VGC Discussion Forum

Nintendo's official annual VGC tournaments are coming up soon, and since the metagame is so different from those currently on Smogon/Shoddybattle I propose a new subforum for VGC under the WiFi section (as a sibling-node of Giveaways and WiFi Tournaments).

To the extent of my knowledge there is no centralized place online specifically for discussing the various aspects of the VGC (much less one with Smogon's sophistication... >_>) so all of us with a DS and a desire to beat Nintendo at their own game would very likely benefit from the creation of a new subforum.

Rejections? Affirmations? Questions? Comments? Complaints? I'm curious to see...
 
There's been a thread on it in the past, usually in Stark Mountain. I'd feel weird about the Wi-Fi forum being used for discussing a metagame, maybe a Stark subforum?
 
I honestly don't think so, most discussion can take place in that thread or one of a few other places that already exist. If you have an exciting new strategy to show people, the doubles metagame thread is there, if you want to get your team rated, there's the RMT forum. Most other discussion can be held in the requisite thread, and while the current one is unorganized at the moment, I will make a new more organized thread much like last year's very soon. I'm not against a subforum or something, I just don't think it is necessary.
 
To be honest, I think a VGC subforum would turn into a complete shitstorm and be a massive headache for mods. Like zerowing said, there should be plenty of avenues for VGC discussion, even if they're a bit convoluted at the moment. There's also #VGC on IRC. Although it doesn't look like it'll happen any time soon, there will be a 2v2 forum (I'm assuming) once Shoddy Battle 2 is released, so maybe there would be a VGC subforum there.
