Welcome to Smogon's first ever UU Generational Showdown Tournament!​

This tournament is designed to test your knowledge in the previous Underused generations and, for those those who don't know much about previous generations, help further their knowledge by doing some building and studying.

This tournament will be a standard single elimination tournament. Each round will last one week. It also will be a best of one so you will have plenty of time to create something within a weeks time. The generations will also follow in the order from current to last generation. For example: Oras UU, BW UU, DPP UU, and ADV UU. If there are alot of entries, we will reset after ADV UU and start back at ORAS UU. I hope you all enjoy!

Tournament Specific Rules:
  • Round one will be played in ORAS format.
  • Ghosting is prohibited.
  • Matches are to be played on Pokemonshowdown.com or the Smogtours server.
  • High activity is a must and you are expected to make arrangements with your opponent by Vming them on their wall so it is easy for us to keep things running smoothly.
  • Save the replay and post it in the thread. One of you are required to do so no matter if you lose.
Finals will be a best of 3 strikeout system, and the first game must be ORAS UU. The loser strikes next tier and the winner pick from the tier that remains. (All matches are a BO1 but you and your opponet can agree to a bo3 provided that I approve it.)

Sleep Clause:A player cannot put two or more different opposing Pokémon to sleep using attacks that induce sleep to opposing Pokémon.

Species Clause: A player cannot have two of the same Pokémon on their team. For example, a player cannot have two Koffing on his or her team.

Evasion Clause: A player cannot use the moves Double Team or Minimize in their Pokémon's movesets.

OHKO Clause: Players cannot use Horn Drill, Guillotine, Sheer Cold, or Fissure in any of their Pokémon's movesets.

Timer Clause: If a player exhausts the timer, he/she loses.
Endless Battle Clause: Any moveset on any pokemon that is capable of intentionally causing an endless battle is banned from competitive play.
