Hoopa is a passable wallbreaker that fits on offensive teams, particularly when paired with Sticky Web support from Masquerain and Spidops and teammates that can pivot it in safely. Psyshock allows Hoopa to hit special walls like Blissey on their weaker physical bulk, while Knock Off cripples RegenVest users like Alolan Muk and Meloetta that can otherwise take a hit and threaten a KO or pivot out to a faster offensive threat like Chien-Pao. Focus Blast 2HKOes Hisuian Goodra and KOes Kingambit that would attempt to switch in. Defensive pivots that can take a hit and pivot out like Corviknight and Meloetta can get Hoopa in safely. Dual screens setters like Prankster Corviknight and Mew also make for a good partner, as they allow Hoopa to have an easier time setting up with Nasty Plot or tank a hit in a pinch and retaliate. Offensive pivots like Slither Wing and Galarian Zapdos pair well with Hoopa with their ability to bait in and pivot out on checks like Corviknight and defensive Zapdos, allowing Hoopa to set up and threaten a KO; faster offensive threats like Chien-Pao and Barraskewda also pair well with it by making up for its lackluster Speed while Hoopa threatens out their checks like defensive Quaquaval.

IVs: 0 Atk if you're running knock off you really shouldn't be running 0atk ivs tbh, 31evs gives you useful ranges like turning melo from a roll to a guaranteed 2HKO and getting an 80% roll to ohko ceruledge after rocks. 0IV is optimal if you're running psyshock, but you won't always. you can keep this or remove this
