Congratulations to Jeffis for winning round 10!

This week is going to be a brief hiatus since I just moved into a new house, as well as for the fact that school starts for me tomorrow, so it’s a very busy week, and I don’t want to put things out a day late and have the week be shorter. That being said, I am taking recommendations for next week, so be sure to shoot me a message if you have a Pokémon you want to build around!

See you all next week :toast:!

Round 11: Vanilluxe
vanilluxe.gif

So I chose Vanilluxe just because I legitimately think that this Pokemon is broken, it's just actually fairly uncommon on the ladder which really surprises me. There's not only a Choice Specs set, there's also a Taunt Icicle Plate set, as well as a Choice Scarf set, so it will be interesting to see what kind of teams you guys can come up with.
Deadline is (9 / 7 / 18)
Have fun :toast:!

so this team is build around plate ice cream. So let's talk a bit more about the team.
First of all plate taunt ice cream which imo is incredible and it's so good not only bcz he can fire off stab moves with a lot of power but also you don't need to choice lock yourself to do that, then we have weezing that helps not only for being an awesome fighting resist, but also add t spikes abd that will make vanilluxe job easier when dealing with it usuals switch ins. AV bro the classic nothing to be said about this, then fightinium accelgor for not choice lock yourself into a move but also have that Z move to bop his common switch ins, then we have alolash, that gives you some kind of hazard control and it uses hail so it can help vs things like xatu etc, and to finish with our rocks setter tort, for me this mon is so good rb it can a lot of things, but also hit back with a ridiculous strong stabs moves.

The idea of this team is broken specs Ice Cream + SD Fightinium Z Decidueye to beat its checks (Incineroar, Steelvally, Miltank)

Colbur Xatu gives me a Fighting resist, a way to stop rocks and U-turn to bring in Ice Cream.

Blastoise is a nice tank and a super reliable spinner thanks to refresh and the ability to switch into and pressure out Diancie, Steelix and Rhydon.

Miltank is my own Ice Cream answer and also the Sneasel check, along with being a rocker. Thunder Wave helps against Incineroar, Magmortar etc. and just makes Miltank hard to kill.

Scarf Passimian is still the best speed control and brings in Ice Cream and Decidueye.

Gonna post a team that peaked #1 one week ago. Already posted it in the bazar, but I think there shouldn't be problems since it's mine oo

Explanation
I started building around Bouffalant because it's a really good wallbreaker right now. Lemme briefly explain its utility. Bouffalant is a pure normal type, which means he naturally resists ghost moves. In addition, its ability Sap Sipper, allows him to switchin on grass mons as well. This means he can easily switchin on most Decidueye and Dhelmise moves. In addition to this, the evolved Tauros is packing Pursuit, allowing to kill Decidueye and hardly hit the anchor. EQ allows him to hit Rhydon, Steelix, Steelvally and KKlang who are somehow supposed to switchin on its STAB. Last move I picked is Megahorn, if you want to obliterate Slowbro but actually could be replaced, if you find something better than this (even toxic in order to instatus Palossand could work, but I still prefer Megahorn). Pursuit will also get rid of Cryogonals, switching on Vanilluxe or coming in to spin. Since palossand an rocks are in general the main answer to Tauros I added the Ice Cream. They have a supergood offensive sinergy, but they kinda suck on a defensive side. That's why I added Hariyama, taking care of both Ice Creams and Incineroar. Steelix was added as a rocker and as a ground-type mon, which means you can switchin on locked electric type mons. Since they won't ever leave Incineroar on Hari, I placed a cool lure in the squad: fightium sd decidueye. This will get rid of Incineroar in no time, and will let your ice cream do what ice cream does. Last, but not least, ScarfTom as both defogger and scarf user, since the team was kinda slow.

A team built around the core Taunt+Toxic Vanilluxe and SD Decidueye.

Vanilluxe: Dual STAB + Taunt and Toxic to break stall and lure his checks, like Incineroar, Cryogonal and Articuno.

Decidueye: Swords Dance set with dual stab + Sucker Punch, signature Zmove because is more spammable and sucker to hit fast ghost resists like Heliolisk, and chosen over low sweep and Zfight because Vani already lures the main threats that Fighting move hits.

Steelix: The rocker and defensive answer to things like Braviary, Klinklang and Fairy types on general, curse to check better the first and second.

Slowbro: AV bro because is a S rank set with offensive and defensive utility, signal beam to hit Guzzlord and lure do Decidueye, also hits Malamar.

Comfey: An offensive defogger and Fighting check with crucial prioritys to hit fast things like Passimian and Accelgor.

Passimian: Best scarfer on the tier, rock slide to hit Flying types, also an Incineroar check.
