I am so unlucky that the second week, the one that I got the replay, only included the winner while week 1 includes top 3 :')And that's a wrap on the second official week of UPOW! (Some might call it the third, but who's counting)
The winner of this weeks UPOW award is hammy3581 - https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7randombattle-2459268002?p2
This battle was over before it even started when our unfortunate winner missed a wopping five gunk shots in a row, which had a mere 0,032% chance of happening! This let his opponent set up three layers of spikes that would haunt him for the rest of the game.. As a cherry on top, the match ended with a lost speed tie coin flip. I'm sure I'd need to take a break after a game like that.
To make things a little clearer for everyone, every winner of UPOW is entitled to one tour token, an intangible 'voucher' which will let you choose the next tour in the Random Battles room on Pokemon Showdown. Keeping track of and using these tokens is your responsibility, so if you win don't forget to claim your prize over on Showdown!

And with that begins Week 3! The next deadline is Sunday, October 19th.
Unluckiest part was queuing into the GOAT John DOZO tbh honestly imohttps://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7randombattle-2459268002?p2
uploading this on behalf of hammy, turn 2-6 five gunk shot misses in a row (0,032% chance) enabling me to set up three spikes, which carried the game, and taking the +2 croak without a scratch. insult to injury when my +1 butterfree wins the speedtie vs zeraora to bag the free win
son learnt why you should never say gl
Objection:You kept waking up on turn 1 of sleepI did win the match against zvbcv because Slowpoke is broken but it's funny to see a Squirtle absolutely refusing to get paralyzed lol
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen1randombattle-2462451630
33 turns, 3 paralysis in total D:
The breakdown is the following:
- 2 turns of no para followed by a switch
- 17 consecutive turns of no para (so it's like 19 consecutive turns if we count the two from before)
- 1 turn of paralysis
- 10 consecutive turns of no para
- 2 consecutive turns of para
- 1 final turn of no para
