Glastrier @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Chilling Neigh
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Icicle Crash
- High Horsepower
- Heavy Slam / Close Combat
- Protect
Boasting monstrous Attack and defensive stats in tandem with its extremely low Speed, Glastrier finds itself as the premier Trick Room sweeper in the VGC Series 7 metagame. Glastrier's best trait is its ability to snowball out of control as a Dynamax sweeper. With access to Max Quake and Max Steelspike, it can boost its already insanely high defenses and make it very hard to remove. Couple this with Chilling Neigh and a potential Weakness Policy boost, and Glastrier can absolutely decimate teams in a very small number of turns. Its pure Ice typing is also great for a Weakness Policy user, as it can be activated by many common attacking types. To maximize Glastrier's potential, it absolutely needs Trick Room support from Pokemon such as Dusclops, which can also activate its Weakness Policy via Brick Break or Rock Tomb. Tapu Fini and Urshifu-S also make great partners, as the former helps protect Glastrier from Fire-type attackers and status moves like Spore from Amoonguss and Will-O-Wisp from Dusclops, while the latter is a great check to Glastrier's biggest offensive threat, Metagross.
