UU/BL Team (With a touch of RD to it)

Edit: My all tier (Including Uber) Team...with a touch of RD....

What's this? My second RMT over the course of 2 days? What?! Well, UU/BL has always been my favourite tier, I actually use this team, to fight all tiers...
In fact I've won several Uber Matches...And in case your wondering all the shinies are legit...

'HEADPAN'
Ludicolo@DampRock
Modest
Swif Swim
152 HP / 252 SpA / 104 Spe
-RainDance (Self Explanatory-With this he can boost up speed enough to take down most threats)
-Grass Knot (Very useful on Wailord in UU/BL and Groudon and Kyrouge in Uber)
-Surf ( A basic STAB)
-Ice beam (Dragon Death)

A great starter. My favourite for ages, can set up RD to boost kingdra's and his speed, Grass knot to take down heavy Foes and Ice beam and surf for everything else (Except Gyrados where I will switch out to Kingdra)....

'TEMPEST'
Kingdra@Life Orb/Leftovers/Damp Rock
Lonely
Swift Swim
252 Atk / 240 SpA / 16 Spe
-RainDance (Self Explanatory-With this he can boost up speed enough to take down most threats)
-Waterfall (Taking advantage of his Attack Evs)
-Dragon Pulse ( A secondary Dragon Killer)
-HP Electric (Gyrados never switches in on him twice)

My favourite pokemon, and my second Rain Dance user, he has decent Hp so can take a super effective Dragon hit, Rain Dance and Retaliate..Also, getting rarer and Rarer, in the last 50 UU/BL battles he hasn't appeared in any, even the rain dance teams seem to lack this stealthy killer, usually the last man standing...

'XTREME'
Scyther@Life Orb/Leftovers/Choice Scarf/Choice Band
Jolly
Technicain
30 HP / 225 Atk / 255 Spe
-Aerial Ace (This does 90 damage with Technicain plus stab, 135 damage, which makes it an unavoidable, fast attack that does 135 damage)
-Brick Break (Scyther is my Blissey and Clefable Killer)
-Sword Dance ( With this Aerial Ace usual OHK)
-Baton Pass (Helps out Armaldo)

This guy is strong enough to take down scizor, when he needs too. He is also my most reliable Shedninja defense something that I have serious Issues with otherwise, also He provides Blissey Defense something my team can't pass down.

'STREAK'
Flygon@Choice Scarf
Naughty
Levitate
255 Atk/ 255 Spe
-EQ
-Dragon Claw
-Stone Edge
-U-turn

There's not much to say here, apart from explaining why I used claw over Meteor, It's pretty simple. I wanted Flygon to have maxed attack and not waste evs on just one attack...Also I'm more likely to use EQ than any other attack...

237.png

'SPINY'
Hitmontop@Leftovers
Adamant
Technicain
252 HP / 72 Def / 184 Spe
-Close Combat
-Mach Punch
-Rapid Spin
-Aerial Ace

Alright, another favourite of mine....I replaced Armaldo for him for several Reasons..but the main one is this: Blissey Kill....Now I know what you're thinking, Blisseys, In UU/BL?! Well yes....I do battle OU and Uber teams and Have lost a few matches to these effective killers, I try and bring him on after a baton pass from scyther with 1-3 SD.....He can KO with CC then, Another reason I replaced Armaldo was I needed a faster Stealth Rock killer, and I use Aerial Ace over Toxic, because Technicain Boosts it up 90 Damage, well worth it for all the Killing it gets done. Match Punch is for Scarfed Tyranitar (Yes some people really are that stupid)
He also makes up for my complete lack of Weaville Resistance on the team....

'MOOMOO'
Miltank@Leftovers
Impish
Thick Fat
255 HP / 221 Def / 32 Spe
-Fire Punch
-Zen Headbutt
-Heal Bell
-Milk Drink

My defensive and only wall. Takes Ice hits aimed at my Flygon and Fire hits aimed at Scyther like a trooper, It can stall as well, with Heal Bell. Fire Punch and Zen Headbutt aren't Expected, so I can take out the odd Scizor and Forretress with this thing..

One thing, I'm not looking to switch pokemon, only to improve the one's I have as well as strategy, I think this team is pretty original..compared to the other UU/BL teams posted here....

Draco Meteor could be a possible option for Dragon Claw on Flygon. Other than that, good team.

I don't like Ludicolo as a starter, unless its Uubers. If you plan on using this in OU, give it 216 speed EVs to beat scarfchomp and deoxys and move him to a sweeper role.

Your Kingdra set needs work. He needs at least 88 speed EVs to keep Garchomp from pwning you, which means you only get 168 for one of the attacks. If you go the physical route, use Ice Beam > Dragon Pulse, as it does more vs. other dragons and grassers. I would use Mystic Water as the item, to prevent recoil. If you want the life orb, go the special route:

Kingdra @ Life Orb
Nature: Rash
EVs: 168 Attack / 88 Speed / 252 Special Attack
*Surf
*Draco Meteor
*Waterfall
*Rain Dance

Trust me on the success of that set. It's smashes through just about everything.

For Flygon, I recommend Draco Meteor in there somewhere, and 120 special attack EVs. You can also add Fire Blast, because your team isn't very adept at handling steels. Stone-Edge may work fine though.

You do realise this a BL/UU team? Therefore, it wouldn't need to fight Garchump and friends because they are OU.

You do realise this a BL/UU team?

What is BL/UU?

The whole purpose of BL was to take lesser used pokemon that were too powerful for UU, so how exactly does BL/UU make any sort of sense as a concept.

You do realise that the OP called it a UU/BL team? Because that's he/she called it, I'm going to call it that too because it is his/her team.

Unless the title is called BL team of course.

Sorry about the double post. It was an accident. Can a mod please delte this?

Heh, sorry to nitpick. Yeah he's ranked 48th on Weighted and unweighted usage. He barely made the OU grade, but he made it.

I think you should get some more pokes that benefit from the Rain. 2 Damp rocks is overkill. Also remember that Fire attacks are weakened by 50% in the rain, so you may not need to run Thick Fat on Miltank.

While Kingdra and Ludicolo in the rain are more than enough to sweep most teams I can't say that putting Rain dance on 2 pokes when only 2 pokes benefit from it is a good idea.

The thing is with this team, I use UU/BL pokes in it (Kingdra hasn't been made OU on smogon and I hate shoddy-><) But fight in other tiers. The thick fat on miltank was mainly because I wanted fire punch and it's illegal with Scrappy....

I assumed from your introduction that this team was to compete in OU as well, hence the Kingdra suggestions. I don't know how this can be classified as UU/BL, because BL pokemon are too strong for UU.

I have just seen something about that I don't like...If I have RD set up, with ludicolo, then waterfall on Kingdra can 2HK0 a blissy....

Hai KOB.

This looks good, but you might want to make it calm, and pump a few EV's into special attack.

From my brief affair with BL/UU, I've come to realise that it's more of a special-based metagame, save for some threats like granbull and rampardos. I'm not too sure on leads, but something like 152 HP//200 SpA//
104 Spe//52 SpDef and a calm nature could help infinitly with your team, and make him a bulkier setup for kingdra.

Also, you could probabaly drop ice beam. Outside of STAB, I don't find ludicolo doing too much in the damage department. As an example for a replacement move, I suggest mist. With mist and rain dance, you could have a specs kingdra with draco meteor who doesn't have the -2spatk every turn for 4 turns, which is one helluva sweep in ubers.

I like this set, just make sure those EVs allow for a KO of blissey. I don't know if they do.

Ah, scyther, the forgotten UU.

I like the idea of using him as a swords dance passer, but I don't see it going anywhere with this team. Flygon could have it, as could hitmontop, but that's not really going to help them too much, because of the limiting scarf and hitmontop could have it to change that 2HKO of blissey into an OHKO.

Good. Take advantage of that nature and slap fire blast on there over stone edge, so you can get that unresisted combonation.

This is good. You could almost put mach punch over close combat and put life orb on, but whatever.

This I like. Bodyslam > Zen Headbutt so that you get more paralysis.

Thar you go!

It is unneccessary to lower my spatt for something I could just as easily do with waterfall...which is used more often....

Surf always does more damage than waterfall because of higher base power, and the fact that the metagame focuses EVs on defense and neglects special defense. Waterfall on Mixdra sets is strictly to slam Blissey on the switch. For all purposes, Surf is better, and the EVs should be bumped into special attack. Waterfall with Life Orb from the set I suggested still 2HKOs blissey in the rain.
