Hello UUFL Friends it's time for some predicts!

Azelf on the Shelf (1) vs (1) Diancie is Unbreakable
SV: Colin vs yiyueweiming: This series will most likely come down to this game. I don't really favor either party tho Colin hasn't been playing SV this tour in which they opted to play SM. Both teams have the exact same overall SV record so can't really predict where the wind takes the leaf here but whatever happens it's gonna be close.
DPP: Heysup vs Django: I love django (power to you in DPPPL), but heysup is one of 2 undefeated slots in the entire tour. It's very hard to predict against him.
GSC: betathunder vs DAWNBUSTER : Dawn has like 4x the wins then azelf's entire gsc slot, can't really bold against him here.

Silicobra Kais (1) vs (1) Gilderoy Lokix
SV: Tuthur vs kitoothe: Very very close game here. It's worth pointing out here though that tuthur gave kitoothe their only lost of the entire tour. I don't think however it matters too much considering that they are both very great players. I will however bold Kitoothe here because I don't think one lost will set them back.
SV Ubers UU: Celeste vs Shadow079: UUbers bestie celeste is doing great this tour and doesn't look like they'll let the team down here.
ADV: LBN vs Hydronics: This game decides the series. I like both players here and they are (in this tour) 1-1 with each other. I think this comes down to how many risks each person is willing to take in the builder and the actual game. Good luck to both and don't disappoint me.

Sometimes in life, it's hard to see the good things through the bad—because the good things aren't always easy to spot. Sometimes, they're the tiniest, relatively insignificant ones: the people you meet, the relationships you build, the friendships you foster, the fun you have (sometimes, all via a little tour with no prize on a Pokémon sub-forum). So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you, everyone, for five amazing UUFPLs.

Before I do individual shoutouts, I just want to acknowledge that this season was not a failure. Sure, we lost—and yeah, that sucks. But look at what we did. We started out ranked 8th in the PRs, with basically our entire draft criticized. We went on to win our first two weeks, then lose two weeks (to two playoff teams). Then we locked in and clutched up for my fourth playoff appearance in this tours history. I am so proud of everyone on this team and grateful for drafting ya'll. Regardless of records, contributions, etc., the vibes were good, everyone helped, and this tour was a blast.

Now, time for shoutouts, in relatively no particular order.

Taka - I appreciate you agreeing to manage with me. You recommended I draft players that contributed heavily to the team and who we could not have qualified for playoffs without. You helped out when I needed to and always kept up good vibes.

vivalospride - Aside from me, obviously, you were the backbone of this team. You prepped almost every tier, and your assistance was invaluable. You may not have had the best season, but as I told you at one point, the support you provided was far more valuable than winning any games. We couldn't have gotten here without you.

Heysup - You remain one of my favorite people on this site. You're also the best DPP and ADV UU player and there is no debate (sorry Fatty). You went 8-1 and assisted ADV the entire season even though you're busy as hell.

Theycallmephil - I do not regret drafting you. You had a really rough tour, but your effort, commitment, and positive attitude remained strong throughout. Your record does not reflect your skill level (mostly because you experienced ungodly amounts of bullshit). I'm glad I got to know you and hope we can team many times in the future.

betathunder - I'll shoutout viv for recommending you because I literally did not know who you were. You were one of the centers of this teams good vibes. You were highly active, positive, unhinged, funny, and really added to the team synergy. You also had a great record in a tier you'd never played before. You learned, improved, and should have gotten the best ORAS award if you could've been less unlucky in a game or two.

Colin - You were locked into my draft plan and I would have paid all my money for you. You're one of the most intelligent Pokemon players I've met. You see the game in an incredible light, and are fantastic in all tiers you play. Thank you for your activity and efforts, and also for being a friend. You're going to qualify for Slam and kick ass.

Scarlet Firefly - When I drafted you, I said you'd start. Then I changed my mind and benched you. You did not care. You remained active, despite your timezone, and incredibly devoted to assisting the team in winning. Your vibes were also phenomenal. You were constantly mature, intelligent, and kind. You managed to learn two different tiers throughout this tour and ended 2-2. You played games when you needed to, and were critical to our success. You deserve to be drafted in all future UU tours. I hope you remain involved in the community.

Finchely - You were one of the most extensive preppers in this this tour and it showed. I greatly appreciated your work ethic throughout this tour. Even after some rough weeks, I never lost faith in you because I saw how strong of a player you were.

Jojen - Holy fuck bro. They doubted you because you're not a mainer. Then you went on to beat mainers, in dominant fashion. You never prepped or tested, much, but you still won game after game. You're a dominant player and we're very lucky we got you for such a low price. We could not have gotten this far without your consistency.

sealoo - You are a much better player than your record. You got bad matchups and bad luck throughout the tour but never ceased to play well. And, you brought us to tie break. You won when you needed to, and that's all that matters.

Mik3ymon - I appreciate your willingness to be thrown into different tiers and your consistent positive attitude. You're a good player. There's a lot of room to improve and learn from this tour. I hope to see you sign up again next year.

Goro Yagami - You popped off this tour. I think you've improved so much as a player and should be drafted in UUPL. Shoutout Taka for not knowing your record and assuming you weren't doing well until I told him you're 4-2 and he went "Keep bro in NVM" LOL!

Nashrock - I know you're a really solid player so I'm sorry I never got you in to the line up. Thanks for never complaining about that.

Gallinova - Sorry for your rough season. You had really bad hax throughout this tour, but I appreciate you sticking with us and staying involved in prep.

BlackKnight_Gawain - Thanks for all your activity and a solid season in a pretty horrid gen (my opinion). You dealt with some unfortunate hax but kept your head up.

Prep Help Shoutouts:

Mozonite Pak Potatochan DD Joe Estarossa

Ya'll were very very influential in your respective tiers helping us prep. You had absolutely no obligation to help, but you did anyways. Thank you!

UUFPL has been a big part of my contributions to this site. Every year that passes makes "my last UUFPL" more likely I hope to see you all again next year, but who knows.

One last time: RAHHHHHHH GO AZELFS!!!

The Final Games ended not with glory, but with grief. Silicobra Kai fell with defiance in their eyes, refusing to kneel even as the sands claimed them. Azelf on the Shelf never emerged from the Psychic Fog Arena, lost to the void, or perhaps choosing it over what lay ahead. Only two stood at the end: Gilderoy Lokix, bleeding from a dozen tricks turned traps, still smiling through the pain. And Diancie is Unbreakable, cracked but luminous, a diamond forged in rebellion’s flame.

The stage was already rebuilt eerily fast. Too fast. The banners above it read not “Unity”, but “Honor Through Sacrifice.” Luigi Coin stood at the podium again. Not in mourning, but in triumph:

"Pan-UU!" he bellowed. "Let history record this moment. Let it know that from ashes, we forged perfection. These final tributes - these final battles - have shown us the cost of peace. And the value of order."

Gilderoy and Diancie stood silent behind him, catching the carefully placed cameras, the way the light was angled to crown Coin in gold. It felt wrong. Like déjà vu of another Capitol. Another stage. Another speech. And then Catnip Lilydeen stepped forward. No fire this time. No stormclouds or Talonflame cries. Just quiet, absolute clarity.

“I’ve heard this speech before,” she said. “Different face. Same lie.”

1748757687246.png
Luigi turned, almost bored. “You again. Still clinging to martyrdom?”

1748757710556.png
“No,” Catnip said. “Just history.” The crowd grew still. Catnip’s voice sharpened. “There was another Coin once. Another ‘protector.’ Another one who thought peace was something you could script if you just controlled the players. She ordered a final Hunger Games too. Do you remember what happened to her?” Luigi’s expression flickered. “She died,” Catnip answered for him. “Not because she was the villain. But because she was about to become the next one.”

1748757687246.png
Luigi stepped forward, face cracking with disdain. “You think this is about me? You think I want power? I gave this nation structure! I gave the Districts peace!”

1748757710556.png
“You gave them cages,” Catnip said. “They just had velvet walls this time.” He moved to speak again but Catnip was already raising the Beast Ball. Not in fury, but in sorrow. “Goodbye, President Coin.” The ball flew. The flash of light caught him mid-word. There was no scream. Just a shimmer, and silence. Like history swallowing its own mistake.

Silence.

Catnip lowered her arm. And for a long moment, no one moved. Then the Diancies stepped forward. “It’s over?”

“No,” said Catnip, eyes wet, looking over at Lokix as well. “Now it begins....."
