Rules:
  • Every round, a Pokémon will be picked as a subject, and users should nominate the best teammates for said Pokémon.
  • You must include a set of your teammate as well as a description explaining why it's a good teammate.
  • Preferably have your Pokémon be ranked in the Viability Rankings thread, but exceptions are allowed within reason.
  • You are allowed to reserve a Pokémon, but only for 24 hours.
  • You can write for as many teammates as you wish.
  • Valid submissions will be handpicked by the host and added to an archive.

Cycle 1 — Noivern

Noivern @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor / Hurricane
- Flamethrower
- U-turn / Defog
- Roost

Noivern stands as arguably UU's most dominant Pokémon. It's a major force in the metagame but it still has plenty of checks around. What teammates can help Noivern perform its role the best or benefit from its support? You have until next Friday to finish your submissions.

:ss/roserade:

Roserade @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Sludge Bomb
- Spikes
- Rest

Roserade is a fantastic partner to Noivern, especially U-turn versions, for its ability to pressure all of Noivern's checks and counters that it lures in like Rhyperior, Gigalith, Sylveon, and Milotic. Flamethrower Noivern in return can pressure Steel-types, especially Escavalier, for Roserade. Spikes support can also help pressure Noivern's checks and switch-ins.

:Cobalion:
Cobalion @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Iron Head
- Close Combat
- Stealth Rock / Thunder Wave

Cobalion is an amazing partner for Noivern. Noivern is great for checking Cobalion's biggest answers Doublade and Golisopod and Noivern can U-turn to bait in Umbreon. They both put a lot of pressure on rockers like Rhyp and Bronzong as well which makes them a profound core. Cobalion can also run Thunder Wave to bait opposing Noivern, which prevents any pesky Noivern speed ties to decide the game.

:ss/pangoro:

Pangoro @ Choice Band
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 252 Atk/ 4 SpD/ 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- Iron Head/Gunk Shot
- Bullet Punch

Pangoro is a great partner for Noivern, specifically U-Turn Noivern, because Noivern brings in checks such as Gigalith, Rhyperior, Umbreon, and Bronzong and can U-Turn out on them to bring in Pangoro to punch holes through the opponent's team. With Iron Head or Gunk Shot, Pangoro is also able to deal massive damage to other common Noivern switch-ins, such as Gardevoir and Sylveon. In return, Noivern can switch into some common Pangoro revenge killers, such as Golisopod and Cobalion.

All three submissions have been added to the archive:
Cycle 1:
Noivern
Cycle 2 — Dragon Dance Haxorus

Haxorus @ Lum Berry / Life Orb
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Poison Jab / Dragon Claw

Haxorus is one of UU's most intimidating Pokémon, with a really strong attack stat, access to Dragon Dance, and powerful coverage, especially Mold Breaker Earthquake. The Choice Band set is really powerful, but this week we'll look for teammates for the Dragon Dance set. Have fun, friends!

reserving ninetales

:ss/Ninetales:
Ninetales @ Heavy-Duty Boots

Ability: Drought
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Fire Blast
- Solar Beam
- Toxic

:ninetales: & :haxorus:

ninetales is a great teampartner due to its ability to break past steel-types like doublade and escavalier with its super-effective fire blast, ninetales can also soften up bulky waters like milotic with its coverage option in solar beam or wear down other bulky checks of haxorus with toxic in the long run,
so haxorus has a better time breaking through the opposing team in the later game.
haxorus on the other hand can break through fire-types which can be troublesome for ninetales such as chandelure, arcanine and incineroar.
haxorus also removes gigalith for ninetales as gigalith can remove the sun with its sand stream ability, but haxorus can help with this issue and can hit it with a super-effective earthquake and weakens it for ninetales.

in overall i think these 2 pokémon can be good offensive teammates and have the capabilities to break each others checks and combat the weakness
of the other pokémon very well. haxorus removes troublesome fire-types for ninetales and ninetales removes steel-types such as escavalier and breaks
bulky waters such as milotic.

Necrozma @ Lum Berry
Ability: Prism Armor
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Photon Geyser
- Knock Off
- Earthquake

DD Necrozma + DD Haxorus form a very dangerous wallbreaking pair that are incredibly effective especially on screens HO. Haxorus can very effectively weaken Escavalier so that Necrozma can clean up late game, while Necrozma can nicely set up on Flygon after it revenge kills Haxorus.

:ss/Vanilluxe:
Vanilluxe @ Light Clay
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Aurora Veil
- Filler
- Filler
- Filler

Its not necessarily Vanilluxe that has great synergy with Haxorus but Aurora Veil. Aurora Veil acts like dual screens in one move and is great for enabeling set up opportunities for Haxorus by weaken incoming attacks. Hail can be useful to get some little chip on defensive mons that lack Leftovers.

The following submissions will be added to the archive (Ninetales was left out, as it's rather niche and doesn't support Haxorus as much as these two do):
Cycle 2:
Dragon Dance Haxorus
Cycle 3 — Assault Vest Copperajah

Copperajah @ Assault Vest
Ability: Heavy Metal
EVs: 172 HP / 252 Atk / 84 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Heavy Slam
- Heat Crash
- Power Whip
- Earthquake

Copperajah is a solid breaker in the tier with colorful coverage and a great attack stat, that coupled with a really useful typing and respectable bulk, makes it a great choice in the current meta, but what teammates can support it best?

Also, small announcement: we'll be holding a vote for favorite submission of the week to try and help increase the activity of the project. I will handpick the submissions, and you guys will vote on the best one every week.

Reserving Rotom-W

:ss/Rotom-Wash:
Rotom-W has nice defensive synergy with Copper. It can pivot into fire and ground types that threaten Copper. It can also bring in Copper safely with its Volt Switch on stuff that try to beat Rotom-W like grass types.

reserving Noivern

Noivern @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Flamethrower
- U-turn
- Roost

Noivern is a good partner, he resists / is immune to Copperajah's weaknesses (fire, ground, fighting), uturn makes it easy to bring Copperajah to the field. Moreover, one hits on the physical, the other on the special, allowing a better offensive cover. Copperajah is good against pokemon blocking Noivern like Sylveon, gigalith ... and vice versa.

sylveon

:ss/Sylveon:
Sylveon @ Leftovers
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Wish
- Protect
- Heal Bell

:sylveon: has a good synergy with copperajah as it can help against strong fighting-type mons like pangoro, which recently rises up in usage and
is a strong wallbreaker in the tier. it can help against this pkmn with a 4x effective hyper voice to instantly get rid off this threat for copperajah.
sylveon can also help with heal bell support as a burn or paralysis hinders it to fullfill its role in the battle and it provides, that copperajah has more longevity in case of a cured burn, as it doesnt loose the health in the long term of the game.
sylveon can also act like a wish support help for copperajah, so the longevity is maintained in the long term of the game. copperajah instead can help against strong special attackers like roserade and other threatening poison-type pkmn, as it is immune to these kinds of attacks. copperajah can also help against pkmn like bronzong, which can be troublesome for sylveon, as it can dish out a heat crash and it can also help against pkmn like gardevoir as well.
in overall these two pkmn appreciate each others support in the long term of the game and they can help to check other pkmn for each other.
