Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
A terrifying special sweeper in the tier, Meteor Beam Nihilego is able to absolutely tear through unprepared teams, boosting it's stats to such a degree it's frankly ridiculous. However, it's rather prone to Steel-type Pokemon and revenge killers like Lycanroc and Azumarill. How'll you help this parasite leech off of the metagame for success? 5 days to submit
Krookodile @ Focus Sash Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Earthquake - Knock Off
- Stealth Rock - Taunt
Krookodile is a common lead on hyper offense teams as a reliable Stealth Rock setter that can get them up by living any attack with Focus Sash. It is also a great way of dealing with Jirachi and Aegislash for Nihilego.
Zygarde-10% @ Choice Band
Ability: Aura Break
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Thousand Arrows
- Extreme Speed
- Outrage
- Glare
Zydog is a great partner to Nihilego because zydog can remove steel types like celesteela and aegislash who annoy Nihilego.Additionaly Nihilego can kill off grass types like tapu bulu,Tangrowth and Zarude who annoy Zydog.
Here are some calcs

Vote for your favourite! Quick note: this project will be going on a week hiatus just to give myself space for some irl stuff, so we will be back shortly!
welcome back everyone! Krook wins last round, yadayadayada, but this project is coming back! Lets jump right into it and I’m sorry that this post is messing its because I’m making it at 11pm at night! This week we’ll be looking at Roserade, an amazing spiker who’s shot up in usage recently. What do you plan to pair this flower with? 5
Buzzwole @ Leftovers / Rocky Helmet / Life Orb / Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 152 HP / 252 Atk / 104 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge - Roost
Buzzwole greatly appreciates the spikes support it gets from Roserade, making its already difficult to switch into attacks a pain to deal with. Since this is a more offensive version of Roserade, it can deal with RestTalk Primarina, Amoonguss, and Keldeo a for Buzzwole. Buzzwole being able to break through Steel-types such as Celesteela, Jirachi, and Aegislash also benefit Roserade's offensive presence.
Azelf is a great pick to go with azelf, taking advantage of the spikes set to break through checks like aegislash and jirachi. It can also pivot to bring in Roserade.
Krookodile @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Knock Off
- Earthquake
- Toxic
Krookodile + Roserade form a pretty neat hazards combo, Krook being able to pressure a lot of common removers with its stabs and Toxic, while acting as an offensive check to Aegislash, Jirachi, Nihilego and Tentacruel that can all bother Rose. Bulky Krook with (a lot of) HP investment is worth considering, since it makes it more reliable at checking the aforementioned, and overall gives it more defensive presence and ability to soft check a bunch of other threats.
In return, Roserade can Spikes on a bunch of krook switch-ins, notably bullying the regen grasses, rotom wash and other waters depending on your investment (full hp/even fatter variants are better in that regard).
The two together are great at making progress since our removals arent great and can lose to either, and both bring an insane amount of utility in only two slots.
...but the buzzer is the superior rose partner cant lie
Azelf has proven to be an incredibly versatile Pokemon that can take advantage of its high Speed tier and offensive capabilities to run this fast support set, making it an amazing pivot for teammates while using Knock Off to get rid of opposing Pokemon's items. I'm sure plenty of Pokemon appreciates its utility and offensive presence, so lets see who does it best! 5 days to submit!
@ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic
Krookodile helps azelf by wearing down its checks with stealth rocks wear down stuff in addition to u-turn gaining momentum of stuff such as moltres-g, umbreon, and incineroar. Toxic can also help against pokemon like umbreon, incineroar and can force moltres-g to rest which makes it easier to take advantage of.
