Weakness Policy Swampert (Amoonguss/Tangrowth Lure)
:ss/swampert:
Swampert @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 48 HP / 208 Atk / 252 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Avalanche
- Earthquake
- Liquidation
- Stealth Rock / Toxic / Superpower

The goal of this Swampert is to lure in the Regenerator Grass-types, survive a Giga Drain to activate Weakness Policy, and remove them with a +2 Avalanche, which will have its power doubled due to Swampert being hit first since Avalanche has -4 priority. Earthquake and Liquidation fill up the other 2 moveslots to allow Swampert to still deal respectable physical damage with its STABs. The last slot is pretty open, so I would recommend either Stealth Rock or Toxic to allow Swampert to be useful beyond its lure role, but you could also go with a Fighting move like Superpower if you want to hit Chansey and Umbreon harder.

Reserving av mirror coat

:ss/swampert:
Swampert @ Assault Vest
Ability: Damp
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Flip Turn
- Ice Punch
- Mirror Coat

Unlike the more common Swampert sets this set's main goal isn't to put up Rocks and pivot around. Instead with the AV boost and access to Mirror Coat it is able to lure in and remove a lot of special attackers in the tier whilst also dealing a lot more damage because of the attack investment which makes it useful even if it can't Mirror Coat.

Moves:
EQ and Flip Turn are standard picks on Swampert which will deal good damage because of the max attack investment.

The last move is up for debate.
Ice Punch is solid since it allows u to OHKO both Zydog and chunk Salamence + it being your only way of really damaging Hydreigon and Gmoltres whilst Scald is also nice option for spreading burns and punishing unsuspecting physical attackers. If you opt for Scald you can potentially go Brave nature instead.

Mirror Coat is the big star of this set. A move not many people will be expecting on Swampert which allows you to bait in and OHKO a lot of special attackers in the tier essentially making you trade Swampert for a big threat on their team.

To put it in perspective Swampert with AV Mirror Coat will potentially deal with all of these special attackers in UU: :amoonguss: :tangrowth: :azelf: :thundurus-therian: :kommo-o: :moltres-galar: :aegislash: :volcanion: :toxtricity: :keldeo: :primarina: :hydreigon: :hatterene: :chandelure:

I will go a bit more in-depth about matchups that aren't as consistent or are interesting. All mons listed will have calcs below.

Other options: You could potentially drop the AV and instead go a bulky spdef set so you can still have Rocks. This will survive way less attacks overall though making it a worse special attacker lure.
Running more spdef evs seems logical since it means you'll tank attacks even better but by doing so you will lower your Mirror Coat damage output since it is reliant on how much damage you take yourself and you will lose the option of running max attack lowering your damage output overall.
You could potentially run Superpower over Ice Punch to mostly chunk Chansey especially with Eviolite gone but this worsens the matchup against a lot of other threats and removing Chansey isn't the main goal with this set either.
Running Torrent as the ability makes sense since Swampert will be at low HP after tanking a hit and using Mirror Coat. The problem is that the only move that benefits from it is Flip Turn (and potentially Scald) which isn't really a strong move and a Swampert at low HP struggles to get an attack of anyway because of its low speed.

Amoonguss is normally a very consistent check against the standard Swampert sets. This set will do huge damage to it if you Mirror Coat their Giga Drain dealing 94-112% to them. If they decide to switch in when you use EQ the chip damage + Mirror Coat will always be an OHKO even with Giga Drain healing. This is game changer since it means leaving the Amoonguss at 6% at worst and OHKO'ing it at best. If the enemy decides to switch out after (fortunately for them) surviving the Mirror Coat they will be at 39% at most which opens up the door for teammates like Zydog to take advantage of it. This isn't completely fool proof though since the enemy also still has the option to Spore the Swampert which means no Mirror Coat chip damage.

Tangrowth is another tank that normally takes advantage of Swampert really well. If you Mirror Coat their Giga Drain though it will be a clean OHKO which opens up teammates like Zygarde and Mienshao. This is sadly still not confirmed removal since Tangrowth could opt to Knock or Sleep Powder.

Azelf with Energy Ball would normally be able to KO Swampert easily but with the AV you're able to survive Ebelt Energy Ball and even potentially a LO boosted one! +2 Energy Ball you are a goner though.

Thundurus-T will not KO Swampert even at +6 and you will always KO back with Mirror Coat. The problem is a potential Grass Knot on their part.

The Clangorous Soul Kommo-o set will never be able to KO or survive Swampert if it attacks and gets coated. Even if it goes for multiple boosts on Swampert it'll eat any hit and KO back with Coat. The Sub Clang set does beat it though as does a mixed offensive set.

Gmoltres is normally a huge threat and a difficult mon to try and check and it still is even with AV Pert but you are able to deal with it if all goes well.
This is because Pert will not allow Gmolt to get both boosts unless you get flinched.
Hard switching Pert on an Agility means either Gmolt's damage output is too low and it gets 2HKO'd by Ice Punch or Gmolt goes for NP on Ice punch and then needs to flinch after.
If it goes for NP when you hard into Pert it will never be able to get up an Agility boost unless it decides to eat the Ice punch as it uses Agility and then flinches. A shaky check since flinches will ruin your day but otherwise you either deny it from getting x2 speed which makes it easier to revenge kill or you are able to just cleanly 2HKO if it does decide to Agility.

Sub CM won't be able to stall you out even when you are burned since EQ breaks the sub still unless they're running physdef investment. Specs sets will get Mirror coated. The defensive RestTalk set will risk getting 2HKO'd potentially but it is a roll and it can still go for the burn.

Hydreigon if not Nasty Plot will not be doing a lot of damage to Pert which means you are able to 2HKO with Ice Punch. Even +2 you can survive hits from. It is sadly immune to Mirror Coat and it can also flinch you down which means this set isn't a super consistent check to NP Hydreigon.

Hatterene will not beat Swampert because Draining Kiss does too little which means it is forced to Psyshock which in turn lets it get KO'd by Mirror Coat. It does create some mind games since Draining Kiss won't do enough for Coat to KO.

Chandelure will always get walled by Pert and risks getting OHKO'd by EQ. If Chandelure has Energy Ball though then it is a different story.

You can annoy people with this by burning anything that is immune to toxic such as celesteela, amoonguss, skarmory, and slowbro-g. Toxic annoys pokemon that otherwise can stave of the burns like rotom-w, tangrowth, slowking, salamence, and hydreigon. Roar makes it so you can get more opportunities by roaring them into unfavorable matchups such as excadrill, nihilego, regieleki, and jirachi and proceed to annoy them even more.

Bulk Up is an interesting new addition to Swampert's movepool this generation, allowing it to set up on several Pokemon thanks to its good typing and bulk. The moves are relatively obvious choices for this sort of set. You get completely walled by Grass-types, but it's not like regular sets do that much to them long-term.

(Work Up + Amnesia) Weakness Policy Swampert

Swampert @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Damp
EVs: 252 SpA / 76 SpD / 180 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Work Up
- Amnesia
- Earth Power
- Blizzard

The overall intended goal is to set up on all the common bulky Regenerator mons in the tier, namely Tangrowth, Amoonguss, Slowking and Galar-Slowbro. Basically, you click Work Up on whichever defensive pivot your opponent swaps in, and if Tangrowth or Amoonguss hit the field on the Work Up, you click Amnesia right after to tank the incoming Giga Drain that does around half, and pop the Weakness Policy so you go from +1 SpAtk to +3 SpAtk and be in a commanding position instantly. This is where the fun begins!

I’m running Damp over Torrent because I’m not running Water STAB on this set and it’s useful against a small handful of mons that run Explosion such as Sash Lead Azelf and Regieleki.

180 Speed is meant to creep 16 Speed Mandibuzz so Swampert won’t get outsped and drop to Foul Play. The speed also helps against other slow wallbreakers that run max speed Adamant like Conkeldurr, Azumarill and Crawdaunt. The remaining 76 EVs go into SpDef since Swampert is going to be using Amnesia to reduce special hits and the healthier Swampert is during these exchanges, the better.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SpDef Amoonguss takes 56.9 - 67.1% from a +1 Blizzard, but if you click Amnesia to pop the WP from Giga Drain, then +3 has a very high chance to kill Amoonguss from full.

For Slowking, you can easily set up on it by clicking Amnesia once and Work Up two or three times depending on the Slowking set, all while taking virtually no damage from Scald or Future Sight. +3 Earth Power 2HKOes SpDef Slowking while +2 EP 2HKOes the PhysDef variant.

You set up the same way you do with Slowking against Galar Slowbro except some Galar Slowbro sets run more SpAtk EVs and non-AV or SpDef sets gets easily OHKOed by +1 Earth Power so you’re better off clicking Amnesia more than Work Up to handily 1v1 almost any variant of Galar Bro.

PhysDef Helmet Tangrowth gets OHKOed by a +1 Blizzard (and even an unboosted Blizzard kills after rocks) however SpDef AV Tangrowth takes 52.9 - 62.3% which is abysmal damage until you pop the WP after clicking Work Up + Amnesia, which is a roll to kill Tang from full at +3.

You can view the calcs I ran for these situations found in the Calcs button. I hope you like the set!

This cycle winner is Celebiii with their Weakness Policy Swampert submission, congrats! (again), now the next NBT mon is...
:SS/Diancie:
This Mon has been rising in usage quite a bit lately thanks to it's unique typing that allows it to beat Thundu & Kommo-O while also having access to SR and Diamond Storm + Body Press is a very obnoxious combo. However, she's tired of her Stealth Rock set, what will you do with this pink diamond?

Mega Diancie is a very strong offensive threat in NatDex, so what if you could also get a budget M.Diancie outside of NatDex? After a Rock Polish, Diancie hits 398 Speed, which outpaces every (unboosted/not scarfed) Pokemon in UU. Meteor Beam allows Diancie to boost its Special Attack, allowing it to reach Mega Diancie-levels of power. It also hits for good damage, I guess. Earth Power allows Diancie to murder threats like Excadrill, Nidoking, Nihilego, and finish off Aegislash (you dont OHKO it though, even if it has no HP investment). Mystical Fire is also nice as it allows Diancie to still hit Steels (with a side of Skarmory) and Amoonguss, but you miss out on killing Nidoking and Aegis becomes harder to take down. Moonblast hits Dragon- and Fighting-types and is a STAB, so it hits neutral targets a bit hard. Moonblast-Earth Power combo also gives you enough coverage to hit most Pokemon neutrally.

Weaknesses of this set include getting nuked by Scarf Jirachi, being walled to death by Chansey, and the fact that you need a free turn to setup.

Fake Tears is not a Nasty Plot, but it can be equally useful to get past some checks with the right predictions.

This set is a fastish offensive one and catches off-guard most opponents because Diancie is a slow bulky monster defensively inclined, so almost nobody expects a 252 Spe EVs spread.

Meteor Beam (+Power Herb to get immediately a +1 SpA boost) and Moonblast is the dual STAB combination, whereas Mystical Fire is for coverage and utility.
Don't understimate the secondary effect of Moonblast and Mystical Fire that rectifies the lack of defensive spread.

Fake Tears is perfect towards Unaware users unlikely Nasty Plot, and can be a nice way to support your team.

This Diancie acts as a bulky win condition that isn't walled by almost anything (bar Unaware users and Ghost/Dark types). You will need to be careful when setting it up, as it is vulnerable to status, but having the option to boost either defensive stat as needed while still being threatening allows Diancie some flexibility in what it can set up on. I chose to go with a Bold nature since most Steel attacks in the tier are physical and I figured Diancie will appreciate the extra boost to its defense more than special defense.

With this set you're essentially trading off the longevity of Lefties and the option of Rocks for just a far more offensively capable and bulkier set. Because of the strong coverage moves you're also able to chunk mons that would normally abuse the fact you can't hit them for a lot of damage, which in turn makes it less of a momentum drain.

Moves:
Diamond Storm is still a necessity even on a specially based set since Power Gem is only a 75% to OHKO Thundy-T whilst Diamond Storm with 32 atk evs is a guaranteed OHKO when you land. If this isn't a problem then you can go max spatk and Power Gem > Diamond Storm.
Moonblast is STAB
Mystical Fire is mainly for Skarm and other Steels whilst Earth Power hits the grounded Steels like Excadrill harder.
Psychic could be an option to hit unsuspecting Amoonguss hard but beyond that it doesn't offer too much.

Gonna show some calcs here that the regular Diancie set can't accomplish. They're mostly offensive calcs since the special bulk between the two sets is rather similar.

Trick Room Diancie

:ss/diancie:

Diancie @ Leftovers/Mental Herb
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Trick Room
- Stealth Rock
- Misty Explosion
- Explosion/Encore

Trick Room is a niche playstyle but still definitely useable. With this set you are able to survive a +1 gyarados waterfall after stealth rocks, while also being tanky enough to survive hits from things like thundy/moltres etc.. Using diancie as a TR stealth rocker also frees up the uxie slot for another trick room setter/abuser, and in general serves as a decent pivot/setter for a TR team.

Diancie @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Power Gem
- Mystical Fire

This is similar to the other setup sets above, but it allows you to preserve more of Diancie's defensive utility, and you aren't left with a deadweight slot after using Meteor Beam.

Double Dance Life Orb Diancie

Diancie @ Life Orb
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Rock Polish
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Mystical Fire

252 Speed Modest lets Diancie outspeed Max Speed Adamant Crawdaunt and Conkeldurr, as well as speed tie with Max Speed Adamant Azumarill. After a single Rock Polish, it outspeeds every non-Choice Scarfer in UU.

Overview:

I went with Mystical Fire over Earth Power on this set to deal more damage to Amoonguss and Tangrowth, in addition to heavily chipping or KOing Skarmory before it can Whirlwind and stop Autotomize Power Herb Celesteela from getting free set-up on the swap. After +1 from Calm Mind, Diancie can get 2HKOes on many defensive Pokemon in the tier.
