  • Arceus-Dark is one of the best Arceus formes in National Dex Ubers due to its ability to blanket check many physical attackers. It is far and away the best Ultra Necrozma counter in the tier, one of the most threatening Pokemon to the balance and stall teams Arceus-Dark is frequently found on.
  • Foul Play is the only attacking move Arceus-Dark needs. Its presence alone deters many boosting Pokemon from doing so until Arceus-Dark is sufficiently weakened such as Primal Groudon, Arceus, Ultra Necrozma, and Mega Salamence. It also hits fairly hard even into the pokemon it doesn't target due to the naturally high attack of many Pokemon combined with a scarcity of dark resists in the tier.
  • Arceus-Dark's status move of choice is flexible and should be chosen based on what best supports its teammates. Toxic cripples most of the tier and many of Arceus-Dark's common switch-ins such as Ho-Oh, Xerneas, Yveltal, and Primal Kyogre. However, Will-O-Wisp notably hits Zacian-C which turns Arceus-Dark from setup fodder to enable a sweep into a near-useless Zacian-C. Will-o-Wisp also cripples Marshadow, which would otherwise be a massive threat to break the backbone of the teams Arceus-Dark finds itself on.
  • Taunt is a crucial move in Arceus-Dark's toolkit which significantly contributes to making it a top tier defensive presence. Taunt allows Arceus-Dark to exert a stranglehold over the hazard game against non hyper offense teams as most hazard setters on such teams such as Primal Groudon, Ferrothorn, or Chansey are unable to punish it meaningfully. Taunt additionally denies common switchins from achieving their goals such as Ho-Oh attempting to defog or Zacian-C or Xerneas looking for an opportunity to set up. Taunt also helps Arceus to completely shutdown Zygarde to achieve anything in game.
  • Alternatively, Defog can be used on teams that does not use traditional Defoggers such as Ho-Oh or Girantina-O.
  • Stealth Rocks and Refresh can be used for Move 2 and 3 on stall teams which often struggle to find a move slot for Stealth rocks, Refresh is preferred over taunt and defog as it allows for longevity. Refresh is especially useful against Ho-Oh as it guarantees Stealth Rocks up on the field while also dodging Will-O-Wisp burns.
  • Arceus-Dark's EV spread allows it to outpace the base common 90 speed tier and handle threats such as Primal Groudon. Due to also outpacing Primal-Kyogre, Arceus is able to chip down defensive variants and revenge kill lowered down offensive sets.
  • Tera Poison allows Arceus-Dark to take on its previous threats, that being Marshadow and Zacian-C, though, be aware of tera ground Zacian-C. Deoxys Attack can also be dealt with by Terastralizing and Foul playing immediately as it will Psycho Boost the following turn to take Arceus down.
  • Arceus-Dark struggles against Marshadow and Zacian-C, due to this, defensive Primal Groudon, Ho-Oh, and Zygarde-C make great Teammates.
  • Ditto is also a great offensive teammate for Arceus-Dark as it revenge kills the threats of Arceus-Dark such as Zacian-C, Deoxys Attack, Xerneas, and Bulk Up Marshadow.

Btw there are two additional EV spreads that Bumbo and i believe should be added too, one for outspeeding yveltal, and other for outspeeding timid Ray.

  • Arceus-Dark is one of the best Arceus formes in National Dex Ubers due to its ability to blanket check many physical attackers. It is far and away the best Ultra Necrozma counter in the tier, one of the most threatening pokemon Pokemon to the balance and stall teams Arceus-Dark is frequently found on. I wouldn’t really call it threatening by means, it often doesn’t have a lot of offensive pressure. Arceus-Dark's access to a wide array of utility moves makes switching in a daunting prospect until it has been scouted. Again, it’s not too difficult to switch in on it. Ho-Oh, Xerneas, Yveltal, Eternatus can all switch in on it well enough.
  • Foul Play is the only attacking move Arceus-Dark needs. Its presence alone deters many boosting pokemon Pokemon from doing so until Arceus-Dark is sufficiently weakened such as Primal Groudon, Arceus, Ultra Necrozma, and Mega Salamence. It also hits fairly hard even into the pokemon it doesn't target due to the naturally high attack of many pokemon Pokemon combined with a scarcity of dark resists in the tier.
However, Will-o-Wisp Capatilize the o in willowisp notably hits Zacian-C which turns Arceus-Dark from setup fodder to enable a sweep into a near-useless Zacian-C.
Taunt allows Arceus-Dark to exert a stranglehold over the hazard game against non hyper offence offense teams as most hazard setters on such teams such as Primal Groudon, Ferrothorn, or Chansey These examples are heavily weighted to balance / stall. Try to include some setters from Offense / BO too are unable to punish it meaningfully. Taunt additionally denies common switchins from achieving their goals such as Ho-Oh attempting to defog or Zacian-C or Xerneas looking for an opportunity to set up. Mention taunt stopping Zygarde completely.
  • Alternatively, Defog can be used on teams that does not use traditional Defoggers such as Ho-oh Ho-Oh and the two or Girantina-O forms. Giratina-A is only used on stall teams and isn’t really worth mentioning.
  • Stealth Rocks and Refresh can be used for Move 2 and 3 on stall teams which often struggle to find a move slot for Stealth rocks, refresh Refresh is preferred over taunt and defog as it allows for longevity. Mention refresh being able to guarantee stealth rocks vs hooh and ignore burns at the same time.
  • Arceus-Dark's EV spread allows it to outpace the base common 90 speed tier and handle threats such as Primal Groudon. (Added period) You can also mention how this helps to wear down defensive Primal Kyogre, or revenge kill it after its low.
  • Tera Poison allows Arceus-Dark to take on its previous threats, that being Marshadow and Zacian-C, though, be aware of tera ground Zacian-C. Deoxys-A Attack can also be dealt with by Terastralizing and Foul playing Not sure if “Foul playing” should be used, try to keep it as “Foul Play” for future references immediately as it will Psycho Boost the following turn to take Arceus down.
  • Arceus-Dark struggles against Marshadow and Zacian-C, due to this, defensive Primal Groudon, Ho-oh Ho-Oh, and Zygarde-C make great Teammates.
  • Ditto is also a great offensive teammate for Arceus-Dark as it revenge kills the threats of Arceus-Dark. Give examples

I've been busy these days i didn't actually change anything from original post, its qc 1/2 due to bumbo helping me with edits, but I'm told to remove it now

Updated and Ready for QC #2, did not mention HO and BO hazard setters which taunt helps against as glimmora, deoxys speed are able to freely set rocks or spikes against it.

Amcheck, don't implement until approved by QC. Seems overall pretty good to me, especially with a few targeted additions.

I'm stamping this QC check, apply the following (revised by me, somewhat), also note that bumboclaat's stuff simply doesn't count for a QC, so I've removed that bit of credit.

Do note that as this is rather messy and this being the second QC check, I'd rather wait to see how this is implemented before letting it get QC 2/2 and go to GP stage.

First off, try to use less saturated colors to highlight your notes or changes, it's not good for the eyes and is overall detrimental to the intent, instead try using more soft colors.

When doing quality changes involving changing a letter, remember to preserve the original text but with a removed color mark, like:

Pikachu is my favorite pokemon Pokemon.
Rather than:

Pikachu is my favorite Pokemon.
Sure, the change involves a single letter, but the previous one is being deleted in the process, doing it as the whole word is also often easier to do as a QCer (by not having to add a remark note of that change) and easier to notice for the writer that's receiving the QC, plus it's more self-explanatory feedback for the writer. If in doubt you can always add notes to make small editing changes visible, but it seems you're already familiar with that.

Also remember to try to ask for viable examples whenever a vague and broad claim like "X checks a lot of physically defensive Pokemon in the metagame", "Y is threatened by status spreaders" or "Z appreciates support from entry hazard setters" appears

Oh yeah, as a QCer it's more of a priority that the information provided is accurate and non-vague, then GP second (unless on GP phase, of course), I'm saying this because of a note I've left for you in the second bulletpoint (and a few others, look at what changed), by trying to remove typos sometimes you can also add some, so if you're unsure sometimes it's best to leave it as is or discuss it in the server, not that this is a deal breaker as that matters way more for GP members as said before.

Overall a good check, especially as you catched the stall part and the Ditto to Deoxys-A match-up, keep it up!
