I do think a draft / tournament follow up would be very fun, but in the meantime I also just want to run more games of this format, and I'm not quite sure of the best way to do that. I can try just loitering on dh2 a bit more I suppose, but in the meantime I'll also accept DMs if anyone wants to run games.

Also, Stormulex is a direct port-over from Clubmons, right?
It's actually from Ma'adowr where it originally comes from.

Flavor: Solastor and Lullux are Pokémon made out of the essence of the stars, stemming from the same evolutionary tree as Lunatone and Solrock. Solastor is based off Castor and the sun, and radiates a thousand degrees of solar energy per second, spreading it to all of those in need. When it reaches half health, however, it loses control of itself and becomes a giant star eater, obsessed with consuming solar power to fuel its own attacks. It's said that if you see a Solastor in the bright sky, the rest of the day will have clear skies.
Role: Powerful sweeper that gets even stronger at half health. Can help fry Grass and Bug-types, and can also fit into Sun-based teams with it's ability to set up the sun.

Flavor: Lullux is based off Pollux and the moon, and is a calm individual that likes nothing more than to gaze out at the stars, especially at the night sky. When it reaches half health, it becomes a giant moon that rests all day, building up it's energy to surround the night sky in a bright blue aurora that is cooler than any known material. It's said that if you see a Lullux in the darkest night, it is a sign that the skies are clear enough to see the stars.
Role: A rather unique wall that can set up Rain to support other Pokémon.
Plus, for the first time ever, I am nominating an older Pokémon to return...

We need a returning regional bird, and a good way to counter Wizareetin. Pidgeot is immune to Conductive Spell and Ghost-type moves, and has access to Roost and Tailwind. It will also be getting +20 to Attack to make it a lot stronger against Pokémon with low defence, as well as access to Scorching Sands, Earth Power, and Bulldoze!

Genuine_Angus_B33F and I had a few games to explore the new metagame. Our teams are far from being optimized, but it was nice to get some new insight.

- Game 1 + 2:

- Game 3, 4 + 5:

First impressions.
- Sneasler, as expected, looks quite strong in the new metagame. So, it will be useful to have Psychic, Ground, and Flying Pokémon around just to deal with it. This PetMod has no shortage of options, such as Meowscarada-Rift, Intestinorm or Magikite, among others. Did you know an Electric Pokémon like Zebsonavolt can also take it out with Reverbaration and its mini Earthquake? And ofc, there are plenty Ghost Pokémon to check it, like Wizareetin, especially if it lacks Throat Chop. For now, I don't think we have anything to worry about, just be aware of its rise in the metagame.
- Intestinorm had a good performance in the matches. I wouldn't be surprised if, in the near future, people were to run Wide Guard to shut down its main source of strength: lowering stats with spread moves. Wide Guard is also useful to handle other spread moves, such as Rock Slide or Earthquake coming from Stontank or Cemmetar. I'm very curious to see how Intestinorm will adapt to this tech. That said, stuff like Clear Body, Shield Dust, Defiant, Clear Amulet, or Covert Cloak can also help to make Archetype less potent. Moreover, since Intestinorm requires some turns to finally exert some pressure, and its Earth Power is usually the only nuke option, it will be interesting to see how it will handle aggressive teams. In any case, Intestinorm looks very viable, flexible, and useful as you can see in the games. It will likely be often paired with Sneasler to activate the latter's Unburden. I'm sure there are other options, such as Discharge Wizareetin or Earthquake Cemmetar.
- Speaking of Cemmetar, it looks very promising. I had a lot of fun with Choice Scarf to exert pressure. While it's really frail, it does good damage. Considering its dual Rock/Ground type, it's no wonder how effective this Pokémon can be. I like it quite a lot, especially since the metagame doesn't really have any notable Choice Scarf users. More move options, perhaps support oriented ones, could be neat to make it a little bit more flexible.
- Ledellar is another promising candidate. Defiant is huge, making it more difficult for the opponent to keep it in check. Fake Out is great as well as its other support options, like Tailwind or Encore. As it's another Fighting Pokémon in the metagame, I can already see the positive effect of Keisberg's nerf. Let's hope it wasn't too much of a nerf. x) Ledellar pairs phenomally well with Cemmetar and Zebsonavolt due to their offensive and defensive synergy. This already underlines how important certain Pokémon are in the metagame, like the aforementioned Cemmetar and Wizareetin, who greatly synergize with many different Pokémon,, making teambuilding easier and more flexible.
- On the topic of Wizareetin, it continues to surprise me with its versatility. I forgot it had access to screens. As a Ghost, it's naturally immune to Fake Out, making it very useful to have around.
- After Keisberg's nerf, I can see Fighting Pokémon rising in this format. So, that makes Matokoda useful and important in particular. It's a Ghost with Rage Powder and Friend Guard. Thanks to its presence, Pokémon weak to Fighting can still survive in a metagame about to be infested by Fighting Pokémon. In general, though, Matokoda's qualities are useful. I would not be surprised to see it featured on more teams. Keisberg will appreciate it in particular.
- Moving on, it was quite nice to see more usage of Illophyr; its conditional Tailwind ability should make you wary of its comeback potential for the team, similar to Supreme Overlord Kingambit in Singles. While the replays showed Illophyr's great support utility, I can see a more offensive approach also be viable. Between Intestinorm, Metagross-Prime, Volbeat/Illumise, Ledellar, Scizor, Orbeetle, and Illophyr, Bug Pokémon look quite potent in the metagame. I have no thoughts on Escavalier and Golisopod yet. They seem more useful on Trick Room and have yet to be explored. I realize Trick Room teams have no slow Bug Pokémon with a focus on special attack. So, that's something that can be explored in a submission or nommination for returning Pokémon. That said, I think there's a custom Bug/Rock Pokémon in the format which hasn't seen any usage yet. I'm not surprised since, between Stontank and Cemmetar, it feels outclassed, for the most part. It is somewhat bulky, though, and has Rage Powder. Let's see if those qualities are enough to give it a niche. If not, perhaps, a buff might be necessary.
- Anyway, I noticed there were some oversights, like Air Cannon being a spread move when it's not supposed to be or Mantis Fist not hitting twice. I'll update it quickly. If there are any other oversights, let me know.

I can see it running Life Orb + 3 attacks sets, Choice Scarf sets, maybe even SD (though it will struggle against opposing Fire types)
Is it broken? Terrible defensive typing coupled with mediocre bulk makes it easy to KO, and it wishes it could run multiple items. Without Sash, it's easy to KO, without Life Orb its damage output isn't that good, and without Scarf faster Pokemon can revenge kill it without much trouble.

Description: Cashatrew is an offensive or supportive mon that uses Sun to use Chlorophyll, Synthesis, & Growth to sweep with 103/85 offenses pre-Chlorophyll; or it can use Prankster with Disable, Synthesis, Wide Guard, and Wisp to shut down threats with 80/100/97 bulk. Shell Sight disables the STABs of its targets and makes them slower while also being susceptible to its Grass moves. The -1 priority on the move gets partially dealt with with 85 speed and prankster for neutral priority.

Flavor Context Together: Cashatrew and Possmortem have very little similarities but both relate to each other in their medieval-ish origin. I like to imagine there being a sub-plot in the games where you help out a Possmortem and Cashatrew who are buddies with a problem and have the chance to catch one.

Is it broken? Between it’s low Speed and hit-or-miss defensive type, an Ice-type like this can be easily crippled by these issues outside of Trick Room, and without Brick Break or Fighting-type assistance, any Steel-type Pokémon can block most of it’s attacks for days.

Competitive use: Another Ice Pokémon that can act as a status absorber with Poison Heal, but it can instead go for more offense with Technician for extra boost on Frost Breath and Parabolic Charge into deadly STAB and recovery respectively, or Vacuum Wave for an unorthodox revenge killing tool. Frost Breath alone reaches 135 after Technician and crit boosts, making it deadly to those not resistant to Ice. Can set up Spikes, Toxic or Taunt if needed.
Is it broken? Even with Sturdy, Kolbolt have some mediocre bulk at best, and cannot afford switching into Ground STAB or coverage. While BoltBeam STAB is fantastic to have, 102 Special Attack leave it little firepower compared to other offense oriented Ice Pokémon unless running Technician Frost Breath, which can miss due to 90% Accuracy and can be costly at critical moments if it misses.

Ubertrainer2000. I'm a little bit concerned about Follow Me on such a bulky Pokémon as Lullux. Water/Flying is also great defensively, which makes it more difficult to take it down. Furthermore, it already steps on the niches that some of our Rage Powder users (like Ariados, Tangela or Matokoda) provide--such as Fighting or Ground resistance / immunity. Therefore, I'd advise to remove this move. Moving on, choosing Pidgeot and underlining its role as a Tailwind user is a great idea, especially with Wizareetin running around. However, I'm not sure if that is enough as Pidgeot needs to be useful enough by itself to justify a place on a team, outside of soft walling Wizareetin. The latter could still run Volt Switch to get around it, though. Perhaps, you could think about tools that would make Pidgeot more worthwhile.

Swarming Strike. I've been thinking about this move for a while. Currently, it does 30 damage + 30 more for each other Bug Pokémon on the player's team. I wonder if we could start with base 60 damage and add +20 more for each other Bug Pokémon instead? That way, loosing a Bug ally wouldn't be too detrimental?

Samtendo09. Perhaps, you could add Electric Terrain to Kolbolt for more options, especially if Sleep becomes more dominant.

I assume that if Politoed makes it in, Poliwrath will also be added.

I don't think it's a good idea to make Cemmetar even more potent. Rock/Ground is already excellent offensively, and base 135 Atk makes this combo even more appealing. Adding Bullet Seed and Bone Rush would incentivize a player to run Skill Link even more already, making its other ability options less worthwhile to pursue. Parting Shot, I'm not a fan of as it makes Cemmetar more difficult to handle than it already is. Since Cemmetar seems Ghost coded--I assume it's based on a cemmetery--, I could see support moves to emphasize this more, such as Curse, Memento, Imprison, Trick, etc. Rototiller, Scary Face or Grassy Terrain could also be added if they make sense.

On a different note, I forgot to talk about Delcatty. Its Normalize ability got buffed here, boosting Normal moves by 50%. I did some calcs and was wondering if we could add +10 Atk and 10 Def, which would then result in base 75 Atk / Def. This small boost would allow Delcatty to put more pressure with Fake Out and Sucker Punch. The latter would be as strong as Kingambit's Sucker Punch basically. Choice Band or Helping Hand would allow Delcatty to take out Sneasler with Sucker Punch. I think it would be quite funny and make people consider Delcatty a Pokémon that threatens with paralysis (Normal type Thunder Wave) and priority moves. +10 Def is more a number thing. Currently, Delcatty's stats look like this:

Adding +10 Atk and Def would maintain this approach.
 
I noticed that the BST limit for this slate was 520. So, I changed my subs accordingly. Caulúin, in particular, received a design change to better reflect its flavour aspect of being a double-edged sword (or lance in that case) on the competitive field while also promoting status interactions. I quite like how some people here tried to enable that more, and I figured I could do the same. Doing so would allow Caulúin to contrast Stormulex's regenerative powers even more.

On another note, DH has been recently updated. So, it's now possible to play with the new version of PalpitoadChamp's Passive Aggressive. With his permission, I slightly modified the summoning Sound move which can now hit all opposing Pokémon. This is important to note because it removes the random factor of the move and makes it more consistent and worthwhile for the player to use. You do waste a turn setting up Passive Aggressive, after all.

I've also corrected Hattlock's Gastro Acid and Valoseus's HP stat (it used to be base 105 HP when Reuniclus actually has base 110 HP), provided a more fitting short description for Meditate, and added Kangashkan's movepool. It was most likely the last dexited Pokémon.
 
This time, I'd like to talk about the first impressions I had when facing sugarbear today. Our games were quite enlightening.
- For instance, sugarbear had the brilliant idea of running Choice Scarf Intestinorm which could pivot out by clicking Shed Tail or clean lategame with--would you guess it--Struggle Bug of all things. That was a very scary experience; I never thought I'd be scared of Choice Scarf Struggle Bug. x)
What a versatile Pokémon. It's cool to see innovations here and there.
- Golisopod was another huge surprise. I thought for sure it was more suited for Trick Room or could run Assault Vest to support the team but no, it can perform well even outside of Trick Room. Honey + Swords Dance turns Golisopod into a very scary attacker. It's not exactly easy to remove from the field given its good defensive typing and great bulk. Moreover, it has Aqua Jet to threaten weakened targets and Leech Life to keep itself healthier. It's quite unique in that role, I think. That said, in one game, it had a weird interaction with its ability where it did less than expected against Conotox. I think I figured out the reason. Golisopod's Aqua Jet was meant to target Conotox's ally, I think. So, the ability probably only tried to remove the potential Protect effect from the intended target but as Conotox had clicked a protective move the previous turn and then clicked Follow Me, the ability no longer removed the potential effect from Conotox because it only and already checked it for the intended target (Conotox's ally). That could explain why Aqua Jet suddenly did less than expected. I'll try to see what I could do to get around this very specific scenario...
- Moving on, I mentioned how effective Honey was on Golisopod. Well, if you ever want to try it out on Accelgor, don't bother unless you are obsessed with Speed. That's because when the Unburden Bug Pokémon consumes the item, it first doubles the user's speed and then applies the stat boost afterwards. So, this would always result in a speed boost. Now that I'm thinking about it, this could be very interesting on a Speed Boost Bug Pokémon. You could also experiment with Acrobatics, but I'm not sure if there are any canon Bug Pokémon who would actually run Acrobatics.
- Matokoda and Conotox were useful as I expected; redirecting is just that good. Conotox has a very healthy impact on the teambuilder by ensuring Grass and Bug Pokémon can't pressure too easily Pokémon that are weak to either type combination and that try to set-up Tailwind or Trick Room, for instance. Though, I would not be surprised if players were to run both of them on the same team since set-up Pokémon would really love their presence. In the (near) future, it might not be a bad idea to have a Stalwart or Propeller Tail user or even just an Unaware user for more diversity.
- Snorlax is as scary as ever... but manageable so far. Really crazy what some buffs can do to raise its viability.
- Speaking of viability, I've been pleasantly surprised by Zebsonavolt, the final evolution of Zebstrika. Inflammation + Reverberation + coverage is a great combination to keep in check certain physical attackers. In general, this metagame is overrun by physical attackers, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I recall sugarbear mentioning their desire to have a more physical oriented metagame. I assume it's because some "official" metagames tend to be more specially inclined, such as gen 7 or gen 9. So, I wonder if our Intimidate options are good enough to ensure these physical threats won't overwhelm the metagame too easily. At the very least, there's Zebsonavolt as an alternative option to check physical attackers, especially considering what a crazy amount of anti Intimidate options we have.
- Like Snorlax, Magikite is still scary but much more tolerable now.
- As for Keisberg, I'm not quite sure. It definitely feels balanced given how easy it is to run a Fighting move to handle it but I sure hope that support Pokémon like Matokoda or Conotox are sufficient enough to enable it even in the face of Fighting Pokémon. Time will tell.

Today, I've got another report. Sugarbear and I explored some of the unused Pokémon of the metagame: Ahimstalag and Hattlock. I haven't made my mind on the former yet since it seemed to have a rough match-up. If it needs a buff, adding Power Trip or Stored Power could be an option. As for the latter, it was fairly impressive. Hattlock was resilient on the physical side, which was further supported with Coaching. Simple really allows this Pokémon to accumulate lots of boosts, especially with Trailblaze. Once you have enough, you can click Power Trip or Earthquake. The latter is a useful move to have to pressure several Pokémon at once.

Set up strategies certainly feel still strong in the metagame; it's sth people will need to prepare if they don't want to get overwhelmed. I took a look at the builder. Stuff like Illophyr and Gengar have Haze! So, that's one way to handle set-up sets. The former comes with good speed control, the latter will likely run Focus Sash and can punish physical attackers with Toxic Debris. In the future, I could see Unaware Pokémon being added, such as Skeledirge which seems very strong into many of the set-up monsters, like Snorlax or Keisberg. I could also see the Ralts line as Sacred Sword Gallade ignores Def boosts. Or people just come up with alternative solutions when subbing.

Moving on, Foongus-Enlightened and Mycecroak (Toxicroak evolution) made for a pretty potent duo in the games. They performed better than I expected. Being Trick Room reliant makes them less flexible, but I think it's a fair trade for Mycecroak basically turning into a mini boss.
