This thread's purpose is to show creative and effective spreads outside of the bog standard ones that persist of two stats with maximum investment.. You can submit for any Pokemon so long as it isn't unranked.

Here are some simple rules to follow:
  1. Don't be an idiot.
  2. No reserving spreads if you think other people might know about yours. You should be making your own spread anyway.
  3. If you worked with someone, please make note of that in your post.
  4. Try not to post in this thread other than submitting. If you have any questions, you can PM me on PS!, leave a message on my wall, or PM me on Discord.
  5. PLEASE BE SURE TO CREATE A WELL DESCRIBED POST. If there is no description, your spread will NOT be considered to be added.
  6. Lastly, please don't make it a 252 / 252 spread, that would be very boring . It's also going against the purpose of this thread.
Here is an example format you can follow:

@ Flyinium Z
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Fly
- Gravity
- Stealth Rock
the spread does things

That's pretty much all you need to know! Please follow the rules, and remember to have fun posting :toast:!

USM OverUsed Spread Compendium

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 132 HP / 128 SpD / 248 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Lava Plume
- Earth Power
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
It deviates from the classic spdef tran spread into a more speedy one, which is pretty useful because the speed means that you're outspeeding max speed Magearna so you can taunt it before it starts setting up, and also opposing spdef Heatrans. This set also allows you to win 1v1 against most variants of Heatran as other spdef variants are outsped, max speed timid doesn't OHKO with Earth Power and gets OHKOed back, and it comes down to a speed tie (if 248 speed) + roll against Modest Tran.

Submitted by MFJK

Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers / Figy Berry
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 76 Def / 184 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock / Protect
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power [Ice] / Toxic / Hidden Power Fire
- U-turn
This set is pretty cool set I made in a rate. It just outspeeds Max Speed Timid Heatran, and serves as a soft-check to stuff like Zyg and LandoT or Kartana. It's more of an offensive variant of the old defensive set

Submitted by XxAwesomePlayzxX

Alakazam-Mega @ Alakazite
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 32 Def / 224 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Recover
On Hawlucha weak teams, this can be a pretty nice benchmark to hit - it lets you take an unboosted Acrobatics from Hawlucha at full HP.

Submitted by mellowyellowhd

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Def / 240 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball
One of my main issues with Ferrothorn is how unreliable of an Ash-Gren check it can prove to be, so I usually like to run this spread to help out with that a bit. The Def investment as it guarantees you never die to Gyarados' +1 Supersonic Skystrike from full, then the rest goes into SpDef. You can run 232 SpDef if you want since you still avoid the 3HKO from pre-transformation Ash-Grens Dark Pulse and you take Lando's Earthquakes a little better, but I just prefer having a bit more SpDef personally.

Submitted by mellowyellowhd

Mawile-Mega @ Mawilite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 180 HP / 164 Atk / 164 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Play Rough
- Sucker Punch
- Knock Off / Thunder Punch
180 HP EVs allow Mawile to come in on Hawlucha, drop its Attack with Intimidate, and still survive a +1 High Jump Kick from it after 1 round of Stealth Rock. 180 HP also takes a Choice Specs-boosted Hidden Power Fire from Tapu Lele after 2 rounds of Stealth Rock.

Submitted by Jordy

Magearna @ Fairium Z
Ability: Soul-Heart
EVs: 212 HP / 252 Def / 44 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Pain Split
- Fleur Cannon
- Thunderbolt
Alternative magearna set a mix of set up and defensive utility. Fatter builds appreciate this mon it checks hoopa reuni mmaw and lele zam decently. This also provides a decent dark resist which is nice.

Submitted by JoJoUWU

Tornadus-Therian @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 52 Def / 204 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hurricane
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Defog
204 Speed is to U-turn on Choice Scarf Magnezone while maximizing physical bulk, which allows Tornadus-T to take a Choice Band-boosted Knock Off from Kartana after Stealth Rock damage.

Submitted by Jordy

Tornadus-Therian @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 88 HP / 164 Def / 32 SpA / 8 SpD / 216 Spe
Timid Nature
  • 88hp & 164 def - more def is preferred cuz max hp is garb on its frailness
  • this allows it do cool things such as eat a chomp outrage after rox etc.
  • but the real reason is to survive a medi ice punch from full (super situational ik but it could save a life so yeah...)
  • the hp also gives it a nice number, odd divisible by 3.
  • 88hp + 8spD - this allows it to survive LO protean gren ice beam from full (actually very useful for lead mus)
  • 216 speed to outpace scarf tar - don't go lower
  • 28 spA lets it ohko 0/4 lopunny
  • 32 is for the 2hko on 0/0 landot
  • jk. that's a 3hko after factoring in miss

Submitted by Ada

Tornadus-Therian @ Flyinium Z / Fightinium Z
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 88 HP / 160 SpA / 8 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
88 HP EVs in tandem with 8 SpD EVs allow Tornadus-T to live an Ice Beam from Protean Greninja from full.

Submitted by Jordy

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 248 HP / 132 Def / 48 SpD / 80 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stomping Tantrum
- Stealth Rock
- Poison Jab/ Fire Blast
- Toxic/ Roar
252+ SpA Heatran Corkscrew Crash (160 BP) vs. 248 HP / 48 SpD Garchomp: 310-366 (73.9 - 87.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after 1 layer of Spikes (which is 2 rounds of rocks, I'm a paranoid man)
and speed for hoopa and the boys, so you also obviously nab tran, this is the tankchomp that i use if i do use it, though granted Z heatran seems to appear a lot less frequently nowadays

Submitted by neomon

Greninja (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Protean
EVs: 200 Atk / 88 SpA / 220 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Ice Beam
- U-turn
- Rock Slide / Gunk Shot
- Spikes / Low Kick
Removes the ranges on 4/0 Kartana and 0/4 Mega Alakazam in exchange for some speed. This drops the speedtie with enemy Greninja but stays faster than +2 Adamant Excadrill. Without the scarf or at -1, Tornadus-T and Alakazam will also outspeed it. The third and fourth slots are super flexible so the on-site moves are listed here.

Submitted by catnumbers

Rotom-Wash @ Wiki Berry / Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 136 Def / 120 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Spe
This spread is a pretty interesting soft check to Ash-Greninja, as it can take 2 Choice Specs-boosted Dark Pulses from base Greninja and retaliate, while Wiki Berry gives it another chance. 30 Speed IVs are something I like to run on Rotom-W to ensure a slow Volt Switch against other Rotom-W.

Submitted by Jordy

Tapu Koko @ Electrium Z
Ability: Electric Surge
EVs: 20 HP / 236 SpA / 20 SpD / 232 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Defog
- Roost
- U-turn
232 Speed + Timid means you outspeed Adamant Dragonite at +1, it works on other sets too this is just the main Koko set atm. I would only really use this on ladder / if you're very paranoid of random Dragonite HO teams, since the mon isn't very common or good, but it's only 16 EVs more than the usual spread, so you're not missing out on much even if you don't face a Dragonite.

Submitted by mellowyellowhd

Tyranitar @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 248 HP / 184 Atk / 68 Def / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Pursuit
- Stone Edge / Crunch
- Earthquake / Fire Punch / Crunch
  • 248 hp & 8 spD lets m-tar to survive timid lele focus blast
  • 68 def let it survive kart sacred sword from full
  • 184 atk hits a jump point

Submitted by Ada

Diancie-Mega @ Diancite
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 88 HP / 168 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Diamond Storm
- Moonblast
- Stealth Rock / Earth Power
- Protect
[*]+1 252+ SpA Volcarona Giga Drain vs. 88 HP / 0 SpD Diancie: 194-230 (73.7 - 87.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
[*]+1 252+ SpA Volcarona Giga Drain vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Diancie: 194-230 (80.4 - 95.4%) -- 50% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
[/LIST]
It lets you live a Solar Beam from Timid Charizard Y:
  • 252 SpA Charizard-Mega-Y Solar Beam vs. 88 HP / 0 SpD Diancie: 214-254 (81.3 - 96.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
  • 252 SpA Charizard-Mega-Y Solar Beam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Diancie: 214-254 (88.7 - 105.3%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO
It also has a significantly higher chance to live certain attacks post-Mega Evolution, such as
  • 252+ SpA Heatran Earth Power vs. 88 HP / 0 SpD Diancie-Mega: 200-236 (76 - 89.7%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
  • 252+ SpA Heatran Earth Power vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Diancie-Mega: 200-236 (82.9 - 97.9%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
  • 252 Atk Lopunny-Mega High Jump Kick vs. 88 HP / 0- Def Diancie-Mega: 226-267 (85.9 - 101.5%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO
  • 252 Atk Lopunny-Mega High Jump Kick vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Diancie-Mega: 226-267 (93.7 - 110.7%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO
  • +1 252 SpA Blacephalon Shadow Ball vs. 88 HP / 0 SpD Diancie-Mega: 202-238 (76.8 - 90.4%) -- 25% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
  • +1 252 SpA Blacephalon Shadow Ball vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Diancie-Mega: 202-238 (83.8 - 98.7%) -- 75% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
  • 252 SpA Ribombee Moonblast vs. 88 HP / 0 SpD Diancie-Mega: 117-138 (44.4 - 52.4%) -- 17.6% chance to 2HKO
  • 252 SpA Ribombee Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Diancie-Mega: 117-138 (48.5 - 57.2%) -- 91.4% chance to 2HKO
and probably other stuff I haven't discovered.

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 180 HP / 76 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Earthquake
- Facade
A more offensive take, meant for those who don't mind staying in on Medi with their Zard. 180 HP is a Poison Heal benchmark which isn't OHKOd by Scarf Lele, and 76 Atk OHKOs at +2. If even one Lele (not Scarf) runs Modest, you have slight advantage. Chip Kyub and it's the same story.

Submitted by Licholas

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 148 HP / 248 SpD / 112 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock / Defog
- Earthquake
- Toxic / U-turn
- Roost
112 Spe EVs are to outpace Timid Heatran, 148 HP EVs hit a Poison Heal benchmark, and it tandem with 248 SpD EVs ensure that Gliscor will always survive Heatran's ZSteel from full. Finch posted similar spread in SSD discussion thread once, but it had more Spe EVs and slightly less bulk.

Submitted by Egor

Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Light Metal
EVs: 248 HP / 168 Atk / 56 Def / 36 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Curse / Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Knock Off / U-turn
- Roost
  • 248 hp & 56 def lets it tank 2 cb zyg 1kArrows from full (no stealth rock)
  • 36 spD to live one hp fire from scarf lele/zone
  • rest in atks :)

Mew @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 80 HP / 244 SpD / 184 Spe
Careful Nature
- Earthquake
- Soft-Boiled
- Will-O-Wisp
- Defog
This spread allows Mew to eat 2 Moonblasts from Choice Specs Tapu Lele, almost always countering Z-Move Heatran and being able to handle max SpA Mega Diancie. This set fits more on Stall teams as a good check to common stallbreakers (like the aforementioned ones).

Submitted by XxAwesomePlayzxX

Tapu Fini @ Leftovers
Ability: Misty Surge
EVs: 248 HP / 16 Def / 52 SpD / 192 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nature's Madness
- Scald
- Taunt
- Defog
Pretty similar to the one being used for the analysis that's being written, but I like to run 16 Def as it ensures Fini never dies to a +2 Acrobatics from Hawlucha after switching into rocks from full and then getting the Leftovers recovery.

submitted by mellowyellowhd

Slowbro-Mega @ Slowbronite
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 152 Def / 88 SpA / 20 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Fire Blast
- Slack Off
- Toxic
The defense lets you take two Returns from Mega Pinsir at full, 20 SpD lets you take a Draco from Mega Latios after rocks, and 88 SpA guarantees the 2HKO on Medicham, some fatter Hawlucha spreads, and no HP Mega Mawile with Scald.

Submitted by mellowyellowhd

Ditto @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Imposter
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 30 HP / 30 Atk / 30 Def / 30 SpD / 0 Spe
- Transform
It's Ditto... with Hidden Power Ground... Reverse traps Magnezone as Timid OHKOs itself with the move while Hidden Power Fire does around half and risks a speedtie. It's really niche but copypasting the IVs makes things easier.

To start off this thread, I'll share a few spreads I've been using.

Zygarde @ Leftovers
Ability: Aura Break
EVs: 236 HP / 8 Def / 148 SpD / 116 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Thousand Arrows
- Coil
- Glare
- Substitute

mellowyellowhd and I made this EV spread. 8 Defense EVs and 116 Speed EVs allow Zygarde to set Substitute against 279 Speed Gliscor's. Additionally, 8 Defense EVs also avoid getting 2HKOed by Choice Band-boosted Crunch from Tyranitar.

Mawile-Mega @ Mawilite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 180 HP / 164 Atk / 164 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Play Rough
- Sucker Punch
- Knock Off / Thunder Punch

I didn't make this spread myself, I think it was ABR who did.

Tornadus-Therian @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 52 Def / 204 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hurricane
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Defog

I'm pretty sure many people have run this spread. 204 Speed is to U-turn on Choice Scarf Magnezone while maximizing physical bulk, which allows Tornadus-T to take a Choice Band-boosted Knock Off from Kartana after Stealth Rock damage.

Pretty sure goat user Finchinator made this set, and I really like it.

Slowbro-Mega @ Slowbronite
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 152 Def / 88 SpA / 20 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Fire Blast
- Slack Off
- Toxic

I'm gonna follow suit in posting Finch spreads.

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Def / 240 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball

One of my main issues with Ferrothorn is how unreliable of an Ash-Gren check it can prove to be, so I usually like to run this spread to help out with that a bit. The Defense investment guarantees you never die to Gyarados' +1 Supersonic Skystrike from full, then the rest goes into SpDef. You can run 232 SpDef if you want since you still avoid the 3HKO from pre-transformation Ash-Grens Dark Pulse and you take Lando's Earthquakes a little better, but I just prefer having a bit more SpDef personally.

Alakazam-Mega @ Alakazite
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 32 Def / 224 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Recover

On Hawlucha weak teams, this can be a pretty nice benchmark to hit - it lets you take an unboosted Acrobatics from Hawlucha at full HP.

Tapu Koko @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Electric Surge
EVs: 36 HP / 252 Atk / 220 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Wild Charge
- Thunder Punch
- Brave Bird
- U-turn

Courtesy of ABR - the Speed is for +2 Adamant Zygarde, filler EVs go into HP - helps you take a +2 HJK from Hawlucha if you've been chipped a little.

Tapu Koko @ Electrium Z
Ability: Electric Surge
EVs: 20 HP / 236 SpA / 20 SpD / 232 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Defog
- Roost
- U-turn

232 Speed + Timid means you outspeed Adamant Dragonite at +1, it works on other sets too this is just the main Koko set atm. I would only really use this on ladder / if you're very paranoid of random Dragonite HO teams, since the mon isn't very common or good, but it's only 16 EVs more than the usual spread, so you're not missing out on much even if you don't face a Dragonite.

droppin' some fire spreads here just in case:

**note: assume sr unless I say so otherwise (nosr)**

Tyranitar @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 248 HP / 184 Atk / 68 Def / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature

  • 248 hp & 8 spD lets m-tar to survive timid lele focus blast
  • 68 def let it survive kart sacred sword from full
  • 184 atk hits a jmp point

Zygarde @ Dragonium Z
Ability: Aura Break
EVs: 24 HP / 252 Atk / 52 SpD / 180 Spe
Adamant Nature

  • modified spread from a set robopoke posted
  • max atk. always.
  • 180 spd to outspeed lop at +1
  • 24 hp + 52 spD to survive the lele moonblast (nosr)
  • more hp is better for overall bulk. 16 hps let it to survive opposing zyg outrage from full, which is cute =w=

Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Swarm
EVs: 248 HP / 168 Atk / 56 Def / 36 SpD
Adamant Nature

  • 248 hp & 56 def lets it tank 2 cb zyg 1kArrows from full (nosr)
  • 36 spD to live one hp fire from scarf lele/zone
  • rest in atks :)

Enjoy spreading like butter~

This is C rank btw
set shamelessly stolen from huhst's RMT and the UU analysis
View attachment 146461
Moltres @ Flyinium Z
Ability: Pressure / Flame Body
EVs: 104 HP / 252 SpA / 152 Spe
Modest Nature
- Hurricane
- Fire Blast
- Roost
- U-turn / Defog / Agility

This is a really interesting set created in huhst's RMT that has worked pretty well for me. The Speed investment allows Moltres to outspeed 252 Speed Modest Heatran and stuff like 252 Speed Mega Heracross and 252+ Speed Magearna. Maximum damage output is preferred hence the max Special Attack and the rest is put into bulk. U-turn allows Moltres to gain momentum while not allowing stuff like Tyranitar or Mega Diancie to come in freely. Alternatively, Defog prevents Heatran from getting rocks up against Moltres and helps against annoying stuff like Ferrothorn and TSpikes Toxapex while Agility allows Moltres to become a threatening late game sweeper. Pressure is useful for PP stalling, especially against Heatran. Flame Body is an option to help against Mega Mawile, Kartana, and U-turn.
This thread is for spreads, not creative sets. So please stick to the standard sets. This goes for anyone.

@ Toxic Orb

SD | Facade | EQ | Roost

180 HP | 76 Atk | 252 Spe Jolly

A more offensive take, meant for those who don't mind staying in on Medi with their Zard. 180 HP is a Poison Heal benchmark which isn't OHKOd by Scarf Lele, and 76 Atk OHKOs at +2. If even one Lele (not Scarf) runs Modest, you have slight advantage. Chip Kyub and it's the same story.

At +2
74.2% to 2HKO MG Clef
87.5% to OHKO Medi (Adamant)
1v1s Impish AV Bulu, 2HKOs max HP (89.1%)
1v1s Impish and Adamant SD Zor (when they switch into SD)

Takes
2x Scarf Kart Leaf Blade
2x Pivot Torn Hurricane (95.7%)
2x Scarf Zone Flash Cannon (88.3%)
Koko's Z-Gleam, HP Ice (not Spex)
Zap's HP Ice
Modest Zam's Psychic
2x Band Zygarde Arrows (80.9%)
2x Orb Exca Iron Head
2x Lopunny Return
2x Mega Hera Rock Blast (98%)
Chomp's Z-Outrage, 2x Outrage (96.7%)
Scarf Blace Fire Blast, Spex Shadow Ball
Band Tini V-Create (62.5%)

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 HP / 100 Def / 156 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Stomping Tantrum / Roar
- Toxic
- Flamethrower

This set is usually known as TankChomp. I didnt make it but ive been using it a lot lately. It has very good bulk and checks stuff like msciz, lucha, tran, and soft checks mons like kart. It fits great on more offensive teams that need that role compression. Id suggest roar over toxic if your team is really weak to lucha but otherwise toxic is better to catch stuff like bulu, hippo, mslowbro ect.

I'll post more spreads in here some time but for the time being, I just wanted to post that one:

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 132 HP / 128 SpD / 248 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Lava Plume
- Earth Power
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock

I believe ABR is the one who made this spread. It deviates from the classic spdef tran spread into a more speedy one, which is pretty useful because the speed means that you're outspeeding max speed Magearna so you can taunt it before it starts setting up, and also opposing spdef Heatrans. This set also allows you to win 1v1 against most variants of Heatran as other spdef variants are outsped, max speed timid doesn't OHKO with Earth Power and gets OHKOed back, and it comes down to a speed tie (if 248 speed) + roll against Modest Tran.

tornadus-therian.gif

Tornadus-Therian (M) @ Fightinium Z / Flyinium Z
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 144 Def / 160 SpA / 204 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hurricane
- Focus Blast
- Defog
- Heat Wave

A hybrid spread, AKA more offensive Zapdos. Rather than investing in HP, this set tanks -after Rocks- +2 Pinsir's QA and Impish Zor's BP, Lucha's Edge (93.8%), and -before Rocks- Pert's Waterfall in Rain and Lop's Fake Out into Return. Like the standard Pivot, it then OHKOs each (bar Pert's fat ass) in return, still maintaining Speed over Scarf Zone.

70% is the least accurate move consistently used in the tier, so compiled below are the matchups ~70% or greater in 160 SpA Torn's favor (including chance to crit in 68.8%).

Fightinium
OHKOs Naive Kyub, 68.8% to OHKO Hasty
OHKOs uninvested Tran, Magnezone
OHKOs Mega Rocks Tar, Exca, takes Orb Rock Slide
OHKOs Gren (even without Z), takes Spex Hydro
KOs most Spdef Tran after first Blast (on the switch)

Flyinium
OHKOs Mega Zam (68.8%), takes Modest Psychic
OHKOs Zard X (75%), takes Blitz (87.5%)
OHKOs 80 HP Scarf Lando (93.8%), takes 252 Atk Edge
OHKOs Blace, takes Scarf Fire Blast

2x Heat Wave
KO max max Ferro
KO SG Mage
KO Mega Maw

Mod Edit: Please follow the correct set format next time.

here are some real spreads (by me) cuz I felt like sharing:
(wanted to do 3 but didn't got time)

Zygarde @ Iapapa Berry
Ability: Aura Break
EVs: 128 HP / 216 Atk / 52 SpD / 112 Spe
Adamant Nature

  • realized I didn't have a bulky gard spread so had to make one myself :v

  • 32 is for the 2hko on 0/0 landot

I'm pretty sure this is talas pex set it does everything regular pex does but it is very good for a team weak to mons like mmedi mlatis lele zam etc. This spreads lives a psychic attack from all of those and eats a hjk into zen headbutt from mmedi and toxics back so your team can wear it down easier

Alternative magearna set a mix of set up and defensive utility. Fatter builds appreciate this mon it checks hoopa reuni mmaw and lele zam decently. This also provides a decent dark resist which is nice.

52 spdef also chews modest steelz tran after rocks (252+ SpA Heatran Corkscrew Crash (160 BP) vs. 0 HP / 52 SpD Zygarde: 283-334 (79.2 - 93.5%))

and to add smth more to this instead of just that:

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 248 HP / 132 Def / 48 SpD / 80 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stomping Tantrum

252+ SpA Heatran Corkscrew Crash (160 BP) vs. 248 HP / 48 SpD Garchomp: 310-366 (73.9 - 87.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after 1 layer of Spikes (which is 2 rounds of rocks, I'm a paranoid man)
and speed for hoopa and the boys, so you also obviously nab tran and like zygardes creeping that area, this is the tankchomp that i use if i do use it, though granted Z heatran seems to appear a lot less frequently nowadays

also if someone really wants to use wp zygarde here's a spread

+1 0 SpA Clefable Moonblast vs. 48 HP / 48 SpD Zygarde: 290-344 (78.5 - 93.2%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO after 1 layer of Spikes

i wanna say talah made this for me but i dont remember, this is not that great anyway but kinda awesome if you face one of the calcs above

that's good to know, the more the merrier!

and yeah, my spreads are goat : )

The standard set for Lopunny, found at https://www.smogon.com/dex/sm/pokemon/lopunny/ indicates that lopunny will run strictly contact moves, which leads me to my question: why are you bothering with sp atk evs to OHKO something that is going to be at less than 100% if it ever hits you? o_o

that is indeed a principle to live by! (I also know of it as Occam's Razor)

why are you bothering with sp atk evs to OHKO something that is going to be at less than 100% if it ever hits you? o_o

to answer your question:
whenever I do non-simple 'custom' spreads, I always try to 'ev with a purpose' - to ensure that no effort value is wasted. (this is also the reason why I can't use other people's spreads as I cannot use what I don't understand.)

the first conclusion I came up with was the natural (and most simple) 248 HP / 44 Def / 216 Spe -- 216 speed, max hp and dump the rest into def.

but then you realize that this is garbage and dies to medic ice punch... RH torn-t should be able to live some physical hits right??

so the 1st benchmark I tried to hit was to be able to survive medi's ice punch: 208 HP / 84 Def / 216 Spe

this is also fine (and probably where I should have stopped tbf). but I 'realized' that you could save some evs by investing into def heavily, while still hitting the same benchmark - ofc, the tradeoff is not being able to tank special hits as well. but I reckoned it was okay since we are RH torn, not AV torn... so that left me with 40 evs and what to do with them? 'that' is my final conclusion.

in my defense:
1. knock off is p common, so it's not beyond the realm of possibility for torn to get knocked off beforehand.

2. who tf calcs RH dmg wth?? I blame the dmg calc for not including it omg

3. that is why we go a step further, and input 32 evs to '2hko' landot bop. (gg no re)

Ditto @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Imposter
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 30 HP / 30 Atk / 30 Def / 30 SpD / 0 Spe
- Transform

It's Ditto... with Hidden Power Ground... Reverse traps Magnezone as Timid OHKOs itself with the move while Hidden Power Fire does around half and risks a speedtie. It's really niche but copypasting the IVs makes things easier.

252+ SpA Heatran Corkscrew Crash (160 BP) vs. 148 HP / 248 SpD Gliscor: 273-322 (83.2 - 98.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Poison Heal

Diancie-Mega @ Diancite
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 88 HP / 168 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Diamond Storm
- Moonblast
- Stealth Rock / Earth Power
- Protect

Diancie has solid defenses, but rather low bulk as it turns out due to its poor HP stat. Investing even just a little in HP can really help it out. This spread guarantees that you live any hit from Volcarona after rocks, so you can reliably revenge kill it:
  • +1 252+ SpA Volcarona Giga Drain vs. 88 HP / 0 SpD Diancie: 194-230 (73.7 - 87.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
  • +1 252+ SpA Volcarona Giga Drain vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Diancie: 194-230 (80.4 - 95.4%) -- 50% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
It lets you live a Solar Beam from Timid Charizard Y:
  • 252 SpA Charizard-Mega-Y Solar Beam vs. 88 HP / 0 SpD Diancie: 214-254 (81.3 - 96.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
  • 252 SpA Charizard-Mega-Y Solar Beam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Diancie: 214-254 (88.7 - 105.3%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO
It also has a significantly higher chance to live certain attacks post-Mega Evolution, such as
  • 252+ SpA Heatran Earth Power vs. 88 HP / 0 SpD Diancie-Mega: 200-236 (76 - 89.7%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
  • 252+ SpA Heatran Earth Power vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Diancie-Mega: 200-236 (82.9 - 97.9%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

  • 252 Atk Lopunny-Mega High Jump Kick vs. 88 HP / 0- Def Diancie-Mega: 226-267 (85.9 - 101.5%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO
  • 252 Atk Lopunny-Mega High Jump Kick vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Diancie-Mega: 226-267 (93.7 - 110.7%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO

  • +1 252 SpA Blacephalon Shadow Ball vs. 88 HP / 0 SpD Diancie-Mega: 202-238 (76.8 - 90.4%) -- 25% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
  • +1 252 SpA Blacephalon Shadow Ball vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Diancie-Mega: 202-238 (83.8 - 98.7%) -- 75% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

  • 252 SpA Ribombee Moonblast vs. 88 HP / 0 SpD Diancie-Mega: 117-138 (44.4 - 52.4%) -- 17.6% chance to 2HKO
  • 252 SpA Ribombee Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Diancie-Mega: 117-138 (48.5 - 57.2%) -- 91.4% chance to 2HKO
and probably other stuff I haven't discovered.

I've finally updated the archive!

I'd also like to take this opportunity to post some spreads that I like.

Tornadus-Therian @ Flyinium Z / Fightinium Z
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 88 HP / 160 SpA / 8 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature

88 HP EVs in tandem with 8 SpD EVs allow Tornadus-T to live an Ice Beam from Protean Greninja from full.

Hydreigon @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 48 HP / 184 SpA / 88 SpD / 188 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dark Pulse
- Earth Power
- Taunt
- Roost

Have been experimenting with Hydreigon as an Ash-Greninja check, but was disappointed due to it being a total momentum drain. Since it lacks passive recovery and Hydro Pump 3HKOs, it's constantly forced to Roost in order to continue to check Greninja and prevent Ash. Your opponent gets a free switchin to Magearna/Mawile/etc. on the Roost and wreaks havoc on your team.

This is a bulky Hydreigon set that alleviates this issue by providing passive recovery through Leftovers. It has enough speed EVs for Heatran, some HP EVs to maximize Leftovers recovery and some in spdef which helps it check threats it's supposed to better.

  • 252+ SpA Heatran Corkscrew Crash (160 BP) vs. 48 HP / 88 SpD Hydreigon: 285-336 (84.5 - 99.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
  • 252 SpA Choice Specs Greninja Hydro Pump vs. 48 HP / 88 SpD Hydreigon: 114-134 (33.8 - 39.7%) -- 23.5% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
  • 252 SpA Choice Specs Greninja Dark Pulse vs. 48 HP / 88 SpD Hydreigon: 83-98 (24.6 - 29%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery
  • 252 SpA Choice Specs Greninja-Ash Hydro Pump vs. 48 HP / 88 SpD Hydreigon: 150-177 (44.5 - 52.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
  • 252 SpA Choice Specs Greninja-Ash Dark Pulse vs. 48 HP / 88 SpD Hydreigon: 110-129 (32.6 - 38.2%) -- 2.1% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
  • 252 Atk Kartana Sacred Sword vs. 48 HP / 0 Def Hydreigon: 276-326 (81.8 - 96.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
  • 252+ SpA Tapu Lele Focus Blast vs. 48 HP / 88 SpD Hydreigon: 284-336 (84.2 - 99.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
    • Useful if you have a Steel-type on your team and they decide to FB instead of Moonblast as a midground
  • 252 SpA Choice Specs Blacephalon Fire Blast vs. 48 HP / 88 SpD Hydreigon: 149-176 (44.2 - 52.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
  • Very likely to live 2 Shadow Balls from Specs Blacephalon after rocks, if the 1st got a Special Defense drop
  • Very likely to live +1 Never-Ending Nightmare into +1 Flamethrower from speed-boosting Blacephalon after rocks. (Dark Pulse does not OHKO Blacephalon at +1 spdef)

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 168 Def / 92 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

This set's EV spread aims at outspeeding Jolly Crawdaunt and 176 Speed Bulu, while still remaining fairly bulky on the physical side. Yes, you cannot really touch Bulu much, but being able to Volt Switch away gives more momentum than just switching away (specially after burning it on switchin).

Heracross-Mega @ Heracronite
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 80 HP / 120 Def / 112 SpD / 194 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Substitute
- Close Combat
- Rock Blast

This set aims at setting up against either passibe foes or Ground types thanks to it's higher bulk, while also being able to outspeed Modest Heatran pre-mega and Jolly Crawdaunt post-mega. It's Substitute survives uninvested Bulu's Horn Leech, anything coming from Tangrowth, and sometimes Hydreigon's Flash Cannon, while also avoiding the 1HKO from Adamant Crawdaunt's Crabhammer boosted by Choice Band, letting you retaliate with Close Combat (even uninvested, Close Combat is able to 1HKO offensive Heatran, while also having a decent % of 1HKO after rocks on Defensive Tran).

Solid stuff, an alternative spread is 252 HP / 176 Def / 80 SpD, if you already have a Heatran answer or see a lot of Timid Max Speed Tran in the meta, since there's really nothing below Heatran that you care that much about outspeeding (Rotom-W runs a decent amount of speed now). The extra bulk is nice, and there are some neat things it does let you do, in exchange for not threatening Modest Tran pre-Mega.

This spread (compared to the posted one) allows you to always live Ash-Greninja's Hydro Pump after SR and dodge the 2HKO at full from Water Shuriken, dodge the KO from SR Dragonium Garchomp's EQ into Devastating Drake (or the 2HKO from Outrage), live Suicide Lead Lando-T's Quake+Boom, eat AV Magearna's Fleur Cannon (~94% of the time), live Timid Mega Zam's Psychic 60% of the time, avoid the OHKO from Tapu Koko's Gigavolt Havoc (and the 2HKO from 252 SpA Thunderbolt), avoid the OHKO from non-Specs Lele's Psyshock, force offensive Volcarona to win the roll (Fire Blast has a ~44% chance to OHKO from full), and never has its Sub broken by SD Mega Scizor's unboosted Bullet Punch.

One spread is not inherently better than the other, but it's about what fits the team better.
