uu stall team

Intro:
hello this is my uu stall team that I've been working with for a while. i made mostly because i like stall and haven't played uu in while so i made this team.

The Team:

Spr_4p_405_m_s.png

Luxray@Leftovers
Ability: intimidate
EVs: 204 HP / 54 Atk / 252 SpA
Nature: Quiet (+SpA -Spd)
-Discharge
-Hidden Power [ground]
-Crunch
-Light Screen

When you first think about it my Frolass would be a better option but this guy has done a better job. Crunch can hit froslass and rotom who block my spin. discharge hits very hard and hits so many things mainly swellow and Altaria. hidden power can lanturn and steelix that are likely switch ins to Luxray anyway. light screen can help it wall against Lantrun. overall it has wonderful coverage for uu and normally gets at leat 2 kills a match.
Spr_4p_036.png

Clefable@Flame Orb
Ability: Cute Charm
EV's: 252 HP / 152 def / 100 SpD
Nature: bold (+Def -Atk)
-Wish
-Seismic Toss
-Light Screen
-Reflect

Clefable one of the only status taker that doesn't require rest. dual screen and wish just feel so right together. This one supporters because that. wish can be passed around to froslass who gets rather weak quickly. seismic toss a reliable source of damage to anything omit ghost types.
Spr_4p_478.png

Froslass@bright powder
Ability: Snow Cloak
EVs: 244 HP / 12 def / 252 spd
Nature: Timid(+Spd -Atk)
-Thunder Wave
-Confuse Ray
-Spikes
-Substitute

I know what your thinking "BRIGHT POWDER wtf you noob" but this has been working out most of the time and gets spikes up. Parafusion adds to the evasion of Frolass and makes it easy to get spikes up. substitute stalls untill they miss and gets up some spikes.

This thing can stall nothing i've seen before. Making people miss and has tons of time and moves to waste waiting for you to die and or run out of moves. Frolass is also good for spin blocking.

Spr_4p_423E.png

Gastrodon@Leftovers
Ability: Sticky Hold
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpD
Nature: Bold (+Def -Atk)
-Stockpile
-Recover
-Earth Power
-Ice Beam

Gastrodon becomes near unbeatable with all 3 stockpiles up. Recover is a lot better then swallow for healing because it has constant 50% healing. Earth power has a wonderful new addition, earth power. It hits steel types such as Steelix harder then earthquake could.

Ice beam is the last move and hits grass types on switch ins. With stockpile helping it live long and good coverage makes it good in stalling out turns.

Meganium@Leftovers
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 216 HP / 148 Def / 144 SpA
Nature: Bold (+Def -Atk)
-Aromatherapy
-Energy Ball
-Leech Seed
-Reflect

Meganium is a very good supporter with Aromatherapy getting rid Toxic and status that hinder my teams ability to stall. Energy ball hits Luxray and Quagsire. Leech seed can heal Froslass while it has a sub up and helps damage with Toxic. Reflect can be a good way of supporting the team.

Spr_4d_344.png

Claydol@leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 114 SpA
Nature: Bold (+Def -Atk)
-Rapid Spin
-Stealth Rocks
-Shadow Ball
-Ice Beam

Best spinner in uu. Of course rapid spin is up there. Set up rocks while i spin there spikes away. ice beam for altaria who i've been seeing alot of recently. shadow ball for those ghost that want to keep there spikes up.

This team looks like it has all the components of stall, so I will just try to fix a few things:

First, I dont like the idea of setting up toxic spikes in UU, and especially not with the lead. Venusaur, Drapion, Muk, and Nidoqueen/king are all over the metagame to absorb your toxic spikes, so I find it easier to individually toxic key walls. I would use Froslass as your lead and scrap Venomoth entirely.

Wigglytuff- Did you miss Clefable? It can run this exact moveset with better stats. It can also serve as a status taker as i'm about to suggest ditching Meganium, just give it a flame orb.

Meganium- Isn't doing it for me. I would like a Venusaur here. Why? Its another fighting resist, which you cant have too many of in UU, and can shut down a specsVenusaur with its 4x resist to leaf storm.

Venusaur@ Leftovers
Ability:Overgrow
Ev's: 252 HP/252 SP. Def./ 4 Speed
Nature: Bold
Sleep Powder/Toxic
Leech Seed
Grass Knot
Sludge Bomb

This guy will definitley be a problem for your opponets team. I recommend toxic over sleep powder to break walls while leech seed can drain hp and cause switches, use the Stab moves to actually hurt stuff.

I like the Froslass, especially because it can easily grab wishes from Wigglytuff/Clefable

Gastrodon looks solid also.

Sandslash seems like a weak link also. I think Claydol is the best spinner in uu, being immune to spikes/toxic spikes and resisting stealth rock. Plus, its a rock/fighting resist. So I would put in

Claydol@ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Ev's: 252 HP/ 144 Def./114 Sp. A
Nature: Bold
Rapid Spin
Stealth Rock
Shadow Ball
Toxic/Ice Beam

A great poke to have in a utility role. He can spin, set up rock, threaten antispinners, and either counter altaria or break walls with venusaur via toxic.

In the last slot (because Venomoth is no more), I have to say a Steelix. It can take ghost/dark moves and is all around a sturdy poke. With Claydol Rocking you are free to phaze.

Steelix @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy (not like it matters which you have)
Ev's: 252 Hp/ 120 Attack/ 126 Sp. Def
Nature: Impish
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Roar
Toxic
While you can gyro ball in the last slot, I like toxic here as it frees up Claydol to shut down altaria with ice beam. This also stops swellow/absol/scyther from causing problems.

Overall a great team, just some changes in personel were needed, but you show you are knowledgable in building a stall team

There's 1 point i dont like about your changes, friar04:
3 Toxics. Ok Toxic is an awesome move (i LOVE it), but 3 id kinda much for me.
I would rather Ice Beam on claydol to get Altaria.

SLudge Bomb, IMO, is a waste of slot. somthing like Hp-Ice or, even better, HP-Rock, to get Flying and Fire switch-ins seems better, even if them both already suffer from SR

I said Latios117 could use toxic on steelix so Claydol could ice beam.

Pombo, you do have a point about say, hp rock for a ninetales switch in, but a Stab sludge bomb has base power 135, while a super effective HP has base power 140. Sludge Bomb also hits grass types trying to avoid leech seed. It also does significant damage to say, Vileplume who switches in trying to avoid both leech seed, AND toxic, WITH a 4x resist to grass knot. Up to personal preference I guess.

EDIT: Luxray?...I read the analysis and it says it can take hits so ok i guess. However, this isnt giving you anything Steelix can't. Steelix gives a crucial dark resist over a luxray that seems thrown in. Steelix can also phaze which should never be underated. Steelix resists the exact same types as well. I reiterate: Froslass lead with Steelix present. Also... an Aromatherapy Meganium is completely useless with a Flame Orb Clefable. You already have a dual screener so having a screen on two others is not practical. Venusaur>Meganium
