This thread will be used to communicate decisions and announcements pertaining to UWL III.

The tiers for UWL III will be:

• SV Ubers x6
• SS Ubers x2
• SM Ubers x2
• ORAS Ubers x2
• BW Ubers x2
• DPP Ubers
• DPP Ubers + Farceus (contingent on signups, replaced with a 2nd DPP Ubers slot if there aren't enough)
• ADV Ubers x2
• GSC Ubers x2
• RBY Ubers x2
• Best Of Three (SV / SS / SM)
• Best Of Three (ORAS / BW / DPP)

General Information:

• Each team will be required to have 24 players and 6 substitutes for a minimum player count of 30.
• Managers will start with a 300k budget.
• Managers and Assistant Managers may self-purchase for 30,000 credits each, with a limit of two playing Managers per team.
• The maximum number of players on a team is 42.
• Due to this being a new format, there will be no retains.

re: Manager Selection

While managers were being selected, a miscommunication occurred between the hosting team and mod team. Due to this miscommunication, the manager selection process was mishandled. As a result, the managers for UWL III will be adjusted to:

Skymin Flyers: Thor + Perry + Raph369
TBD: Icemaster + Fc + TrueNora
TBD: skimmythegod + Taka + Ainzcrad

I apologize to the Norwood NDMs for the inconvenience; there were too many qualified manager teams and not enough spots.

re: Tiebreak format

Any potential tiebreaks will be played in a best of 5 format, with each team choosing 2 tiers and the final slot being locked to SV.

The auction will take place on Sunday, January 19th at 1 PM GMT-5, with player signups closing 24 hours beforehand.

After an internal discussion between PS admins and the active Room Owners of Ubers, this tour will now be rewarding a custom avatar to the winning team!
This is in line with the new policy that allows for each PS room to give out up to 3 custom avatars each year.

Re: Cam vs vxr and Alice Kazumi

vxr failed to show up to their scheduled match with Cam. As a result the Golden Gambits team were pinged for a substitute. The substitute Alice Kazumi was not eligible to play the featured format, as no legal substitute was provided by the gambits within the Smogon substitution timeframe of 30 minutes Cam will receive the activity win and the matchup between Cam vs Alice Kazumi will be invalidated.
