Decided to do this again for Week #4. These are ranking the people currently playing this week in these slots (so if you are wondering why someone like HSA is not ranked in GSC, it's because DPP is where they are slotted, etc.) All of the Dragonairs are obviously #1 in their respective tiers so I won't be ranking them here since it would be unfair to everyone else.

I did these based on a combination of Week 1 + Week 2 + Week 3 performance, taking into accounts overall records + who you beat as well as actual game performance during the games (I do watch all of the actual games), and also combined this with past pedigree/performance overall in that tier or mons generally. As always these rankings don't mean diddly squat but here we go again:

RBY: Amaranth vs. Unowndragon
NAMELESS VAGABONDS BEST TEAM LET'S GOOO! When you have no name, you're capable of using some unstoppable magic...fuelled by some serious (I promise!!) support and competitive spirit, I think my boy Amaranth will win out. Huh? I'm biased? Of course! Unowndragon has entered the fray from another dimension and is a serious contender themselves though, having some fairly interesting moveset and team choices unlike what you regularly see from the RBY UU-initiated. Will Amaranth get tripped up in this highlight game?

RBY: Koalacance vs. Diophantine
Koalacance toppled a titan last week, and in an impressive 2-0 victory! They're coming into this week with significant momentum, and I believe they're going to keep that going. Fellow British user Diophantine is no slouch either though, playing a ton of RBY and GSC alongside extensive experience in the scheduling matchup. I can see an upset happening here.

RBY: phoopes vs. Drogba In Shenhua
I have to root for phoopes here as a certified phan™. Notorious for his AgiliWrapping antics and being around since the start of the tier's renaissance, I think he has the experience to win out. However, I've been following Drogba's replays a good bit, and I do think there's potential to pull off an upset here as well! Can Drogba handle the heat from el dragón de la constricción?

RBY: pac vs. Torchic
Torchic has been knocking it out of the park this year, beating notable player after notable player in spectacular fashion, I really can't side with pac here. These two practice with each other a bit, so there's experience on both sides. While I am certainly a bit iffy about both of their teambuilding ethics, their skill is undeniable and they've been rapidly improving. Let's see how that practice experience translates into bracket!

GSC: Raichy vs Mystras Leoxses - Hyped af to see Mystras get their chance to start here now. Raichy is definitely not an easy opponent to begin with, but I'll be interested to see how they perform, as they've had a lot of practice learning the tier with me (and i'm assuming Holly too) and I absolutely love that we have newer members of the UU community showing an interest in this fantastic tier lately. Definitely think Raichy is favoured here, but would not be surprised to see an upset here at all.

GSC: Holly vs Leru - While not a particularly clean game from either side, with multiple game deciding crits happening on either side, Holly got their first victory this tour finally, bringing some heat including Thunder Bull vs me after using it vs her in friendlies a bunch recently to capitalise on my high Oma usage, after having her first match definitely stolen. Leru's team last week felt very outdated and extremely Mr. Mime weak, double Slowtwins is definitely more of a relic of the past at this point in particular too, not to mention the Gyara mu was pretty poor as well. Roar protect pilo really aggravates this mime issue honestly without any recovery on it rendering it unable to really pressure it. Can definitely see Holly capitalising on Leru's building habits so far this tour with a solid team an winning this game comfortably if Leru doesn't bring something more solid this week, as ignoring her dodgy week 1 team Holly has been backing herself up as one of the strongest builders in this tier atm.

GSC: Vani vs Lpz - Should be a solid game. Lpz is a goat at oldgen lower tiers in general, but vani has robjr support andd has been bringing some really nice teams this tour, even if they haven't necessarily worked out in practice. Saw a Mime Gyara mirror last week in vani's game that he unfortunately couldn't pull out vs HSA, but I could absolutely see him pull this game if he plays well and continues to bring solid teams.


:rs/gyarados: :rs/mr-mime: :rs/hypno:

On the note of MimeGyara and HypnoGyara, this team structure really has been showing absolute dominance lately and this last week proved it in particular with 5 uses out of the 8 teams, will be interesting to see if this trend continues but it was definitely interesting to watch the Light Screen Hypno + mixed breakers and RestTalk Mime + Gyarados mirrors occur, showing how strong of a force they are in GSC UU, and how much they can help dominate the offensive landscape between either opening up so many doors for Pokemon like Nidoqueen/Piloswine into bulky Waters/Psychics with Light Screen or overwhelming shared counterplay to MimeGyaraGround like Hypno that just can't stand an offensive barrage from a core with such solid longevity.

Gyarados in particular has been showcasing how valuable its typing and Spikes immunity is to continuously pressure metagame staples like PIloswine and Scyther while having all the right tools to break through its checks with repeated chances to crit fish (especially vs non twave psychics) and punish all the pivoting it forces with Roar, and how valuable its speed tier can be in this tier. This Pokemon's usage is skyrocketing for great reason with its solid matchup into all playstyles and huge defensive utility + splashability, and I absolutely expect to see a solid rise for it in the VR after this tour is done.

SS: lax vs. umbry - i could see umbry winning this one as well but i remember she being kinda burned out with the tier so giving the edge to lax here, should be a great one nonetheless
SS: EviGaro vs. sensei axew - sensei not en ru has been doing well, evi has been fine but sensei looked more solid overall
SS: Aliss vs. Punny - sorry for bolding against you for the third time but its hard to bold against punny
SM: Xiri vs. Gondra - i think sm is where gondra truly shines so i'll go with him there
ORAS: Pak vs. Garay oak
BW: choolio vs. Mr.378
DPP: watashi vs. esche
ADV: eden vs. Expulso - eden has been solid and playing the tier since the start of the tour and although expulso does have prior experience with adv uu he was in dpp until this week so i'll give eden the edge here, i could see expulso winning this as well tho.
GSC: Raichy vs. Mystras Leoxses - nice to see newer enthusiastic faces getting a chance to play but i think getting raichy on your first game is tough, interested to see what mystras will come up with
RBY: Amaranth vs. Unowndragon - apparently this unowndragon person is good at rby uu but for now i'll go with amaranth since he's the more ''proven'' player

SS: Star vs. Bushtush
SS: xavgb vs. Meru - xavgb did get a good matchup last week but i think he pilotted it well to not give luirromen chances to win it, meru has been fine but i dont feel like the games have been as solid as the one xavgb played last week so
SS: Mimilucha vs. Notily - i still think both need some polishing there and there playingwise but i usually like their teams, going with mimilucha because his teams looked more solid overall
SM: Santu vs. Adaam - could go either way but like gondra i feel like adaam feels way more comfy at sm
ORAS: EternalSnowman vs. Cynde - havent seen much from ESM but i havent really been liking cynde's games in this tour so far, hope he can prove me wrong tho
BW: Lily vs. Finchinator - i think both are good players but i expect lily to bring some crack stuff and tilt finch
DPP: Heysup vs. fatty
ADV: Hyogafodex vs. r0ady - r0ady comes from a 3-0 if im not mistaken but hyoga has been playing fine and seems motivated with the tier so i'll trust him to win this one
GSC: Holly vs. Leru - i could see Leru taking this one as well since he's no slouch but i think the ceo of gsc low tiers herself might keep the momentum after getting the win last week
RBY: Koalacance vs. Diophantine - if they put adaam in rby then maybe it'd be a different bolding here....

ORAS: Scalescale vs. Chaitanya - chait has been bringing some crack but it has been working so far, i expect him to do the same this week and catch scalescale by surprise with god knows what tech
BW: ninjadog vs. Amukamara - despite losing last week to some insane crack from lily he has more knowledge about the tier in this matchup
DPP: HSA vs. Accel - hsa is a good player all around but is most likely less familiar with the tier
ADV: Roseybear vs. BigFatMantis - not a big fan of BFM's team last week so for now i'll be bolding rosey
GSC: beatiful vs. Estarossa - BEA EN GSC UU? LOL. He might be able to do decently there but i dont expect him to be pacient enough to play for more than 50 turns
RBY: pac vs. Torchic - not gonna pretend that i really know about this tier so i'll just pick the one with the better record
