Okay. There's a problem when almost all of these Pokemon, who reasonably counter/check Chandelure (and Roserade, admittedly), are being used less than Ambipom, Claydol, Milotic, and Machamp. I can probably vouch for Claydol being a multi-purpose Pokemon, but Ambipom, Milotic, and Machamp are essentially unnecessary in UU, as multiple other Pokes of the same attribute and more outclass each of them.

Looks like my prediction for Heracross as #1 is coming true. Truth be told, nothing really counters him besides Gligar, Dusclops, and Cofagrigus. Your mileage may vary on how effective any of the three are in this current metagame.

I'm sad Qwilfish isn't higher up... Qwil is an excellent fighting and fire fire wall (especially against Heracross) that also spreads status, via TW, or has such ease with bulky tanks (usually Lax) on setting up spikes.

Hera doesn't really surprise me Moxie is such a dangerous ability on that thing so you're usually scrambling to make sure he doesn't get that first kill, with both his STABS hitting much harder along with a higher Atk than Dile. Another thing about Hera is with the rising popularity of Moxie distinguishing between Moxie and Guts is a serious pain. There are players out there that bluff Moxie inviting status, usually WoW, and you end up playing into that bluff quite easily and watch him demolish things with Facade or his STABS boosted by Guts :(.

This is the first UU meta in which Roserade is not the best all-around Pokemon, though Roserade is a defensible choice for #1. In my opinion, the best Pokemon in UU right now is:

This guy is the best late-game cleaner in the game, though it's not the best revenge killer. However, this guy's ability to sweep with fantastic coverage, nice power (resisted hits sometimes can 2KO), and Moxie make Heracross the best Pokemon in UU.

Flygon, the best revenger in UU. Flygon's a great revenge killer because he just does his job so consistently. Flygon is possibly the most dependable Pokemon in UU since he can run numerous sets (including some sweet trick sets), is resistant to or immune to EVERY hazard (read: holy fuck this guy can revenge kill without caring about hazards!), giving him huge upside over some other scarfers like Darmanitan and Victini. Also, since he's not shelling out all his HP switching in, Flygon can take a hit, sometimes two, if needed when the others can't. Furthermore, Flygon's Speed tier is the promised land of Base 100, meaning Heracross, Darmanitan, Chandelure, Nidoking, and Krookodile all fail to outspeed him and he gets a nice tie with Scarf Victini. This guy rules the revenge roost.

STOP USING FAKE OUT ON THIS THING NOW!!!!

Can SD pass, go mixed, hit like a truck, scout with u-turn, and get what is basically hazard immunity with a top-ten ability in Regenerator. He can even go with a mean Choice set. Mienshao is great is that he can't be worn down with conventional methods since it only needs to U-Turn to get itself back to high health. The only downside is that Mienshao's bulk doesn't let it take many hits.

Poor coverage, but give this thing some Spikes support and save him for the endgame and the opponent will have a tough time winning. Resisted hits and weak Hidden Powers are often enough if Spikes and the rest of the team can wear the opponent down.

top 17 in usage BANBANBAN. Nah, but seriously. This guy's a great mixed threat since it can either run a Dragon Dance sweeping set or just punch holes with Choice Specs. I'll tell you- Kingdra is nothing if not unique. What other Pokemon can run a Choice Specs set AND a Physical boosting set? Talk about element of surprise.

Great quick-fix for Fighting-weak teams. Possibly the most anti-metagame Pokemon in the business, especially the underrated Choice Band set. Of course, both sets are good. If you get headaches when the opponent sends out a Scrafty or Mienshao, take a look at Crobat on your team.

This Pokemon should be NU. It is not good in UU. I wonder if people in NU would even use this? I doubt anyone in RU would...

Trollgon2 is just wonderful, even with all the Fighting types around. Though Fighting-type s have a field day with Porygon2, Porygon2 has a field day with most everything else, including the dreaded Choice Specs Chandelure. If your team has little trouble with the formidable Fighters, then see if you can fit a Porygon2 onto your team. You'll rarely be disappointed.

This made me cry. Claydol is a top 25 Pokemon...in RU. In UU, this thing is garbage. It's not bulky, its typing sucks, it attacks are so bad they make Deoxys-D look like Rayquaza. You will not Spin against any Ghost, and there are better Pokemon to use SR with. You might think that SR+Spin is a great combo, but then look at it in practice. How often does Claydol use SR and get off a Spin in the same match? Rarely. And every time it does, how often does the opponent just use it as an opportunity to set up on you? Do not use this, it is not good.

Remember when Milotic was good? Yeah, it was four stages ago. Now, Electric types run this tier (and Fighters do too) and Milotic is often a liability. Try using Swampert here. You get better attacks, a better Phazing move, AND stealth rock! And Swampert can even kill Raikou!

It's just not bulky enough to do its job, but it can be a good option in the lead spot if the opponent chooses to lead with something bulky rather than something fast. Also it's a Spiker that beats Xatu, so maybe Froslass could be better here. It couldn't be much worse if you ask me...

Roserade deserves that #1 spot however I feel that Heracross will take that spot in coming time. You really need to pack something to handle Scarf MoxieCross and not let that die.

Also Ambipom is #23, why? It's garbage that's completely outclassed by MienShao and should be put into NU. I suppose good players use it so they can start the match off 5-6 to humiliate their opponent.

Flygon is at a reasonable spot as well though I feel more people need to try out the CB set. It's honestly a lot better then the Scarf set (which isn't awful by any means) if you predict well. MienShao and Scrafty are doing good, DDScrafty is a monster if played right. Also don't use Fake Out on MienShao, please don't ;_;

Also how in the hell is Kingdra #17? One of the best offensive threats in UU (along with Raikou/Chandulure) is dropping into the bottom #25? It's versatility combined with it's ability to setup on half of UU makes it's a major asset to any team. Makes me sad. Actually I have a theory about why Ambipom is so damn high. It is that UU is currently biased completely in favour of hyper offensive only due to some nukes like Chand/Nidoking who render balanced and stall teams near unviable.

Then after that when you consider the most offensive mons are scarved or sitting at 115 speed tier *cough*Raikou*cough* the best way to check them is smack them with a obscenely powerful Fake Out and run. This is something Mienshao can not do since its Fake Out does pittance damage.

Trollgon2 is just wonderful, even with all the Fighting types around. Though Fighting-type s have a field day with Porygon2, Porygon2 has a field day with most everything else, including the dreaded Choice Specs Chandelure. If your team has little trouble with the formidable Fighters, then see if you can fit a Porygon2 onto your team. You'll rarely be disappointed.

Only if you're running Trace Pory2 since Download Pory2 gets comfortably 2 hit by Specslure. Trace Pory2 tends to get walled and/or invite fighters easier as well but it certainly does it's job long as you have a specific one for it. I've also noticed Knock Off and Trick is becoming a lot more popular lately due to it's increased distribution and they tend to ruin sponges/walls.

Also how in the hell is Kingdra #17? One of the best offensive threats in UU (along with Raikou/Chandulure) is dropping into the bottom #25? It's versatility combined with it's ability to setup on half of UU makes it's a major asset to any team. Makes me sad. Because people severely overrate it's presence in the current game. Special set is much easier to check than his other sets and he is always vulnerable to constant neutral attack pressure. His DD set doesn't even outspeed Crobat and most scarvers like Hera after +1 and Ditto just messes you horribly if he catches you without a sub. Rain Dance set is basically inviting Roserade in.

UU is currently full of offense who can setup and still mess you up without setting up or Specs, Kingdra is simply good and all round in that respect but he has competition.

Okay. There's a problem when almost all of these Pokemon, who reasonably counter/check Chandelure (and Roserade, admittedly), are being used less than Ambipom, Claydol, Milotic, and Machamp. I can probably vouch for Claydol being a multi-purpose Pokemon, but Ambipom, Milotic, and Machamp are essentially unnecessary in UU, as multiple other Pokes of the same attribute and more outclass each of them.

Houndoom is the only one who counters Chandelure, only Bisharp checks him and the rest are 1-2 hit by Fire Blast whilst failing to kill Chand in regular scenarios.

Most of these guys have issues, Froslass is still a major troll but is mainly only used as a suicide setup. Pory-Z is kinda outclassed as a nuke and special attacker, Krook's been outclassed by Heracross as a Scarf user. Dusclop's just invites too many nasties in, Weavile and Sharpedo can't even get into the game most of the time. As a special attacker Mismagius is horribly outclassed, Bisharp is basically weak to 2 of the best offensive types in the whole of Gen 5.

And every time it does, how often does the opponent just use it as an opportunity to set up on you? Do not use this, it is not good.

Nobody said it was but it is a answer to hazards abeit a poor one.

Your only choices are to run hyper offensive so they never get the time to take effect, have god prediction w/ Xatu or Taunt on half your team. For the rest who don't do any of these you run Rapid Spin and your choices are the highly redundant bulky water Blastoise, a redundant fighter Hitmontop and a slightly broken clay pot.

This is vs just about everything and their mother who can throw out a hazard while still battering your face in.

HO is not the only viable playstyle. Using two special walls on a stall team is never a bad idea, and with two layers of spikes and SR Chandelure has very few times to come in(3 at the most)-while Heracross is easily countered by many common stall mons like Qwilfish and Cofagrigus. Sure, a stall breaker goes a long way in solving this, but stall teams are still hugely effective. Raikou and Kingdra are both very big threats that's for sure-but aren't uncounterable by any means-Raikou can often be countered by a common stall mon in Snorlax.

Also, why use Ambipom's Fake Out when you could use Scarf Mienshao's Hi Jump Kick? That is much more unexpected-and Mienshao is better in every way.

Very good to see that Blastoise is above Hitmontop now though. Blastoise is by far the best spinner in the tier-and now people are starting to realise that.

1. Ambipom is high for the same reason Evire was OU for a long time.
2. Mienshao does it better.
3. Stall is sure as hell viable because there are good utility walls in UU, an abundance of hazards with few spinners (who are all nonthreatening), and really good underrated walls. Check out my RMT on UU stall, it's VERY viable. Balanced is just as much so because a few walls give you pivots to abuse good offense.

Really unfortunate that there are so many good spikes users but not many commonly used spinners. The time may be right to construct a UU stall team.

Yes, but Blastoise beats all the common spinners. Mind you, stall has always been a very successful playstyle, and with all your hazards up then Blastoise is going to be taken down very quickly.
