Welcome to Smogon VGC’s Spring Seasonal! This tournament will award points towards the 2024-2025 VGC Circuit, which awards a ribbon and custom avatar to the winner of the entire circuit. If you win the seasonal itself, you will also get the "Hall of Fame" role in the official Smogon VGC Discord.

SPECIFIC RULES

  • This tournament will be played in VGC 2025 Regulation I
  • This tournament will be in Double Elimination
  • Every match will be in Best of Three, please use the built-in bo3 available when challenging.
  • We suggest to play your matches on Pokémon Showdown!, but playing on cartridge is allowed as long as both players agree and replays are provided.
  • Replays are required for all matches. If neither player posts replays of the match, both players will suffer an automatic game loss. (If you were in losers' when you played, you are both out. If you were in winners', the winner is in losers' and the loser is out.)
  • Do not sign up with more than one account, as it is not only considered cheating but also because it goes against Smogon’s rules to create more than one account.
  • Do not cheat. Cheating will result in a disqualification and additional punishments may be applied if deemed necessary.
  • Cheating includes, but is not limited.
    • Ghosting or being ghosted by another player
    • Forcing deadgames and activity wins
  • Inactivity will result in being disqualified. I do not believe in coinflips. You are committing to this tournament by entering.

Standard VGC Rules and Clauses

  • Team Lock Clause: Players must use the same team for all battles of a given round. You can switch teams in between rounds, however.
  • Item Clause: Players cannot have two of the same item on the same team.
  • Species Clause: Players cannot have two Pokémon with the same Pokédex number on the same team.
  • Matches will be played at level 50.

Mystars - they've been on a roll so far so it looks like they might take the entire thing.
Finabas - I'm usually a finabad person but this time I think finabas is favoured here
Potato - on an absolute tear after getting knocked down to losers by me, hopefully activity doesn't finally strike him
 
Prosetti - back on the finabad train, prosetti's playstyle is also suited to playing someone like finabas
Christian - if he pulls anywhere near a decent mu I like his chances
 
Soulboy - Gooo win it all Insert; either way, this is a fire matchup bc Mystars is obv goated too
Prosetti - I love myself a good underdog story, and you’ve been killing it. Just don’t get act called :)
Christian - Just a great player honestly, he got that goat in him
