come up right away, unlike OU. Overall just really reliable and awesome.

Peach (Azumarill) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP/168 Atk/88 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Encore
- Waterfall
- Substitute
- Focus Punch
Apparently Azumarill use as been going down, and when you do see them it's usually a Choice Bander. This set capitalizes on the surprise factor by threatening many things with Aqua Jet and hiding behind a Sub. Max HP for 101 HP subs, speed to outrun Clefable, one of the faster walls, and rest in attack (Peach still reaches 390 attack).
I love how the water mouse throws defensive/stall teams in a panic. Azumarill can switch in on countless walls and act accordingly. Encore is used to disrupt Stealth Rocks, Screens, Calm Minds, and sometimes status behind a sub. The water/fighting combo is resisted by Grass/Poisons (the frail Roserade is the most common, however I came across a Synthesis one that stalled for a bit), and Altaria, who gets Encored if it tries to set up once it sees itself get hit for 20-25%.

Shitty Design (Spiritomb) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/140 Atk/116 SDef
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Sucker Punch
- Pursuit
- Will-o-wisp
- Pain Split
Kind of a meh set for UU, but it gets the job done, wearing down many things with Pursuit, WoW, and Pain Split, and Sucker Punching unsuspecting foes. I needed something to take on Calm Mind Missy and other special attackers. It just needs to watch out for Will-O-Wisp itself.
I kind of don't like this pokemon, but it certainly gets the job done. It is just too good. Anything suggestions in this slot to counter Missy and can take special hits well, or perhaps a better set and EV spread will be greatly appreciated.
---
Sexy (Shaymin) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Seed Flare
- Earth Power
- Air Slash
- Rest
Questionably too much for UU to handle, Shaymin is awesome, checking lots of waters and grounds, and shooting monstrous Seed Flares. It has the power, the bulk, and the speed. Sweeper version usually gets the most kills. Pretty self-explanatory.
---
Adobe (Claydol) @ Light Clay
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/96 Atk/100 Def/60 SDef
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Reflect
- Earthquake
- Explosion
I initially needed something to set up for the final sweep, set Rocks, and check fire types, and Dual Screen Claydol did the trick. But I still wanted Claydol to be useful early game countering Fighters, so I put EQ over Light Screen. Toxicroak is usually setting up on bulky waters anyway. Explosion fun.
---
Triphallus (Toxicroak) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Poison Jab
- Earthquake
- Sucker Punch
Good sweeper. I love it's ability. Toxicroak as a sweeper to helps a ton vs. rain and stall teams, absorbing the powerful water attacks and resisting a majority of their secondary moves, and absorbing Toxic Spikes. Usually during matches I am formulating a plan setting up the Toxicroak sweep.
I went with Poison Jab/Earthquake over Cross Chop/Stone Edge because of accuracy and because Nidoqueen was a bitch.

Some issues the team has:
-I keep getting outlasted by stall teams. My attackers aren't powerful enough to break down walls. I usually use Azumarill to ruin stall teams, but if there is something like Spiritomb or anything that can take Azumarill's attacks and take down it's Subs, Azumarill isn't getting very far. I do not want to resort to a spinner because they seem like a waste of time (however, that may just be a leftover mentality from OU). Instead, a strong attacker that fits would be preferred. I realized I have no Choice items/ridiculously strong attackers to break down walls. Help please!
That's pretty much it. Thanks to everyone in advance.
