Toedscool distinguishes itself as the most splashable and viable form of hazard removal in the tier. Its access to Rapid Spin, high Special Defense, and beneficial typing against common Stealth Rock users such as Glimmet and Mudbray, as well as the extremely common Hisuian Voltorb, make it not only rich in defensive utility, but also offensively with its 17 speed and access to Knock Off, compromising foes like Foongus who could otherwise switch in safely. Spore can be used to punish Vullaby, another otherwise switch-in, bypassing potential Overcoat with Mycelium Might. Giga Drain completes Toedscool's dual-STAB arsenal while providing sustainability, and Dazzling Gleam, when paired with Tera Fairy, provides a valuable coverage option against common Pokemon like Vullaby and Mienfoo. When not using Dazzling Gleam, Tera Water provides the best defensive utility, countering Shellder being especially useful. A versatile spread with a focus on Speed is used to facilitate Toedscool's supportive role.

Being the only splashable form of hazard removal in the tier, teammates that suffer against Stealth Rock have great synergy with Toedscool, including Vullaby, Hisuian Growlithe and Hisuian Voltorb utilising Tera Fire or Ice, Vullaby also benefitting from Toedscool's ability to counter Glimmet. Similarly, as one of few reliable checks to Hisuian Voltorb, teammates which invite it in such as Mudbray appreciate being supported by a Toedscool. Common switch-ins to Toedscool include Flying-types like Wattrel and Vullaby, as well as Foongus. Teammates that can cover these weaknesses include Glimmet for the former and Gothita for the latter.

  • That first sentence is a monster (it's really long), consider splitting it up
  • You don't mention Earth Power but the Giga Drain sentence makes me think you meant to mention it
  • If Gleam is the last slash on the moveset then Fairy should be the second slash on the Tera, or vice versa. Move one to line it up with the other, probably the Tera.
  • Another kinda long sentence to open the second paragraph could also use some work.
