UU hail team

I made a hail team a while ago, and it seems to be working well. ive got about a 50/50 win/lose ratio (I remember about as many wins as losses) and it seems to be solid. Main problem is lack of Abomasnow and Frosslass

team at a glance:

In Depth:

Snover@Focus sash
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: Hp 252, Def 154, SpDef 104
Nature: Bold +def -atk
- Blizzard (He needs an attacking move)
- Leech seed (Health up, and helping Stallrein)
- Protect (Protect against fire)
- Substitute (During enemy stat ups)

Sub seeder. I added Blizzard to give taunting Crobat or setting up sweeper a nasty surprise. Hopefully I will get the freeze when I need it.

Glaceon @ Brightpowder
Ability - Snow Cloak
EVs: 128 Def, 252 SpAtk, 128 SpDef
Nature: Calm +SpDef -Atk
Moves:
- Blizzard (Ice attack)
- Mud slap (legal accuracy lowering)
- Protect (+Survivability)
- Wish (Healing)

You'd be surprised how long this thing can last. Acc lowering + Snow cloak + Protect (+ inaccurate move) = rogue wall. Its also got good defence stats. The SpAtk EVs are to give it some killing power. I'm willing to trade some SpAtk for Hp EVs though.

365Walrein.png

Walrein @ Leftovers
Ability - Ice Body
EVs 172 Hp, 154 Def, 184 SpDef
Nature: Bold +Def -Atk
Moves:
- Blizzard (Ice attack)
- Protect (Stallrein)
- Substitute (Stallrein)
- Surf (Water attack)

Your generic stallrein. Not much to say, but you'll notice I like protect. It would be a beast if I could bp mean look and leech seed to it. Umbreon might be good, but im not sure which pokemon to replace it with.

150px-ArtRotom.png

Rotom @ Leftovers
Ability - Levitate
EVs: 6 HP, 252 Spd, 128 Def, 128 SpDef
Nature: Timid +Spd -Atk
Moves:
- Confuse Ray
- Discharge
- Shadow Ball
- Will o Wisp

A status inducer and rapid spin blocker. I don't really like this guy, but hes my best bet in leu of Frosslass. I can paralyse with Discharge, confuse with CR, burn with WoW, and damage ghost/psychics with SB.

297Hariyama.png

Hariyama @ Leftovers
Ability - Guts
EVs: 252 atk, 4 def, 252 spd
Nature: Adamant +atk -spatk
Moves:
- Bullet Punch
- Focus Punch
- Stone Edge
- Substitute

My Fire absorber (I have Guts to soak up burn) and physical attacker. Gave it BP for a priority move (I remember my Trick Room team being defeated easily by Ice Sharding Mamoswine) and Stone Edge for flyers. I gave it Focus Punch because I find sub punch better than CC.

344Claydol.png

Claydol @ Leftovers
Ability - Levitate
EVs: HP 252, Def 152, SpDef 100
Nature: Impish + Def - SpAtk
Moves:
- Earthquake
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic

My SRer and Spinner. With this set its got 300+ on all three defence stats, which is good. I added Toxic for poisoning walls.

Strategy: Start with Snover then Leech Seed and switch to Stallrein and... stall.
Glaceon and Hariyama are for wall sweeps. With Clay and Rotom as support.

Abomasnow is not allowed in UU which is why the OP has to settle on snover.

For tips I would definitely try to switch up your snover and rotom's movesets.
Snover specifically because of faster taunt users. Crobat leads and other common one's can taunt your snover and then it is a force switch out with a turn for the other team to set up. Also the same goes for your rotom.

Replace one of the statuses, maybe toxic? for thunderbolt or shadow ball.
Or maybe replace thunder wave with discharge so you still have some
paralysis opportunity.

But zero attacks on two pokemon will get exploited.

My only other suggestion is maybe have a pokemon with flash fire like Houndoom for a simple switch in boost combination.

A pretty good team overall.

Rotom should have some attacks, as well as snover(though he should only see battle if you need to start the hail again). Blizzard on snover can help a little with its meager attacking stats due to high base power for the move. I would run thunderbolt/shadowball/ hidden power whatever you need coverage on/will o wisp instead of discharge because you are running toxic spikes and a paralysed opponent cannot be poisoned, but toxic spikes just arent as good in UU with roserade on so many teams and you still see drapions. so maybe just pack toxic on a poke or two and run spikes instead as it is much more viable either way is fine really.
Lastly, Hariyama's place in uu is better used for something else. His main purpose is to beat tyranitar(not happening). You can still use him, but I would make him a phazer to help rack up SR damage. since belly drum just isnt easy to do with such a slow poke. I deff. agree with the comment about a flash fire user(or moltress and a rapid spinner since you could use one anyway because moltress can do the stall thing quite well herself.)

Nice team overall, but I'd like to point out that Hariyama is completely screwed over by ghosts- I'd replace focus punch with Stone Edge or something. Most of the time you'd only be able to pull off one focus punch a match, anyway, because you'll only have room for one sub after a belly drum and it'll probably get broken immediately.

I'm not going to claim to have the UU experience to give an in-depth rate, but I can safely say that you should get rid of Ingrain on Snover and switch its item to Leftovers. Ingrain heals 1/16 of your max HP per turn, which is - big surprise here - the exact same as leftovers. So running Ingrain + Shed Shell is wasting both a moveslot and a turn during the match.

Cheers.

Glaceon doesn't really have the defenses to be worrying about mud slap or using Brightpowder...she's better suited as a revenge killer with a scarf, or a special sweeper with choice specs. Specs Blizzard in the snow is terrifyingly powerful coming off her high SpA.

As mentioned, Ingrain is useless apart from Bpass chain protection. That said, Snover isn't countering anything any time soon, so it really doesn't matter all too much what you put on it.

Belly Drum is bad on a wall Hariyama as he's not supposed to sweep. Give him Payback to hit ghosts, or Stone Edge to hit fliers or other Ice types.

Swap T-wave for Discharge (still high paralysis rate), and Toxic for Shadow Ball (you already have Tspikes and Will o Wisp, you're covered). That way, Rotom can act as a decent counter to things.

A fighting sweeper...like Hitmonlee for instance, that has EQ/CC/SE/anything will run through your team like no one's business. Also, any Rain Dance team that takes out Snover will give you immense trouble. For the former, I'd suggest Claydol >> Nidoqueen for fighting resist, Psychic support, Rapid Spin (because SR KILLS Glaceon and hurts Walrein), and SR. As far as RD teams go, put Blizzard on Snover, so it can do something to the lead Electrode/Crobat that will taunt you. Stick a focus sash on him in case it Brave Birds or attempts to Explode.

the great thing about Glaceon is that he can be both a revenge killer (as many things are slower than it) and a staller. Im also changing Rotom and Snover's attacks. Look at TP for changes in bold.
