Vaporeon has quickly risen to become one of the premier defensive options in the NU metagame. Functioning as a cleric and a soft check to many otherwise threatening Pokemon such as Blastoise and Salazzle, it can fit onto many teams thanks to its Wishes healing up its teammates by an immense amount. Toxic is useful for crippling would-be switch-ins such as Mantine, Rotom-C, and Kingdra, but it lacks the overall utility of Heal Bell. Useful teammates for Vaporeon include Fighting-resistant Pokemon such as Talonflame and Weezing, which can also check opposing Grass-types that would threaten Vaporeon like Dhelmise and Swords Dance Decidueye; in return, Vaporeon can grant cleric and Wish support, which is heavily appreciated. A Stealth Rock setter such as Bronzong, Copperajah, or Mudsdale appreciates the support Vaporeon provides via Wish and checking Fire-types, while they are able to stomach Dragon-type hits from Dragalge and Choice Band Guzzlord. change the spread to 252 hp / 240 def / 16 spdef with a calm nature; this lets you check shell smash blastoise a good bit more reliably

"A Steel-type such as Bronzong or Copperjah also appreciate the support Vaporeon provides via Wish and checking Fire-types, while they are able to stomach Dragon-type hits from Dragalge and Goodra." change this sentence to just "stealth rock setters" and include Mudsdale. obv this makes the point about taking hits from Dragon-types less relevant, but you could change Goodra to CB Guzzlord and reword the sentence a bit to retain the idea ig
