4 SpA Porygon2 Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Mega Venusaur: 11-14 (5.8 - 7.4%) -- possibly the worst move ever

Ability: Natural Cure

EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Soft-Boiled
- Toxic
- Seismic Toss
- Stealth Rock/ Refresh/ Aromatherapy/ Thunder Wave/ Minimize

Chansey switches in on any of Porygon2's attacks and doesn't mind Toxic much due to Natural Cure. It can then put Pory on a timer using Toxic, and successfully stall it out one on one. Run Refresh if you really want to counter Toxic P2 (since it has more PP than Aromatherapy).

Mimikyu@Ghostium z
Jolly nature
244HP / 12 SpD / 252 Spe
- Curse
- will o wisp
- taunt
- pain split/shadow claw/ play rough/substitute

Support stall, whatever. Curse will drain P2 life every turn. Taunt will stop recover, toxic and trick room. Wow allows to burn P2's new friend, MMawile. Last move as filler, pain split is the best one because after a curse P2 will much like switch to a full health mon, so pain split will recover mimikyu's life, allowing itto repeat the cycle or switch. Substitute is also good to keep the disguise up. Shadow claw or play rough to damage. Z-curse restores mimikyu life or put a curse on next mon. 244 HP guarentee 51% of HP after one curse and 2 substitutes before using Z-curse or pain split.

Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 212 HP / 44 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

Heatran works as a good Porygon2 counter, thanks to its great bulk, easily tanking hits (except for the occasional HP Ground). The set itself is pretty simple, just trap P2 with Magma Storm, then Toxic stall it to death.

Physically Defensive
+1 4 SpA Porygon2 Ice Beam vs. 212 HP / 44 SpD Heatran: 12-14 (6.2 - 7.2%) -- possibly the worst move ever

Conkeldurr @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 156 HP / 252 Atk / 100 SpD
Adamant Nature
IVs: 15 Spe (always underspeeds Aegislash and Analytic p2)
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Ice Punch / Poison Jab
- Knock Off / Poison Jab

It can safely switch into every p2 attack and it's grateful to it if it gets poisoned, paralyzed (or burned with Tri Attack).
4 SpA Porygon2 Ice Beam vs. 156 HP / 100 SpD Assault Vest Conkeldurr: 29-35 (14.5 - 17.5%) -- possible 6HKO
4 SpA Porygon2 Tri Attack vs. 156 HP / 100 SpD Assault Vest Conkeldurr: 40-48 (20 - 24%) -- guaranteed 5HKO

252+ Atk Conkeldurr Drain Punch vs. 244 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Porygon2: 78-92 (40.8 - 48.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

^ that becames a semi-2HKO with Mach Punch hitting before in the 3rd turn.

Things get even better if Conk gets statussed, where it will have a pretty high chance to KO it in 2 moves, being hitted just once:
252+ Atk Guts Conkeldurr Drain Punch vs. 244 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Porygon2: 116-138 (60.7 - 72.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ Atk Guts Conkeldurr Mach Punch vs. 244 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Porygon2: 62-74 (32.4 - 38.7%)

Not to mention that Knock Off destroyes every Porygon2.
Alas, it seems that we're on opposing sides now, my digital duck friend...

Anyway, here's my check:

Aegislash @ Leftovers
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 HP / 244 SpD / 12 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Toxic
- King's Shield

Toxic Stall Aegi is a great check to Porygon2. The EVs speed creep common Porygon2 while maximizing its bulk. This set can safely switch into it, and the only move that can break its Substitute is Shadow Ball.

Tapu Lele @ Choice Specs
Ability: Psychic Surge
Level: 50
EVs: 244 HP / 252 SpA / 12 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic
- Psyshock
- Moonblast
- Shadow Ball

so this is cool cause you have two stabs that each hit a diff stat. p2 is real flexible and can run phys def or spdef so having both means you can hit whichever side is weaker. earlier in the game you can do some calcs to see what kind of variant you're facing, then choose which stab on lele to use accordingly. always gonna be doing well over a 2hko. and if spdef p2 tries to switch into this, they'll even be 2hko'd by psychic(but switching in yourself you'll ofc wanna go for psyshock if they're spdef). this is bulky just cause for this votw, usually i'd recmend speed tho generally speaking.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Psyshock vs. 252 HP / 12 Def Eviolite Porygon2 in Psychic Terrain: 121-144 (63 - 75%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Psychic vs. 252 HP / 12 SpD Eviolite Porygon2 in Psychic Terrain: 130-154 (67.7 - 80.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Tapu Fini @ Leftovers
Ability: Misty Surge
Level: 50
EVs: 172 HP / 124 Def / 4 SpA / 124 SpD / 84 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Surf/Muddy Water/Scald
- Taunt

Porygon2 is the Perfect setup fodder for Tapu Fini. Just see:
252+ SpA Porygon2 Thunderbolt vs. 172 HP / 124+ SpD Tapu Fini: 66-78 (39.5 - 46.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Of course this is assuming that Porygon2 doesn't have the Download boost or has Anaylitic, but Tapu Fini should be able to set up CalM Minds first to the Thunderbolt will be doing negligible damage. Porygon2 can't toxic Fini thanks to the terrain, and Taunt prevents toxic and recover stalling after Misty Terrain subsides

Snorlax @ Iapapa Berry
Ability: Gluttony
Level: 50
EVs: 68 HP / 196 Atk / 244 Def
Brave Nature
- Curse

not much to explain here.
Free switch into Porygon2's presence on the field and then cursecycle stall.
Idea took from crrs 's battle.
The Aura is strong in this one.

Lucario(Lucarionite)
Nature : Jolly
Ability : Inner Focus - Adaptability
EVs : 252 Atk/252 Spe/4 Def

Swords Dance
Close Combat
Iron Tail
Extreme Speed/Bullet Punch

Mega Lucario is a very solid answer to Porygon2 and in an 1vs1 scenario it always defeats Porygon2. The Aura Monster OHKOs all offensive variants of Porygon2, only needing swords dance against the fully invested in defense Porygon2 whom from his side even with download-boosted special attacks cant kill Lucario in one hit. The only thing Lucario fears is a hidden power ground/fire from a download-boosted offensive Porygon2 on a switch-in whom has a 37.5% chance of OHKO-ing Lucario. Calcs below :
252 Atk Adaptability Lucario-Mega Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Porygon2: 156-184 (81.2 - 95.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Adaptability Lucario-Mega Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 12 Def Eviolite Porygon2: 212-252 (110.4 - 131.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252 Atk Adaptability Lucario-Mega Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Porygon2: 304-360 (158.3 - 187.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+1 0 SpA Porygon2 Thunderbolt vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Lucario-Mega: 71-84 (48.9 - 57.9%) -- 96.9% chance to 2HKO
+1 252+ SpA Porygon2 Hidden Power Fire vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Lucario-Mega: 130-154 (89.6 - 106.2%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO
A special attacker set with Nasty Plot is also very viable and in a lot of occasions even better than the physical one due to most Porygon2s less investment on the special defensive side.
Beside Porygon2, Mega Lucario is a very good answer to Mega Kang , Tapu Bulu , Mamoswine , Mimikyu , non-scarfed Tapu Lele, Hydreigon etc. In short switching in to Close Combat/Iron Tail from Mega Lucario(a nightmare at +2) will hurt badly something most of the time :)

Mawile @ Mawilite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Play Rough
- Sucker Punch
- Swords Dance
- Knock Off

Mega-Mawile is maybe one of the best viable counters of Porygon2. Just after pressuring Porygon2 with Knock Off, she can setup with SD and start a deadly sweep with her poweful STAB in Play Rough, and even on fast sweepers in late game with Sucker Punch.

252+ Atk Huge Power Mega Mawile Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 244 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Porygon2: 54-64 (28.2 - 33.5%) -- 0.1% chance to 3HKO
+2 252+ Atk Huge Power Mawile-Mega Play Rough vs. 244 HP / 252+ Def Porygon2: 223-264 (116.7 - 138.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Even with Recover, P2 can't do really nothing. Mawile is immune to Toxic, doesn't care about TWave, resist BoltBeam combo and Foul Play.

+1 252+ SpA Porygon2 Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Mega Mawile: 68-80 (43.3 - 50.9%) -- 3.9% chance to 2HKO
+1 252+ SpA Porygon2 Hidden Power Ground vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Mega Mawile: 102-122 (64.9 - 77.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Besides that, Mega-Mawile good typing is very helpful in BSS, dealing with Mimikyu, Tapu Lele, Mega-Salamence and Aegislash, but be careful with Fire and Ground-types, such as Garchomp, Blaziken, Charizard and Landorus-T.

ThickFatAzumarill's Aegislash
Along with being a great Pokemon in general, SubToxic Aegislash does wonders against Porygon2. The only thing Porygon2 can really do against this thing is spam Shadow Ball, whixh, depending on the set, may not even break the ghost sword's sub.

Congratulations to ThickFatAzumarill for winning VoTW 9 (Porygon2) with your submission of Aegislash! Your post will be logged into the archive.

VoTW #10 - Tapu Koko

Tapu Koko is is undoubtedly the most threatening offensive electric Pokemon that the current metagame has to offer. With great all round coverage and the ability to run a plethora of both physical, special, and mixed sets, tapu koko has so much utility and offensive presence which any team would value. A base 130 speed tier puts Tapu Koko as one of the fastest Pokemon in the metagame, able to ouspeed and OHKO common threats including Garchomp and staying on par with Mega-Gengar. Common sets include choice scarf, calm mind, all out attacker, mixed, shuca berry, electric seed, gigavolt havoc, supersonic skystrike, just to name a few. So, how do you deal with Tapu Koko?

Submissions are open and will be closed in four days from now. Best of luck everyone!

Immune to every electric move because of its ability. It takes only around 20% from dazzling gleam and OHKOs with flare blitz or a 50% chance of OHKO from shadow bone. You can also 2HKO with flame charge giving it +2 speed so you don't have to worry about speed for next remaining pokemons.

Lanturn's solid bulk and typing backed by Volt Absorb makes it very difficult for Koko to Break. See Here:

Magnezone(Assault Vest)
Ability : Analytic/Sturdy
Nature : Modest
EVs : 252 Hp/252 SpA/4 SpD

Thunderbolt
Flash Cannon
Volt Switch
Hp Fire

The standard AV Magnezone is a great counter to Tapu Koko basically taking nothing from him. Even Modest Choice Specs Hp Fire Koko(which is pretty rare) only 3HKOs Magnezone whom from his side always 2HKOs also having a 12.5% chance to OHKO if the ability is Analytic. Calcs below

252+ SpA Magnezone Flash Cannon vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Tapu Koko: 96-114 (66.2 - 78.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ SpA Analytic Magnezone Flash Cannon vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Tapu Koko: 124-147 (85.5 - 101.3%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO
252+ SpA Choice Specs Tapu Koko Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Magnezone: 68-80 (38.4 - 45.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Tapu Koko Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Magnezone: 55-65 (31 - 36.7%) -- 58.7% chance to 3HKO

AV Magnezone also counters the other 3 Tapus too a feat only few can do , Celesteela , Mimikyu etc.
While I do prefer more Koko and Zapdos for electric types , Magnezone is still a great addition to any team out there.

The most important thing is not to deal heavy damage to Tapu Koko, but to keep it from styling all over your team with fast Electric Terrain boosted STAB moves like Thunderbolt, Volt Switch or Gigavolt Havoc.
4 HP / 28 SpD Thundurus-T can switch into anything Tapu Koko could throw at it and even survive Choice Specs Hidden Power Ice or Dazzling Gleam while Stealth Rock is active.
Volt Absorb keeps opponents from blindly spamming Electric-type moves in Electric Terrain, which makes it much harder for them to deal significant damage with Thunderbolt or grab momentum with Volt Switch.
In return Thundurus-T can try to steal the momentum with his own Volt Switch or just go for the kill with a super effective Sludge Wave.
Calm Mind Life Orb Tapu Koko also misses the OHKO against a healthy Thundurus-T from +1, while being outsped and 2HKO'ed by Sludge Wave. The Choice Scarf is important to gain that Speed advantage.
If you should (unknowingly) switch into a Choice Scarf Tapu Koko, it still only has a miniscule 0.4% chance to 2HKO a healthy Thundurus-T with Hidden Power Ice before you OHKO it with a Sludge Wave.

PS: I hate Focus Blast with a burning passion but an argument could be made for it on this moveset. Still, I refuse to list it. :P

EDIT: I moved 16 EVs from Special Attack to Special Defense, because 220 Special Attack EVs are enough to OHKO all Tapu Koko that only invest 4 EVs into bulk.
The extra Special Defense significantly reduces the chance of Choice Scarf Tapu Koko achieving a 2HKO with Hidden Power Ice (5.9% > 0.4%).
Not sure if this messes up any other important damage rolls for Thundurus-T, but this set is about handling Tapu Koko so that's that.
Change the EV spread if you want or need to, though I wouldn't go below 4 HP / 12 SpD bulk. Otherwise you risk getting OHKO'ed by Choice Specs Tapu Koko after Stealth Rock damage,
which defeats the purpose of this Thundurus-T.

As always, Nihilego is rising as an amazing anti-meta threat. Scarf Nihilego is just a really good set right now to take out a variety of special attackers, and Koko is one of them. I really wanted to vote Rhyperior but I really don't like those Grass Knots, it hurts the set too much. On the other hand, Nihilego takes any special set and is faster with Scarf, so it can still beat a physical set. So it is much more reliable.

Nihilego
As something really anti-meta, Nihilego is threatening to face off against, especially given how fast it is and how good it's special bulk is.

Hula edit: this is for 3heartschall since Feesh Squad didn't put it in his original post
