UU Suspect Test Round 2 Voter Identification and Suspect Nominations

Confirming as wilson46. Editing in nominations later.

Snow Warning: In my opinion, is very overpowered in UU. The primary hail setter itself, Abomasnow, is actually useful in that it can fill specific roles on the team, such as a bulky SubSeeder, or an Offensive variant (unlike Sand Stream's Hippopotas who usually just sets up SR and doesn't do much else) . Leech Seed added with the hail negating any leftovers recovery can prove to be very deadly in play, especially when used on a hail stall team which is super annoying to face. Hail also activates abilities such as Snow Cloak, helping pokemon such as Froslass and Mamoswine immensely (Froslass with Substitute / Thunder Wave set, and it can just Spike on you in the process, and missing a move on Mamoswine can prove fatal as its massive attacks and strong STABs will hurt). Speaking of Froslass, missing against it while paralyzed and it constantly subbing on you is excruciatingly agitating. When you're trying to spin but you're also predicting Lass to come in to block, you click your strongest attacking move only to miss as it comes in... I just hate that. BlizzSpam is also a problem, as most teams just can't handle and / or don't have the resistances to handle the power of constant Blizzards coupled with dealing with the other attacks the team has.

Chansey: With monstrous defenses on both sides when equipped with Eviolite, this thing walls and tanks hits all day from basically anything. After that, it can proceed to outstall the opposing pokemon with a combination of Toxic, Wish / Protect or Softboiled. Speaking of wish, its massive HP stat allows it to pass on full wishes to its teammates, which is an insane support option. It can also use Aromatherapy to heal up any status the team might have, or set up SR as well. Very few pokemon can set up on this thing without being hurt by status or still end up being walled.

Wobbuffet: The utility beast, this thing can actually cause a lot of trouble despite its obvious movepool limitation and small usage in Round 1. Its bulkier set allows it to fare well against offensive teams, as Choice users locked into weaker moves are immediately destroyed once Wobb comes in. Weaker offensive pokemon in general are also eliminated by its Counter and Mirror Coat. However, that's only a small part of Wobb's usefulness. With Encore, Tickle, and investment in Speed, this allows Wobb to trap and eliminate any wall or tank it wants too (aided by its Speed and a Pursuit user). This makes stall crumble with Wobb around, and its overall utility is just too much to handle.

Confirming as SilentVerse.

Wobbuffet - He basically guarantees a KO against Choice users, and even non-choiced ones suffer since any attempt to set up or play around him is ruined by Encore. Walls are utterly decimated by Tickle + Encore alongside something like Dugtrio, and "fast" Wobb outspeeds enough walls with some investment. Either of these two events will result in a huge hole in the opposing team, which gives a big opportunity for a sweeper such as Raikou to rip through the opponent's team. I firmly believe that Wobbuffet simply creates exploitable holes in even well made teams way too easily, making him unhealthy for the metagame.

Espeon - Espeon is an absurdly good Baton Pass recipient, with Magic Bounce blocking conventional means of dealing with Baton Pass such as Roar. Furthermore, Espeon has STAB Stored Power, which becomes ridiculous once passed a few boosts and more than capable of sweeping. To top it all off, Espeon can use Baton Pass herself, which allows her to keep Baton Pass chains going, and allow another Pokemon to sweep in her stead. Espeon basically makes the only feasible way of dealing with Baton Pass Haze, which has mediocre distribution. Being forced to run a single move on every team or risk losing to Baton Pass, bar luck, is not good for the metagame; thus, Espeon needs to be banned.

Here's what I think needs to go...

Wobbuffet- It can pretty much guarantee a kill or easy setup against walls after tickling them. He's pretty underrated but imo he's still a ridiculous pokemon to deal with coupled with solid bulk too.

Smeargle- still one of the best baton passers and he can easily spore the opponent so it's pretty much as if he already defeated a pokemon and spore has a ridiculous 100 accuracy, he can also set up spikes or start a baton pass chain.

Espeon- Immune to status and the whole reason why baton passing is broken in the first place. He's also pretty bulky special wise and his magic bounce can cause all sorts of mayhem.

Snow Warning- in OU hail is regarded as the worst weather, but UU is a completely different playing field. Even taking into account the fact that Kyurem no longer exists in UU, hail is still a deadly weather that many people dread. trying to break through stallrein, or having to deal with blizzard spammers and ridiculous snow cloak hax. Hail is a destructive force in UU

Snow Warning: Makes hail teams far too powerful. Snow Warning makes Walrein and Froslass very difficult to kill, with Froslass evading much of what you attack it with due to Snow Cloak, and Walrein's ability Ice Body. As well, Snow Warning increases the accuracy of Blizzard to 100%, which allows hail teams to use "blizzspam" to create offensive pressure that regular stall teams can't.

Froslass is the only part of Hail that can be even considered broken. What Froslass does, as we all know is give easy Spikes. Snow Cloak simply pushes Froslass over the edge turning Froslass's easy spikes into Almost free Spikes, with Snow Cloak and Thunder Wave. Anything immune to Thunder Wave (bar Jolteon) gets their shit wrecked by Blizzard. You cant Spin, because, not only is Froslass a Ghost type, and blocks her own spins, she sets up all over Hitmontop and scares the crap out of Donphan, the two most common spinners in the tier. Lesser used spinners, such as Claydol, Crygonal and Blastoise don't do any better of a job. Spikes also combine incredibly efectively with BlizzSpam. Most of the Pokemon who are immune to spikes, are Flying, and weak to Blizzard. In fact, the only Pokemon, immune to Spikes and resisting ice are Bronzor, Rotom-Freezer (w/e the letter on that is) and Crygonal.

All this makes Froslass an excellent Spiker and makes Spikes excellent on Hail teams. What pushes Froslass over the edge on Hail teams, is the fact that Snow Cloak+Paralysis gives her free Spikes 40% of the time. At least. This jumps to 52% for Pokemon using Stone Edge, 49% for Pokemon using Fire Blast, and 46% for Pokemon using Rock Slide. (With Froslass being weak to all these attacks, it is not a stretch to say that she will be facing them often) The fact is that this makes putting those Spikes on the field ridiculously easy; Froslass can get up a layer a game no problem and three with minimal stalling and luck. It turns hail into a huge threat, because its just about guaranteed that every Pokemon is losing a quarter of their health on the switch in.

Plus banning Abilities (Snow Cloak) is dumb.

Wobbuffet, Chansey, Espeon, Smeargle, SmasPass Repeal
should also be nominated, but I'll get to them later.

My nominations (copied from my paragraphs):

Staraptor-
Staraptor's offensive power is astonishing. Its Choice Band set posseses the ability to 2hko almost every major physical wall in the tier with just its Reckless-boosted STAB. If that weren't enough, it also gets a coverage option in Close Combat to hit almost everything that resists its main STAB for super-effective damage. And finally, its coverage is rounded out by another incredibly powerful secondary STAB in Double-Edge, preventing Zapdos or other bulky electric types from walling it. If all that weren't enough, Staraptor also has access to U-Turn, to gain momentum and weaken the very few checks it has in the tier.
In addition, Staraptor is capable of running a Choice Scarf set. While this set is not as powerful as the Choice Band set, it is still very powerful (capable of 2hkoing Slowbro, for reference) and is capable of completely demolishing an offensive team with very little support due to its speed and coverage.
Ultimately, Staraptor is much too effective against all playstyles with little team support to be considered balanced in UU.

Chansey- Chansey failed to receive a majority vote the last time it was nominated. However, since then, two of Chansey's major checks have been banned: many Kyurem sets and almost all Drought sweepers treated Chansey as set up bait. Since it is no longer as easy to punish Chansey, it is now even more dominant than it was previously. Moreover, many of its current checks (such as staraptor, mew, wobbuffet) are considered by some to be imbalanced in the metagame themselves. If these suspects are banned, Chansey will have very few viable checks left in the metagame.
In general, Chansey's excellent mixed walling capabilities and its myriad of support options are what make it imbalanced. It embodies the very essence of the defensive characteristic, capable of stalling out nearly every special attacker and even a majority of physical attackers with no team support; in fact, it supports its team in turn. Its access to both Toxic and Thunder Wave also makes setting up on it a very risky venture, especially considering that it will easily tank any non-boosted attacks that aren't named Close Combat.

I would also like to support an Espeon and Froslass nomination.

I've already sent a special application. Nominating:

Wobbuffet: Shadow Tag is absurdly broken. It can come in and automatically kill every scarfed pokemon in the game (unless if it's a dark pokemon with special moves). Not only that, it also defeat walls with Encore + Tickle + Pursuitter, opening way for another sweeper.

Abomasnow: Hail is brutal in UU, given that the only other weather inducer, Hippopotas, is completely destroyed by Ice/Grass attacks. It also makes pokemon like StallRein become ridiculously hard to break through, as well as allowing pokemon to abuse Blizzard. Snow Cloak hax is also annoying as hell.

Espeon: Most especifically Magic Bounce. Espeon itself isn't broken, the problem is that baton chains are abusing it to become almost unbeatable, since Espeon deflects phazing moves. Also, it isn't a bad pokemon on its own, given its good stats and good movepool.

Sorry for the delay. As most of you probably know, I was at Nationals and LN was too busy so when I settle in tomorrow after my flight I'll get the voting topic up.
