Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Light Metal
EVs: 248 HP / 84 Atk / 176 SpD

This particular Mega Scizor uses Landorus-T as set-up bait. It can take any attack comfortably. From there, it can boost up with SD and heal with Roost. Easy counter because it's so bulky and has recovery. Other defensive sets (Roost + 3 Attacks, Defensive Defog) work as well but they don't use Landoge as set-up bait.
252 Atk Landorus-T Earthquake vs. 248 HP / 0+ Def Mega Scizor: 121-144 (35.2 - 41.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

porygon-2 cannot be 3hko'd by any of lando's moves. because of Trace, you can switch in on any move, get the attack drop off, and go for the OHKO with Ice Beam or (if he goes for Superpower) stall him out with Recover. thats kind of it lol

Skarmory as a counter:

Skarmory @ Leftovers/Rocky Helmet/Shed Shell
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Roost
- Whirlwind/Taunt/Brave Bird
- Brave Bird / Stealth Rock / Counter
- Brave Bird / Defog / Spikes

Went with max physical bulk. Leftovers for healing, rocky helmet to damage them shed shell for magnezone, item choice doesn't really matter tho since lando runs knock off and you will prob lose item.

Roost for healing is only obvious option.
Taunt counter go together. Must have those or brave bird.
Other options are laying spikes/SR Defogging or WW.

As for why this is better than other land doge counters is because lando mainly just spams u-turns and skarm can take u-turns better then any other counter:

252 Atk Landorus-T U-turn vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 11-14 (3.2 - 4.1%) -- possibly the worst move ever lol leftovers heals more than it does.

at worst:

252 Atk Landorus-T Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 68-80 (20.3 - 23.9%)

Brave bird doesn't do much, but you can heal it can't.

-1 0 Atk Skarmory Brave Bird vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Landorus-T: 78-93 (24.3 - 29%)
0 Atk Skarmory Brave Bird vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Landorus-T: 118-139 (36.8 - 43.4%)

altaria-mega.gif
Altaria: Check
Altaria @ Altarianite
Ability: Natural Cure > Pixilate
EVs: 248 HP / 144 Def / 116 SpD
Bold / Impish Nature
- Roost
- Hyper Voice / Return
- Heal Bell
- Flamethrower / Earthquake / Perish Song

Support Mega Altaria, defensive EV allows it to survive 2 EQ after rocks, then it can Roost up and 2HKO in return with Hyper Voice or Return. While 252 Def certainly take hits better, it means Altaria will lose in some match ups which it could otherwise win with the given SpD investment, such as against Icy Wind Keldeo, HP Ice Thundurus etc. However, if Landorus-T is the main concern, feel free to go all in on physically defensive. Roost is obligatory reliable healing, while Heal Bell is for utility, allowing it to function as an effective cleric. Despite Scarf Landorus-T commonly being seen as a pivot that can soften physical attacks, Return and Hyper Voice actually both deal exactly the same damage, so both are very viable options. Choice of Flamethrower or Earthquake depends on nature and choice of STAB, and both provides good coverage alongside Fairy. Perish Song is really handy to destroy last mon standing Mega Slowbro or something, while also simply serving as a form of pseudo-phazing.

Even though coming in and avoiding the 2HKO seems to fit the definition of a counter more than a check, Altaria is still more of a check since it has to mega evolve to actually be able to avoid those 2HKOs. It is generally unrealistic to have it at full health while already mega evolved. Hence speaking, it still has to practice caution coming into Landorus-T, which makes it more of a check.
Landorus-T on Altaria:
252 Atk Landorus-T Earthquake vs. 248 HP / 144+ Def Altaria: 130-154 (36.8 - 43.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock

Altaria on Landorus-T:
0 Atk Pixilate Altaria Return vs. 0 HP / 24 Def Landorus-T: 165-195 (51.7 - 61.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (note Altaria isn't on -1 because Altaria is switching into Landorus, not the other way round, so there is not Intimidate kicking in)
0 SpA Pixilate Altaria Hyper Voice vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Landorus-T: 165-195 (51.7 - 61.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
aerodactyl-mega.gif
Aerodactyl: Check
Aerodactyl @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Unnerve > Tough Claws
EVs: 212 Atk / 44 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant / Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake / Fire Fang
- Aerial Ace / Taunt
- Ice Fang / Aqua Tail

Fairly obvious why Aerodactyl is only just a check since if it switches into Stone Edge it just dies. But other than Stone Edge, other moves don't actually pose much of a problem; even Superpower doesn't get the 2HKO on it after the attack drop from the first Superpower. The 44 Def is mainly for surviving 2 CB Brave Birds from Talonflame but it also helps avoiding the 2HKO from Lando-T Superpower so that's a nice addition. Move slot 1-3 are simply for it to hit as many things hard as possible. Move slot 4 kills Landorus-T among other stuff like Hippowdon and Gliscor. Ice Fang obviously obliterates Landorus-T, while Aqua Tail still has a very good chance to OHKO it, in this case both works because other than Superpower, no other move can 3HKO Aerodactyl, and if Lando-T chooses to Superpower, Aqua Tail will still get the guaranteed OHKO due to Superpower defense drop.

Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive/Timid Nature
- Earth Power
- Focus Blast
- HP ice
- Knock Off / Calm mind / Rock Polish
Pretty ironic having one form of a pokemon check its other form. Landorus-I can avoid the 2hko from any move except Explosion if it is healthy (Stone edge has ~60% chance to 2hko with rocks up, but I digress), and is immune to Earthquake altogether, meaning any opposing Landorus-T's have to tread carefully. U-turn is also resisted as a bonus, so the damage from that is not a problem. HP ice can then easily OHKO Landorus-T, even without the life orb (after rocks) if Lando-T knock offs. If you choose to run Calm mind or Rock polish, you can even set up on Land-T's foolish enough to EQ with you around

252 Atk Landorus-T Stone Edge vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Landorus: 130-153 (40.7 - 47.9%) -- 59% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 208 Def / 52 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Will-O-Wisp
- Sludge Bomb
- Pain Split
- Haze

weezing is a p good scarf lando-t set and it takes pitiful damage from it. also weezing can wisp it to make it weak and unable to do much. if weezing gets weakened, it can restore it's health with pain split + lefties. this set does have uses other than checking lando-t as it can deal with lots of other mons in the meta such as mons like malt, azu, gliscor, and several ground types and physical attackers atm. the evs are for outspeeding clef and non-mega scizors. haze is a very good move for removing stat boosts from threatening sweepers like bd azu and dd malt
252 Atk Landorus-T Stone Edge vs. 248 HP / 208+ Def Weezing: 78-92 (23.4 - 27.6%) -- 7.6% chance to 4HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery
252 Atk Landorus-T U-turn vs. 248 HP / 208+ Def Weezing: 27-32 (8.1 - 9.6%) -- possibly the worst move ever
252 Atk Landorus-T Superpower vs. 248 HP / 208+ Def Weezing: 46-55 (13.8 - 16.5%) -- possible 8HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery
252 Atk Landorus-T Explosion vs. 248 HP / 208+ Def Weezing: 193-228 (57.9 - 68.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery (weezing automatically wins and can neuter this attack with wow)
252 Atk Landorus-T Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 248 HP / 208+ Def Weezing: 76-90 (22.8 - 27%) -- 0.8% chance to 4HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery
if weezing gets weakened, it can restore it's health with pain split.

Tank Garchomp as a Check

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Dragon Tail
- Toxic

The main goal of Tank garchomp to check lando is to continuously wear it down with the combination of rocky helmet, rough skin, stealth rock and toxic. Although chomp cant do much back and doesnt take eq's to well, lets face it, the only move lando-t EVER clicks is U-Turn, and lando will gradualy just die through chomp wearing it down (or get lowered into priority range).

Calcs:
252 Atk Landorus-T U-turn vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Garchomp: 62-74 (14.7 - 17.6%) -- possible 6HKO
252 Atk Landorus-T Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Garchomp: 133-157 (31.6 - 37.3%) -- 86.8% chance to 3HKO
252 Atk Landorus-T Explosion vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Garchomp: 220-259 (52.3 - 61.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (O_O)

0 Atk Garchomp Dragon Tail vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Landorus-T: 90-106 (28.2 - 33.2%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

(
remeber, if lando clicks U-Turn (its main spamable move), it will take 28% from rough skin + Helmet, and 12% from rocks if they are up, 40% in total! This means that lando can only click U-turn 3 times in a match were chomp is in play, and forces it to click EQ, making it much easier for ground immune team mates to come in and get a free switch, as the lando user will be hesitant to click U-Turn, leaving momentum in your favour through out the match, which is what you want when facing scarf lando)

Togekiss @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpA
Bold Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Air Slash
- Roost
- Heal Bell / Baton Pass

Togekiss can avoid the 2HKO from any of Landorus-T's moves except Stone Edge and can set up a Nasty Plot. Air Slash is Togekiss's STAB move of choice and can be used to take advantage of Serene Grace. Roost allows Togekiss to heal up and check other physical threats such as Mega Gallade and Mega Lopunny (both of which are taken care of by Air Slash). Heal Bell is used so that Togekiss can set up in front of Sableye and Slowbro. However, Baton Pass can be used to pass the boost to a teammate.

Calculations:
252 Atk Landorus-T Stone Edge vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Togekiss: 178-210 (47.7 - 56.3%) -- 26.6% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Landorus-T Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Togekiss: 42-50 (11.2 - 13.4%) -- possibly the worst move ever
252 Atk Landorus-T Explosion vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Togekiss: 220-259 (58.9 - 69.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Week 41:

Thanks for the Landorus-T checks and counters!

Also, there's been a slight policy change. I've recognized the reservation system as a necessary evil for a while, since it prevents two people from writing up the same entry at the same time and then posting them. However, it's also sometimes abused, with the best counters being reserved minutes after I post, and then only written up on Thursday or Friday. To prevent this, there's a new rule: all reservations must be filled within one hour of their post. Also, always edit your entry into your initial reservation post, as it clogs the thread otherwise. Thanks guys for your understanding.

This week we'll do SD Bisharp!

Impish Nature

Chesnught can take any hit from +2 Bisharp and KO back with Drain Punch. +2 Iron Head maxes out at 70% damage. Chesnaught resists Bisharp's Dark STAB moves, and has passive recovery to allow it to stay relatively healthy.

Infernape @ Leftovers
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 212 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def / 40 Spe
Impish Nature
- Close Combat
- Will-O-Wisp
- Slack Off
- Taunt

Infernape, despite its low defensive stats, can actually wall Bisharp fairly well. Its typing allows it to resist Bisharp's STAB moves, while being to retaliate with an OHKO in every viable STAB move it can run. And the EVs aren't random, maximum Defense EVs and an Impish nature let Infernape wall Bisharp, as well as Mega Scizor. 212 HP EVs maximize recovery from Leftovers and also allow Infernape to take an Aqua Jet from an Assault Vest Azumarill, allowing Infernape to burn it and severely cripple it for the rest of the match. The remaining 40 Speed EVs let it outspeed Adamant Gyarados.

252 Atk Bisharp Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 212 HP / 252+ Def Infernape: 69-81 (19.9 - 23.4%) -- 34.1% chance to 4HKO after Stealth Rock

Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 60 Def / 200 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Stealth Rock/Toxic
- Lava Plume
- Earth Power
- Taunt

Majority of times, Jolly Bisharp does not expect to be outspeed by Heatran, that's why they tend to click Knock Off, that after a swords dance boost will normally ohko Heatran, however Heatran outspeeds and kill him with Lava, even if by chance Bisharp will use Sucker Punch, said ev spread (248 hp, 60 def) will allow Heatran to always resist an Adamant Life Orb +2 Sucker Punch from Bisharp and get a Leftovers breakpoint.
The set does not only focus on Bisharp, it is also a great surprise against Offensive Adamant mega Scizor, and can act as a great stallbreaker, while also setting up Stealth Rocks on the field.
Some calcs:
0 SpA Heatran Lava Plume vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Bisharp: 290-344 (106.6 - 126.4%)
252 Atk Life Orb Bisharp Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 248 HP / 60 Def Heatran: 181-214 (47 - 55.5%)

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock / Rock Slide / Ice Fang
- Earthquake
- Slack Off
- Whirlwind

Hippowdon tanks a +2 Knock off and ohkoes back with Earthquake after SR and LO damage. The reason it isn't a counter is because your opponent might on the EQ, live with 3% and force a double down, potentially opening for a sweep for a mon that hippowdon checked.
Other than that, hippowdon is a pretty underrated wall : it beats thundurus with the given spread (NP variants easily break through though), Talonflame (preferably with rock slide), offensive Heatran, and pretty much every physical attacker that doesn't have stab grass / water / ice attacks.

Terrakion @ Life Orb
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- Quick Attack
- Swords Dance

Terrakion can come in on any attack not named Iron Head, outspeed Bisharp and OHKO with STAB Close Combat. Stone Edge is a secondary STAB move and provides great coverage alongside Close Combat. Swords Dance provides Terrakion with a way to boost its Attack and break walls while Quick Attack provides you with a priority move to finish off weakened frail faster Pokemon such as Latios and Sceptile. For bonus points, Terrakion grabs a free Justified boost if it gets hit by a Dark-type move (such as Knock Off and Sucker Punch).

Calculations:
252 Atk Life Orb Bisharp Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Terrakion: 109-129 (33.7 - 39.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Conkeldurr is a great counter to Bisharp, being able to switch in on any move and OHKO back with either Mach Punch or Drain Punch. Even if Conkeldurr switches in on a Swords Dance, Bisharp is forced to use Sucker Punch due to the threat of Mach Punch.

Thanks to his typing and his speed, Cobalion is a great counter to Bisharp. Even if Bisharp is Adamant + LO, Knock Off or Sucker Punch does nothing :
252+ Atk Life Orb Bisharp Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 140 HP / 0 Def Cobalion: 88-105 (24.5 - 29.3%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

Quagsire is a very reliable counter that switches into Bisharp with ease, thanks to its ability, Quagsire ignores the boosts from Swords Dance. Recover allows it to maintain its health level vs it and Earthquake lets it put a huge dent into Bisharp.
0 Atk Quagsire Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Bisharp: 188-224 (69.1 - 82.3%)
252+ Atk Bisharp Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Quagsire: 135-160 (34.2 - 40.6%)
252+ Atk Bisharp Sucker Punch vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Quagsire: 112-133 (28.4 - 33.7%)
252+ Atk Bisharp Knock Off vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Quagsire: 91-108 (23 - 27.4%)

Garchomp @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 184 HP / 252 Atk / 72 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Iron Head

This particular spread(still in calibration) lets garchomp outspeed various threats(even u-turning jolly talonflame is caught by this),bisharp included, while maintaining a considerable bulk.
He can switch into any attack, including swords dance, and then outspeed and kill:
+2 252 Atk Bisharp Sucker Punch vs. 184 HP / 0 Def Garchomp: 265-313 (65.7 - 77.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Bisharp Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 184 HP / 0 Def Garchomp: 160-190 (39.7 - 47.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 Atk Bisharp Iron Head vs. 184 HP / 0 Def Garchomp: 133-157 (33 - 38.9%) -- 99.8% chance to 3HKO

Charizard @ Charizardite X
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 248 HP / 148 SpD / 112 Spe
Careful Nature
- Earthquake/Flareblitz/Fire punch
- Dragon Claw
- Will-O-Wisp
- Roost

Speed evs let you outspeed bisharp, adamant gyarados, and other base 70s with max speed. hp for bulk. 248 gives you an odd number for SR. Rest in SPD because this set mainly checks Special attackers.

roost for recovery. Wisp burns things ie lot of common switch ins: lando, altaria, azumarill, tyranitar etc... Dragon claw stab. EQ lets you beat heatran, but flare blitz also acceptable.

Calcs:
252 Atk Bisharp Sucker Punch vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Mega Charizard X: 117-138 (32.5 - 38.4%)

252 Atk Bisharp Knock Off vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Mega Charizard X: 94-112 (26.1 - 31.1%)

0 Atk Mega Charizard X Earthquake vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Bisharp: 180-214 (66.1 - 78.6%)

0 Atk Tough Claws Mega Charizard X Flare Blitz vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Bisharp: 432-510 (158.8 - 187.5%)

0 Atk Tough Claws Mega Charizard X Fire Punch vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Bisharp: 270-320 (99.2 - 117.6%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO

EQ doesn't ohko, but usually you just spam wisp and roost.

Only putting as a check tho because double switching into SR multiple times gets you warn down fast, but otherwise is a quality counter that is receving quite low usage atm when it is quite a good set.

EDIT: Forgot Life Orb in the Calcs, which makes Lucario a mediocre check at best. I'll keep it up since I already changed my reservation once. Hopefully there'll be something left on the second run that works better
EDIT2: Didn't notice that Bisharp was Jolly because what's reading (credit to FullLifeGames for pointing it out)

Check: Lucario

Lucario @ Life Orb
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Swords Dance
- Extreme Speed
- Crunch / Iron Tail / Ice Punch

Lucario can come in on any of Bisharp's attacks bar Knock Off and threaten it out with Close Combat:
252 Atk Life Orb Bisharp Iron Head vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Lucario: 109-130 (38.7 - 46.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock

+2 252 Atk Life Orb Bisharp Sucker Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Lucario: 220-260 (78.2 - 92.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Bisharp can theoretically stay in and try and take Lucario with him, but if your opponent still needs it to take something else out, they're likely to switch Bisharp out.
