Umbreon carves itself a niche in the Ubers tier thanks to its solid special bulk and rare Ghost resistance. Although it faces stiff competition from Tyranitar and Mandibuzz, it differentiates itself with its ability to offer Wish support to its teammates. Protect allows Umbreon to receive Wish safely and scout moves from Choice item users like Galarian Darmanitan. Foul Play is Umbreon's main STAB move that deals good damage to most physical attackers, including Zacian-C. Snarl is an alternative that lets Umbreon deal with boosting special attackers such as Metronome Eternatus. Baton Pass allows Umbreon to keep momentum, Wish pass to teammates safely, and escape trappers. Alternatively, Taunt prevents walls like Ferrothorn from taking advantage of Umbreon by setting entry hazards or using recovery moves. It also allows Umbreon to prevent Nasty Plot Gothitelle from sweeping instead of getting PP stalled by it. Maximum Special Defense investment with a Calm nature is used to take on special attackers like Dragapult and offensive Eternatus reliably.

Umbreon fits on balance teams with bulky Pokemon such as Hatterene, Aegislash, and Rotom-H that benefit from its Wish support. Counterplay to Zacian-C such as Quagsire, Hippowdon, and Ditto is required, and Fighting-type checks such as Eternatus, Toxapex, and Galarian Corsola are also needed. Wallbreakers like Dracovish and Galarian Darmanitan benefit from a slow Baton Pass and help to break through passive Pokemon that Umbreon struggles with. Dugtrio and Gothitelle are also notable for taking advantage of Baton Pass support and trapping passive Pokemon—and in Dugtrio's case, Zacian-C—that annoy Umbreon.

you should mention snarl as an option to beat metronome eternatus and to annoy hatterene/zard

Mention Snarl to help beat strong Special attackers (boosters) like SituM has brought up (Metronome Eternatus), its inferior to Foul Play mostly.

QC: 1/2

I'd slash Snarl, usage in MW is showing it more than Foul Play since its spot on teams is pretty dedicated to Eternatus. Has smaller uses vs the other niche special mons going around.

Speed creeping for uninvested Gothitelle is recommended so that Umbreon can use Baton Pass or Taunt against it first.
as much as i understand the point (there are like 10+ viable mons in the 60-70 range) we still can't talk speed creep in c&c. player optimizations are down to them. you could mention 0 speed corviknight investment (20 evs) but...

Wallbreakers like Zacian-C benefit from a slow Baton Pass and help to break through passive Pokemon that Umbreon struggles with.
id mention a different breaker because no good bulky team will have much trouble with zacian-c unless its heavily supported which is out of the scope of this preview. dracovish and darm come to mind as better ideas.
