This is a BW2 OU tournament!

Tournament Description:

UU, BL (and BL2), and RU have some excellent threats just waiting in the wings for OU players to bring them into the mix. Underrated Pokemon run amok in the lower tiers. This is the premise of this tournament. Each round, pokemon will be randomly selected from lower tiers (UU, RU, BL[2], and possibly NU) and presented in a list in the OP. The player’s job is to choose two Pokemon from this list and build an OU team around those Pokemon.

The list of pokemon to choose from will be randomly generated and about twelve pokemon long. 3 will be definitely UU, 5 will be definitely RU, and the rest will be randomly generated from all tiers (BL - NU). This tournament will test your ability to implement lower tier Pokemon into a harsh OU metagame, and also test your ability to adapt to newer threats with which you OU players may not be as readily familiar.

This tournament emphasizes teambuilding, as the lists will change each round.

THIS IS IMPORTANT: SEMIFINALS WILL FOLLOW A DIFFERENT FORMAT. EACH SERIES WILL BE A BEST-OF-FIVE using your teams from the first five rounds! :D All lists are below for your convenience.

The first match played in the Bo5 will be the ROUND 5 list. The loser will then determine which of the next ones gets played, and that continues.

• The banlists for this tournament are the same as for the ladders of the Smogon University server of Pokemon Online.
• No, absolutely any circumstances, johns.
• You must submit the log so I’m sure you followed the tournament regulations, and so I can track the metagame. I will release metagame statistics at the end.

GENESECT AND SUCH ARE ALLOWED. ILLEGAL MOVESETS SUCH AS SPIKES + SLEEP POWDER ROSERADE ARE BANNED. PS MAY ALLOW THEM. AFTER RECENT EVENTS, I WILL NOT.

FelixMinamimoto vs. Brotom
In an epic clash of Pokemon Family Fortunes, recent tournament winner and rising star FelixMinamimoto faces off with his esteemed colleague, teambuilding counterpart, best friend. brother, and fiercest rival, the underrated Brotom. The beautiful twist to this semifinal matchup comes in the form of their tournament strategy and teambuilding skills. They often are known to teambuild together and test and theorize about these tournaments for days on end IRL. Felix is often the teambuilder for OU and Brotom for lower tiers. But now, they face each other with the chance to get to the finals! Which friend will prevail? Will Felix make another tournament final, or will Brotom's new teams take advantage of their close relationship and long hours testing, and pull an upset? Only time will tell.

dragonuser's just so quick with his matches that a highlight couldn't even be written.
Mexican terror Kennen battles with US East up-and-comer dragonuser in a battle that happened too soon. :o

and now the mindgames...who will bring their original team? what kind of changes will be made? Eheh, I enjoy this pairing now that I think about it...

Holy god that was fast. WELL THEN. Guess Brotom and I are playing Sunday because we're johns and don't want to play tomorrow while I'm applying to schools. xD
 
Just wanted to thank user Orichalcos Owl again for writing the highlight match description(s). Unfortunately du vs. Kennen happened before she could get at it, but yeah. That's updated.

If this works out we could have finals...soon. :D
 
Brotom and I played and I won 3-0. Ggs dude, really. Fun stuff.

Matches played were R5, R2, R3. Almost got haxed in R2 but brought it back somehow.
