Results came out sooner than I thought but regardless I shall make this a past gen week as I mentioned before. I am going to make this a DPP/Gen 4 week. You can build around anything you want from this generation. DPP VR rankings can be found here, it goes without saying to not steal the samples. Even if you aren't the most experienced with DPP consider giving it a go regardless. Have fun.

After seeing the topic for this week, I was happy and sad. Happy because I got to get back into DPP building, and sad because I know the top of the barrel players (esta, juno, donny) are probably gonna post and I'm not gonna even have a chance to win. But, I build to build, not to win, so yea. Anyways, I started with Offensive CM Clefable, which is a very potent, yet overlooked pokemon in the current DPP UU metagame. It can struggle with stuff like Milotic, other CM users, etc. so I paired it with Berry+Explosion Steelix. With it's passho berry, it can lure in Milotic and proceed to take a hit (even LO Hydro) and Explode, taking out or severely crippling Milotic or other pokemon. Next, I went with Scarf Venusaur as my lead, as a fast Sleep Powder can help with the Spikes/Trick Room/Rain matchup. Scarf Venusaur is just good speed control in general, being able to revenge stuff that threatens this build, like Nasty Plot Houndoom (watch out for sucker), as long as you keep it healthy. Blastoise helps check stuff like Rhyperior, Gatr, or DD Altaria, as well as provides Hazard Control. Spiritomb helps check stuff like Mismagius, Fightings, Houndoom (somewhat), and so on, and is the team's Spinblocker. Finally, while it's kind of a weird fit, Specs Altaria helps lure in Chansey and other fat spdef mons, which Clefable can setup on. It also helps break stuff like Rhyperior that would overwhelm Clefable. It also provides another water resist, Ground resist, Venusaur check, as well as a Sleep Powder switch in. Overall, probably not my best work considering I haven't built DPP in a year, but it's workable.

are you tired of rain and hail ruining your parade? would you rather enjoy your day in the sun? then look no further than this team

sunnybeam moltres is probably one of the coolest anti-weather measures you can run in this tier. definitely a top 5 wallbreaker too theres very little that can stomach its hits for long. qwilfish lead bc im cheap and like them hazards up early. more importantly though it prevents rocks from going up immediately which obviously would hurt moltres a lot bc timbs didnt exist back in the day kids. shiftry is a fun pick that can take advantage of leftover sun turns but is actually a surprisingly self-sufficient sweeper even outside of sun. dont underrestimate this thing. rest of the team patches up some holes while maintaining the teams offensive nature. hitmontop gives you a backup spinner with priority that also packs a punch. registeel provides obligatory stealth rocks and all around useful resists. try heat rock>occa if you like but ive found the extra insurance vs fires types very helpful. you may not even need sunny day last (twave instead comes to mind for example) but it enables the two main attractions of the team quite nicely. lastly is scarf rotom a mon i apparently cant build offense without. spin blocker, triple immunity + a good set of resistances, trick support, solid stabs - what else could you possibly want from a scarfer.

this team is all out offensive so dont expect to be switching into strong attacks with this team. you have double priority double boom and a scarfer to deal with threats so use them wisely. its not hard to maintain pressure on many teams with these 6 so ideally you will be controlling the pace of the game. dont preserve sth at low health just for the sake of having an extra sac if it means taking damage with your main damage dealers - be smart about it.

have fun

uxie provides lead rocks and t wave support on this team to assist with NP misamagius and LO venusaur. It is able to get up rocks consistently and is very tanky with 75/130/130 alongside lefties. It also has u-turn to bring in the dangerous threats such as dugtrio, venusaur, and misamgius. Especially dugtrio since it can freely come in especially when uxie has 0 speed IV's + a hindering nature. Registeel helps against the dark and ghost types that scare uxie out such as drapion, mismagius, and spiritomb. It also is a sweeper that is hard to break due to very high defenses and the ability to boost its defence even further with curse, and being able to use rest to keep itself healthy and sleep talk to boost while it is asleep. Venusaur is the special breaker of the team, having nuclear leaf storms and annoying sludge bombs, alongside devastating sleep powders which last 1-5 turns. Synthises keeps venusaur healthy to continue to launch nuclear attacks. Misamgius takes advantage of the fact that most of venusaurs awnser are defensive pokemon such as chansey, altaria, and weezing which allows it to sub on them and launch attacks or use them as setup fother. It also has a crucial ghost typing which allows it to spin block against the tier and levitate gives it a nice ground immunity. Dugtrio traps some of the biggest threats in the tier such as blaziken, houndoom, and toxicroak and allows to revenge kill pokmon with sucker punch, also allows to set up substitute against scared out pokemon such as moltres, and weak pokemon that cannot touch it such as weezing, or against choice locked pokemon such as choice scarfed rotom locked into thunderbolt. milotic is the final member of the team and it is provides the team with a crucial fire resistance to not get beaten up by moltes and blaziken's fire blast. it has surf, ice beam, and hp grass which allows it to hit most of the tier for neatral damage at least, and recover allows it to stay healthy through the game and do its job of checking the pokemon it needs to check

Congrats to esche, so good at DPP oml

:ss/Buzzwole:
For this week I shall use one of the new drops being Buzzwole. There is a lot to be explored with this Pokemon thanks to the number of sets it can potentially pull off: Choice Band, Choice Scarf, BU, Defensive, 3 Atks Roost, etc. It has a very diverse movepool, which for the most part allows it to pick and choose its checks and counters. Curious to see the different types of sets people opt to try out.

Deadline is Saturday

Are you tired of using Moltracer's stall team for getting reqs on every suspect test? Looking for a stall team that isn't so passive that it'll put you to sleep, but is still annoying enough to make your opponent rip their scalp off of their head? Well look no further! Introducing SwoleStall, the Buzzwole stall team that promises to revolutionize the stall archetype like never before! Starring 3 Attacks + Roost Buzzwole, which not only can take physical attacks for days, but with its naturally good Attack stat, it won't just be a sitting bug! Remember to run Rock Slide to hit Moltres and Chandelure, though! Sometimes, though, those pesky Flying types can get to be a little too much for poor Buzzwole, especially that nasty Salamence. Never fear, Diancie is here! With its incredible 150 Defense on both ends of the spectrum, it can sit in front of Mence for days on end! It makes for a pretty good rocker too! But what if your Buzzwole and Diancie have been hit with Toxic, cutting their longevity in half? Well then, look no further than Umbreon! With access to both Heal Bell and Wish, Umbreon is the quintessential cleric for any stall team! Make sure that your Umbreon is Shiny to up the coolness factor of your team by one million percent! An Amoonguss is a necessary addition to any stall team. We all know and love it, so I don't think I need to hype it up. Moltres, on the other hand, is a mon that deserves hyping! Its newfound access to Heavy-Duty Boots makes it an amazing defogger, and gaining access to moves like Mystical Fire and Scorching Sands allow it to cripple special and physical attackers alike! Add in its access to Flame Body, and you have a mon that'll have all offensive teams begging for mercy! Last but not least, we have the mon, the myth, the scourge of offensive teams of both past and present. Give it up for... CROCUNE!!!!!! This iconic Suicune set has been the bane of Smogon players for generations on end, and now, it's come to SwoleStall! With an all-star lineup like this, not even the most vehement stall haters will be able to resist the allure of SwoleStall! So what are you waiting for? Call 1-800-QUAGSIRE-SUCKS to order your SwoleStall today! That's 1-800-QUAGSIRE-SUCKS! What's more, if you call within the next hour, we'll give you FREE SHIPPING on your order! So don't waste another second, and call 1-800-QUAGSIRE-SUCKS now! SwoleStall: the stall team that will make you feel like a man!

This was not what I meant to build. I started with CB and ended up with boots+3 attacks, so yea. Anyways, 3 attacks Buzzwole can utilize either Wingbeat, Edge, or Ice Punch depending on what you wanna hit, in this case, I went Wingbeat. Dual Wingbeat allows Buzzwole to lure in shit like Tangrowth, Amoonguss, other Buzzwole, and incase your opponent is smoking some good shit, defensive Kommo-o. I paired this with CM Primarina with Draining Kiss, which absolutely 6-0s half the tier and appreciates Buzzwole's ability to trash Amoonguss/AV Tang. CC/EQ is also nice for fatter stuff like Chansey, etc. Next is the mon that I spam way too often, Scarf Krook. It compresses a Ground, Psychic Immunity, Speed Control, and Knock Spammer all in one slot. It's just so useful, yet so fuckin punishable. Its honestly a curse to end up using this mon a lot of the time, but it's def solid. Mew gives the team a rocker that can help Wisp stuff like Washtom or Mence. Honestly, Knock is probably better than Psychic here, but I would be pretty pissed if I brought a Mew that loses to fucking Amoonguss of all things. Mew is also a decent Fighting resist, so that helps with the Buzzwole MU. Mence defogs like usual, checks Scizor, does standard Mence things. Finally, Amoonguss helps keep Prim in check, while also acting as a Knock Absorber, a Spore answer that doesn't lose to the one Spore user automatically, as well as a way to help keep Raikou from just subbing in your face via Seed Bomb (which also helps with sub prima but is otherwise fucking garbage). Toxic is for kommo-o and other mons that just setup in moonguss face generally. So yea, sorry for the long post. Hope you enjoy.

It is a joyous occasion with Buzzwole in the tier today. To celebrate, I paired with a really cool Choice Band Azelf. They are both the primary breakers of this team, with Buzzwole actually acting as Speed Control with a Choice Scarf. With Adamant Scarf it outspeeds anything in the tier that isn't scarfed itself (even Noivern). The only things it won't outspeed are Crobat and Jolteon and Aerodactyl but who even uses those. Just needs one kill to get its Beast Boosting underway and complete a sweep. Seismitoad offers some defensive utility + rocks, Chansey acts as a safe defensive pivot, Thundurus acts as an aggressive pivot that also has reliable coverage and emergency Defog support. Hatterene is the final choice for a sweeper if it sees an open opportunity. Overall I rate this team a 283/372.
