VGC RMT

Hello to the person who is reading this RMT that I have made. I will try my best to provide enough information that you need to make this RMT better. If next years format for regionals is the same as VGC 2013 I will be sure to use this team. So read this article and try to make as many changes as possible to make this better!

Rotom-Wash @ Sitrus Berry
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunderbolt
- Protect

At the VGC's in Georgia for regionals I was battling alot of garchomp's, tyranitars, and latios. Rotom-w is here for dragon killing with HP ice for garchomp and latios. Hydro pump is used for tyranitar and is one of his STAB moves. Thunderbolt is used to take out ludicolo, and politoed. Protect is used incase I'm going against grass types that threaten rotom and for what's coming up later.

Darmanitan @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Adamant Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Superpower
- Rock Slide
- Earthquake

Wall breaker that's all there is to it. Darmanitan is just pure power using its STAB flare blitz with sheer force making it even more powerful. When there's a metagross I'll use earthquake and make the other pokemon use protect. To take out tyranitar with one hit I'll use superpower. The choice scarf was used to make sure he could out speed the usual VGC metagame.

Metagross @ Steel Gem
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Bullet Punch
- Zen Headbutt
- Explosion

My first exploder on the team. Metagross' role is to hit hard then while down at low hp to destroy as many things as possible. After running some calculations this metagross can blow at the most about 99% of both kingdra and politoed.

Scizor @ Occa Berry
Trait: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Bug Bite
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
- Protect

This was the first time I used scizor in an actual VGC team, but it turns out it went well with rotom giving each other synergy. Bug bit was for breaking through cresselias tough defense while scouting to see if it has a berry. Superpower was also used to kill tyranitar especially since when I was against sand I always would use scizor he would be a better choice than darmanitan.

Snorlax @ Custap Berry
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Ice Punch
- Zen Headbutt
- Selfdestruct
- Protect

My second exploder (or selfdestructor) has a more defensive and more versatile move set than metagross. The item I chose to put on was recommended to me by a smogon user, Yellowbox. If his hp us getting low he could use the berry so that he can move first and selfdestruct out of the battle to take a few down.

Tornadus (M) @ Flying Gem
Trait: Defiant
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Acrobatics
- Taunt
- Superpower
- Protect

This last pokemon was also recommended by Yellowbox and was the taunt user for my team. Tornadous' taunt was used to shut down trick room and cresselia so there would be no worries about stats. His ability, defiant, was substituted instead of prankster so that when hitmontop came out he would get his attack raised. His stats was to make him very fast and to put alot of damage on the opponent. With acrobatics and his flying gem, tornadus could take out if not damage severely almost any pokemon.

Thank you or reading my RMT and remember to change as many things as you like. I must thank Yellowbox for collaborating with me and giving me recommendations.

hi, I would definitely think about posting this is NuggetBridge as we're dedicated to VGC. (nuggetbridge.com)

Overall, looks like a pretty good team. however, I question the use of 2 exploders. sure, one is a nice surprise, but once you've exploded once, the opponent sees it coming. I might consider replacing Snorlax with something like Cress. It would provide some more speed control for your team too.

Sorry this isn't that long of a rate, really tired atm...
