Blastoise-Mega @ Blastoisinite
Ability: Rain Dish
EVs: 104 HP / 252 SpA / 152 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Water Pulse
- Dark Pulse
- Aura Sphere
- Ice Beam

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SpD
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Slack Off
- Stealth Rock
- Whirlwind

Mega blastoise is a fantastic breaker, but two pokemon it has a lot of trouble with are sylveon and florges. Thanks to a combination of sand stream and whirlwind, hippowdon is able to negate (or heavily reduce) the healing from these two due to their reliance on wish / synthesis, by whirlwinding and the reduction of recovery of synthesis by sandstorm, and cancelling out their leftovers with sand too, allowing blastoise to break these teams much easier. Hippowdon also offers an electric immunity vs pokemon such as manectric, which blastoise is weak to, while giving hazards. Blastoise can also serve as a form of hazard control for the core with rapid spin if it chooses to give up one of its moves.

(Offensive Core)

Blastoise-Mega @ Blastoisinite
Ability: Rain Dish
EVs: 104 HP / 252 SpA / 152 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Water Pulse
- Dark Pulse
- Aura Sphere
- Ice Beam

Nihilego @ Expert Belt / Life Orb / Electrium Z
Ability: Beast Boost
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 80 Def / 176 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Pain Split
- Sludge Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Grass Knot

Mega blastoise is a strong breaker, but struggles to break pokemon such as blissey, sylveon and florges. Nihilego is able to swap into the bulky fairies that deal with blastoise, and threaten them with strong stab sludge waves, while having the coverage to hurt a lot of pokemon. Blastoise in turn is able to help deal with the bulky steel types and gligar that nihilego cannot break through. Pain split on nihilego allows it to also heavily pressure pokemon such as blissey that blastoise struggles to deal with, being able to heavily damage it while fully healing against blissey. This combination of aura sphere on blastoise and pain split on nihilego allow the pair to heavily pressure stall teams with their strong coverage moves, and ability to deal with blissey between forcing it to waste pp healinga gainst aura sphere, and healing against it with nihilego. Nihilego can also hurt the grass types that threaten blastoise, such as celebi, tsareena and amoongus, but either needs to watch out for swapping in on a z-psychic, needs a safe switch against tsareena or a good prediction, and needs to make sure something is already spored vs amoongus.

Item choice is dependent on needs. Life orb allows you to secure certain ohkos such as against common revenge killers in krookodile and aerodactyl after rocks, which 176 SpA allows you to outspeed after a kill due to a speed boost from beast boost. Expert belt offers an increased damage on supereffective attacks without incurring recoil damage, taking advantage of the good coverage on the set, but is weaker than life orb. Electrium-Z is another option which gives you a strong attack against steel types, but lowers the damage otherwise and takes up the z crystal slot. Black sludge can also be run, in which case this is more of a balance core.

(Offensive Core)
Mimikyu @ Ghostium Z
Ability: Disguise
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Sneak
- Shadow Claw
- Play Rough

Froslass @ Focus Sash
Ability: Cursed Body
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Spikes
- Taunt
- Icy Wind
- Destiny Bond

Krookodile @ Iapapa Berry
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 16 HP / 232 Atk / 8 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- Earthquake

The new addition to the tier in mimikyu. Mimikyu fits nicely on spikes stacking teams due to its weak power, and ability to act as a secondary spin block. Standard froslass + krookodile spikes core, able to set up spikes/stealth rocks while preventing opposing hazards. Destiny bond allows froslass to potentially take down a pokemon with it, while icy wind allows it to slow faster targets such as scarf hydreigon that lead against it. Iapapa berry on krookodile gives it some extra recovery, allowing it to make more use of its offensive typing and ability. Mimikyu offers a secondary spinblocker to the core, able to 1v1 spinners such as starmie, tentacruel and blastoise if its disguise was up on the swap in. The spikes also aid in its ability to sweep, due to its middling 90 base attack.

(Balance Core)
Hippowdon @ Smooth Rock
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SpD
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Slack Off
- Stealth Rock
- Whirlwind

Stoutland @ Choice Band
Ability: Sand Rush
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Crunch
- Facade
- Return
- Superpower

Aerodactyl-Mega @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Unnerve
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Pursuit
- Stone Edge
- Roost

Stoutland is a cool mon thanks to its access to sand rush, allowing banded sets to hit 525 attack and 518 speed under sandstorm, outspeeding anything that isn't called scarf infernape/latias. Hippowdon is a natural partner for it, setting up sandstorms and putting hazards up. Mega-Aerodactyl pairs well with these two pokemon, as it recieves a SpDef boost under sandstorm, and can pursuit trap the ghost types that prevent stoutland from spamming it's STABs.

(Balance Core)
Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SpD
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Slack Off
- Stealth Rock
- Whirlwind

Altaria-Mega @ Altarianite
Ability: Pixilate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 72 HP / 252 Atk / 184 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Facade
- Fire Blast
- Roost

Slowbro @ Icium Z
Ability: Regenerator
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Ice Beam
- Scald
- Slack Off

Hippowdon and Slowbro have natural synergy, as slowbro is able to patch up hippowdons matchup vs pokemon such as mamoswine and terrakion. Icium-Z Slowbro is a cool lure set, that is able to lure and kill pokemon such as hydreigon and celebi which would normally deal with slowbro, while also having a nuke that can kill a chipped latias, and kill a boosted altaria, as well as nuking Amoonguss, along with speed eve to creep it. This set however has issues with all suicune sets due to dropping psyshock, (and can't deal with vincune anyway even with it), which facade altaria is capable of helping with. Facade altaria helps patch up the matchup vs pokemon such as suicune and crawdaunt, which are invited in on hippowdon and slowbro, while also being able to help vs pokemon such as hydreigon and latias. Fire blast also helps to lure in and kill scizor. It also offers an extra win con, and a stallbreaker for the core.

(Offensive Core)
Infernape @ Fightinium Z
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fire Blast
- Focus Blast
- Nasty Plot
- Vacuum Wave

Bisharp @ Assault Vest
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 HP / 236 Atk / 24 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Pursuit
- Knock Off
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch

Simple set up + Pursuit trap core. NP infernape is a threatening pokemon, but has a lot of problems with Latias and starmie, which are both faster than it, resist its STABs and can revenge it. AV bisharp helps with this problem, as one of the best pursuit trappers in the metagame at the moment, which is much less threatened by latias than aerodactyl / krookodile which have to watch out for electrium / dragonium a lot more., and has a better matchup vs starmie due to not being weak to it's stabs, and being immune to one of them.

EV spread on Bisharp is quite customisable depends on what you want it to do for the team. Due to altaria's typically running 56 speed on support sets for crawdaunt, outspeding uninvested is rarely useful. 60 Speed EVs can allow you to outspeed banded sciz with 96 speed evs.

(Offensive Core)
Blastoise-Mega @ Blastoisinite
Ability: Torrent
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 104 HP / 252 SpA / 152 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Aura Sphere
- Dark Pulse
- Ice Beam
- Water Spout

Latias @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Healing Wish
- Psychic
- Trick

Nidoqueen @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 128 HP / 252 SpA / 128 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Earth Power
- Ice Beam
- Sludge Wave
- Stealth Rock

Water spout on blastoise is a cool option for a powerful STAB attack reaching up to 150 BP, making up for its meager other options in Water pulse at 90BP and Hydro pump at 120 BP with its bad accuracy and low PP, allowing it to hit nearly as hard as a specs primarina's hydro pump. Scarf healing wish latias allows Blastoise to have a second opportunity to use full power water spouts again, allowing it to not care so much about being chipped in order to claim kills, while also offering the ability to trick a pokemon such as blissey, and offering speed control. Offensive rocks nidoqueen offers the core an electric immunity and rocks, while being able to pressure the bulky fairies that blastoise struggles to break through if given a free swap, or coming in on a non water spout attack.

(Balance Core)
Aggron-Mega @ Aggronite
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Heavy Slam
- Curse
- Rest
- Sleep Talk / Block

Florges (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flower Veil
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Defog / Hidden Power [Fire]
- Aromatherapy
- Moonblast
- Synthesis

Palossand @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Water Compaction
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 164 Def / 92 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Earth Power
- Toxic
- Stealth Rock
- Shore Up

A different take on traditional aggron + fairy cores, making use of palo's ability to check both terrakion and manectric at the same time. Rest talk aggron allows florges to drop wish in favour of a different fourth utility move, such as defog for hazard control, or HP fire for scizor. Palossand offers the core an electric immunity which can take on manectric, and a solid terrakion answer, both of which heavily pressure these aggron + florges cores, as well as taking rocks for aggron. Block on aggron is an option over sleep talk to allow it to trap certain pokemon and set up on them, as well as pressuring stall with the PP wasted through sleep turns.

Stakataka @ Choice Band
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Gyro Ball
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Superpower

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Slack Off
- Toxic / Whirlwind
CB Stakataka is a powerful breaker held by by its middling special bulk and atrocious speed. Hippowdon provides Sandstorm support for Stakataka, giving it a 1.5x SpD boost allowing it to easily tank powerful neutral special hits like Moltres' Fire Blast, Hydreigon's Dark Pulse or Latias' Gigavolt Havoc, giving it many more opportunities to switch in and cause havoc. Hippowdon also invites a lot of Flying-type pokémon like Togekiss, Latias, Hydreigon or Moltres that Stakataka can take advantage of.

Moltres @ Flyinium Z
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flamethrower
- Hurricane
- Roost
- Defog

Tsareena @ Lum Berry
Ability: Queenly Majesty
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Power Whip
- Rapid Spin
- Knock Off
- U-turn / High Jump Kick
Straightforward wallbreaking core that also brings solid hazard removal, Moltres is a powerful special breaker weak to Stealth Rock that struggles with Rock-types. Tsareena can spin entry hazards away from bulky setters like Hippowdon, Swampert, Seismitoad, Diancie, Rhyperior, Empoleon or Gligar. Tsareena is also able to pressure fat special walls like Sylveon, Florges or Blissey as well as bulky Rock-types like Diancie or Rhyperior with its powerful Power Whip, and can use Knock Off to get rid of recovery items on Empoleon and Rotom, giving Moltres an easier time breaking. On top of that, Tsareena can also provide U-Turn support to bring Moltres in, and an Aqua Jet immunity to help against Crawdaunt trying to revenge kill Moltres. On the other hand, Moltres is able to pressure Bug-,Grass-, Fire- and Steel-types that Tsareena can't break through, and use Defog to remove hazards set up by pokémon Tsareena can't deal with like Aggron-Mega, Steelix-Mega, Cobalion or Araquanid.

Nihilego @ Life Orb
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 80 Def / 176 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Pain Split
- Sludge Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Grass Knot

Latias @ Electrium Z
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunder
- Calm Mind
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
Speed-boosting Nihilego is a potent cleaner but has a hard time breaking through bulky Ground-types like Gligar, Hippowdon or Nidoqueen and Steel-types like Doublade, Scizor, Aggron-Mega or Bisharp. Latias can set up on most Ground-types, and lures the Steel-types (except Steelix-Mega) with Gigavolt Havoc, giving Nihilego an easier time cleaning lategame.Nihilego can also act as a secondary special sponge so Latias doesn't have to take unnecessary damage against foes such as Nasty Plot Infernape or Moltres, and switch into Fairy-types like Sylveon or Florges that Latias can't break. Pain Split is chosen in the last slot on Nihilego to help it pressure Blissey, potentially allowing Latias to break through the pink blob late-game.

Nihilego @ Life Orb / Black Sludge / Electrium Z
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 80 Def / 176 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock / Toxic Spikes
- Sludge Wave
- Grass Knot
- Thunderbolt

Swampert @ Choice Band
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 88 HP / 252 Atk / 168 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Waterfall
- Ice Punch
- Toxic

Nihilego draws in bulky Ground- and Steel-types, giving Swampert easy opportunities to come in and dish out damage. Nihilego also provides either Stealth Rock or Toxic Spikes support to help Swampert break teams, can pressure Grass-types with Sludge Wave (although it rarely wants to directly switch into them), and can pressure physically defensive Water-types that wall Swampert (like Alomomola or Slowbro) with Thunderbolt and Grass Knot. Finally, Nihilego provides a reliable switch-in to Flying-types that may try to switch in whenever Swampert locks itself into Earthquake, or try to revenge kill it.

Ah, you're finally awake
Well seems like a good time to do this - ngl it feel like it's been forever. Was gonna hold off on posting until after the suspect test is over, but I just realised today that we have another week of laddering to go so better to do this now before everything becomes outdated and I forget what my verdicts were. Thanks to Smallsmallrose, Estarossa and Daiyaga for the submissions.
Should probably note that I won't accept any weather related cores until the verdict of the suspect is out.

1. Slowbro + Blissey by Estarossa - Accept. Fat + Fat tends to work nicely. Can't fault it.

2. Mega Beedrill + SD Crawdaunt - Reject. This is quite picky I know, but Mega Beedrill + CB Daunt is vastly superior and is the only option Viv and I will accept.

3. Snorlax + DD Mega Altaria - Accept. Not gonna lie, never heard of this one, but it works since Malt provides you with a Knock off switchin and a fighting resist, which are the 2 main things that Snorlax is scared of, so makes sense.

4. Hippowdon + Mega Blastoise - accept. I think the post explains it well enough.

5. Mega Blastoise + Nihilego - accept. Nice typing synergy here.

6. Mimikyu + Frosslass + Krookodile - accept. Double spin blocker + hazard stacking is powerful. Already played around with this one quite a lot. Would definitely recommend if you're a fan of true Hyper Offense.

7. Hippowdon + Mega Altaria + Icium-Z Slowbro - accept. Seems cool. There looks like there's quite a few lures in the sets - despite them all basically being standard - which is fun to play around with.

8. Nasty Plot infernape + AV Bisharp - accept. I don't think AV is a mandatory component to this core but it works so I'll take it.

9. Spout Blastoise + Nidoqueen + Scarf Lati - Reject. I don't feel like scarf lati is a great scarfer. Works alright in some specific offense teams, and those teams tend not to have Nidoqueen.

10. RestTalk Aggron + Florges + Pallossand - Accept. Pretty sure I see the first two paired together quite a bit. Pallossand is a rarer pick but would recommend giving it a try. Also if you're using this, pay close attention to this part of the importable.
Palossand @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Water Compaction
Shiny: Yes
11. Choice Band Stakataka + Hippowdon by Daiyaga - Accept. Had my doubts on this core as I'd never seen CB Stakataka in practice really. Also was hesitant to accept because +1 attack beast boosts are the only beast boosts, but then Aim and Blunder went undefeated with it in BL Knights so I'll let you have this one

12. Moltres + Tsareena by Daiyaga - accept. Type synergy is nice and Moltres appreciates any sort of hazard removal

13. Speed Boosting Nihilego + Electrium-Z Latias - Nihilego hates Steels, Latias gives you a ground immunity and lures steels. Looks fine to me

14. Nihilego + Choice Band Swampert - Accept. Post explains it well enough. I'll take it.

Back at it again at Kripsy Kreme to submit more cores!

Crawdaunt @ Choice Band
Ability: Adaptability

Beedrill @ Beedrillite
Ability: Swarm
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Poison Jab
- Drill Run
- Knock Off

Pretty much all there is to be said about this core can be summed up here since it's more or less the same concept, just posting it again because Stoward said him and Viv would only accept this core with band.

Bewear @ Choice Band

- Facade

Latias @ Dragonium Z
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Roost

Bewear and latias support eachother both defensively and offensively. Bewear pesters most pursuit trappers like Aero, Scizor, and Bisharp that bother Latias and Latias appreciates it's decent dark matchup in general. Bewear also enjoys bothering Doublade, Aggron, and many other steels that can usually give Latias trouble. In turn, Latias will gladly absorb a lot of fire moves, fighting moves, earthquakes, and general special moves that Bewear can't handle and generally match up decently against the pokemon that throw these kinds of moves out. Latias also breaks a number of physical walls that Bewear can't muscle it's way around too well such as Slowbro.

Bisharp @ Darkinium Z/Dread Plate
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant/Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Knock Off
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch

A core quickly gaining traction and infamy. Spinblocker + Defiant abuser already spells a recipe for many flavors of offense focused on maintaining hazards. They also both provide revenge killing options in a pinch that can bail offenses out of sticks they'd normally need a scarfer for, Both of them having priority, and Mimikyu having disguise. These two also provide for eachother to small degrees. Bisharp being a steel resist can let it catch the occassional steel move aimed for Mimikyu. Mimikyu in return provides an extremely lethal fighting immunity that corrects Bisharp's most detrimental weakness. Their types also tend to pair up decently offensively as well.

Doublade @ Eviolite
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Atk / 16 SpD
Brave/Adamant Nature

- Shadow Claw/Sacred Sword
- Shadow Sneak

Umbreon @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Spe
Calm Nature
- Foul Play
- Heal Bell/Toxic
- Wish
- Protect/Moonlight

Pretty self explanatory, Doublade handles bug moves, fightings, and fairies, all of Umbreon's biggest weaknesses, while Umbreon is more than glad to take on fellow darks and ghosts that cause problems for Doublade. Umbreon also adds an immense special wall that takes on various special attacks that Doublade isn't keen to challenge, such as the attacks of draco spammers that Doublade barely handles on it's own. Umbreon can also act as a cleric, potentially ridding Doublade of a status if it's heal bell or at least passing massive wishes that will heal most of Doublade's health.

The sets for these two can be flexible, moreso for Altaria. Umbreon is able to tank special hits and threaten mons like Scizor from using it to set up with Foul Play. Mega Altaria can deal with the Fighting-types who will gladly switch into Umbreon normally. This core can be weak to the Steel-fighting mons like Lucario so mons like Palossand or Mantine can come in handy.

Beedrill and Rotom-Mow form a neat voltturn core. Rotom-Mow can not only nuke the fat grounds and steels that beedrill struggles against but it can Volt Switch it in against mons like Latias or Hydreigon and let it get off a free U-turn or Tspikes. Coverage/support moves can be mixed up on both obv but yh.

A bit weirder, but stay with me. Porygon2 can be scary when it gains the right download boost but is "limited" with its boltbeam coverage against Rotom-H. Pain Split variants in particular can be a pain. This is where Altaria comes in, with either Facade or Refresh Malt can smack Rotom-H hard. Earthquake can be handy for mons like Nihilego too.

It's a stall core that we have in addition to the tried and true Alo/Quag/Bliss.

First of all, to expound on some of the missing moves:

Blissey can use Wish, Heal Bell, or Stealth Rock in the last slot (and Protect over Soft-boiled if Wish is selected). Basically it's all standard utility stuff and depends on the rest of the team.

Pyukumuku can run a whole slew of moves: Spite, Block, Soak, Toxic, Rest, Counter, and Protect are all viable depending on what you need. Block and Spite are probably two of the strongest choices in general because Block lets you trap opposing stall Pokemon and let you deal with stall breakers like Infernape. Spite is important in general but especially for Substitute Gengar and Chandelure (Spite goes through Substitute). Soak takes away STAB from scary Pokemon like Togekiss and let's Toxic target more Pokemon, Rest helps PP stall and heal, Counter is a funny surprise for some attackers like Sharpedo, Protect helps Pyukumuku get more Leftovers recovery vs important Pokemon like Togekiss.

I like this Doublade set but definitely other ones can be run too - Sacred Swords for example to lure in Bisharp. Toxic helps the opposing stall match up since this is surprisingly hard to wall and you always get free turns in vs opposing Blissey.

Sets explained, what makes this a good core? The main idea is that Pyukumuku walls most special attackers that beat Blissey - NP Togekiss, NP Giga Drain Celebi, NP Infernape, CM Chandelure, CM Reuniclus, Work Up Rest Primarina, NP Lucario, Superpower Volcanion, etc. The other idea is that Doublade covers most of what Quagsire would do in the traditional Alo/Quag/Bliss core - non-Knock Off Scizor, SD Terrakion, SD Cobalion, and DD Alt are among the most important ones.

The reason you need to use SD on Doublade is to beat Roost variants of Scizor, you're otherwise too weak to kill it and it will eventually chip you down (although Pyukumuku does easily wall bulky SD Scizor so SD is more of a reflection of Scizor's power than a true necessity).

Like the Alo/Quag/Bliss core, you still need some type of hazard control. You have one less utility move (no Wish) and no Regenerator (although nothing should stop you from slapping on an Alomomola on this bad boy stall core, adding Quagsire as well probably gives you too many Water Pokemon and you're still lacking hazard control). You lack a Ground type so I've experimented with Nidoqueen, Gligar, Quagsire, and all work, Steelix probably does too but you need to think long and hard versus the Rotom-H match up then.

The main benefit you have over the Alo/Quag/Bliss core is that SpD Pyukumuku with Doublade really put a stop in traditional stall breakers.

It's just a refreshing new take on stall compared to most of you boring ass pussies who simultaneously beg me for teams then flame me out on the ladder even when I don't stall you.

Steelix + Nihilego I have been using a fair amount lately. Nihilego's set can be customized to fit the team but the general idea is that Nihilego can handle Manectric when Steelix can't in addition to the normal typing synergy. Thunderbolt on Nihilego is annoying for bulky waters but of course a Dragon-type like Latias or Hydreigon are really helpful (bonus points for the ground immunities).

- Focus Punch / Fire Punch / Shadow Sneak
With all the talk about Alo and Regenerator, it's time for another core with it. Alomomola's item is rather flexible imo but Rocky Helmet is nice to absorb things like U-turns that Muk can't. Alo eats the physical, Muk eats the special and gets to do it more times throughout a match with the wish support as well.

Cobalion @ Fightinium Z / Rocky Helmet / Shuca Berry
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Krookodile @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off

- Pursuit
- Stone Edge
I've slapped this core onto a fair amount of teams and I'm pretty surprised that it isn't already on here. Cobalion is a Steel-type that doesn't resist Fairy or Psychic which can suck but it still is a great mon with Stealth Rock and a customizable fourth slot. Scarf Krookodile offers a ton of role compression into a team, mainly electric-immunity + speed control. Krookodile's Dark-typing with pursuit can punish Psychic moves. Both can support a team well as a balanced core or with a dedicated set up sweeper set on cobalion to make a formidable offensive one.

Really cool wallbreaking core I’ve been using recently. LO Tailwind Tornadus + Banded Crawdaunt w/ a Krook for Pursuit trapping.

Life Orb Tornadus can get rid of many fighting-type threats to Crawdaunt, like Cobalion, Infernape, or Heracross, and give it speed with Tailwind. With Tailwind, Crawdaunt is a huge threat. Banded Crawdaunt is already pretty threatening to fatter builds, but it doesn’t do well against hyper-offensive teams or more offensive balance teams, but for a few turns, it becomes a speedy sweeper with Tailwind. Now you may look at this core and thing its absolutely terrible, since Manectric or Zeraora, or any electric type for that matter, destroys it. Well, for that, I added a Scarfed Krookodile, to kill them off with Pursuit, or cause mindgames then kill them with an EQ.

Mega Altaria is a consistent fairy and naturally goes well with mew, beating Darks like Hydreigon and Krookodile with ease. Dragon Dance Altaria appreciates how well mew can break fat and cripple mons with Willo for malt to set up on later. Altaria's versaility can come through in running Fire Blast to snipe Scizor too.

Florges + Volc work nicely on BO/balance as Wish support gives Volcanion more opportunites to come in. Volcanion is also helpful for dealing with broken prim which can overwhelm Florges normally. Defog Volcanion spread is mostly preference but I prefer an offensive one to outspeed Mamoswine, Bisharp, etc. and do more damage/be more threatening to get off Defog.
