Weavile @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ice Punch
- Knock Off

- Ice Shard / Pursuit

Role: Check

252 Atk Life Orb Weavile Ice Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tornadus-T: 361-429 (120.7 - 143.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Pretty simple, Weavile outspeeds and revenge kills, but is way too frail to switch in.

216 SpA Life Orb Tornadus-T Hurricane vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Kyurem-B: 246-290 (62.9 - 74.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Slowbro-Mega @ Slowbronite
Ability: Shell Armor
EVs: 252 HP / 200 SpA / 56 SpD
Modest Nature
- Slack Off
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Psyshock

How it soft checks it
  • 160 SpA Tornadus-T Hurricane vs. 252 HP / 56 SpD Mega Slowbro: 168-198 (42.6 - 50.2%) -- 0.4% chance to 2HKO
  • 160 SpA Tornadus-T Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 56 SpD Mega Slowbro: 61-72 (15.4 - 18.2%) -- possible 6HKO
  • 0- Atk Tornadus-T Knock Off vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mega Slowbro: 52-62 (13.1 - 15.7%) -- possible 7HKO
  • 0- Atk Tornadus-T U-turn vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mega Slowbro: 56-66 (14.2 - 16.7%) -- possible 6HKO
How it Beats it
  • 200+ SpA Mega Slowbro Psyshock vs. 132 HP / 0 Def Tornadus-T: 168-198 (50.6 - 59.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
  • 200+ SpA Mega Slowbro Scald vs. 132 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Tornadus-T: 102-120 (30.7 - 36.1%) -- 46.2% chance to 3HKO
Summary: Tornadus becomes set up fodder for slowbro with this set. If you want to play the stall game remember that the only chance of doing relevant damage it has to hit hurricane which as I do recall has 70% accuracy while you can slack off to make sure the damage doesn't rack up which as I do recall is 100% accurate :]. Due to the idea of not getting a critical hit you don't have to worry about that but the confusion is all that matters. I made it so it is hard to 2HKO. But, remember it is a soft check it can still be beat in the worst situation. (I just realize it was life orb variant but this is for assault vest but here you go)

  • 0 SpA Rotom-W Hydro Pump vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Tornadus-T: 151-178 (50.5 - 59.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Summary: Calculations said it all. It might be standard but sometimes standard are the best sets to help these sets and counters most mons. (And I am way to lazy to write a full summary because of slowbro.)

Metagross @ Metagrossite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Meteor Mash

Can survive any 2 hits from Tornadus-T even with Stealth Rock up (although doing this isn't recommended) and OHKO back with Meteor Mash (which has a high chance to KO with Stealth Rock up (or simply LO recoil) ). Other moves are standard while Ice Punch can be used to hit bulky Garchomp and bulky Grass-types harder. However, Pursuit is a nice option to get rid of Lati@s.

216 SpA Life Orb Tornadus-T Hurricane vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Metagross: 94-109 (31.2 - 36.2%) -- 99.8% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock

Hippowdon: Counter

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpD
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Slack Off
- Stone Edge / Whirlwind

Hippowdon easily switches into any attack Toxicroak has, even Ice Punch, can OHKO back with Earthquake, recovering any damage it might have taken thanks to Slack Off. Thanks to Earthquake being a straight OHKO, Drain Punch will obviously not recover enough HP to live Hippowdon's attack. At +2, Drain Punch only has an extremely small chance to 2HKO. Even if Toxicroak somehow has both Ice Punch and Swords Dance, Hippowdon can even take a +2 Ice Punch and KO it back, just proving how bulky Hippowdon is, so Hippowdon wins every time without some crazy Freeze hax.

252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Ice Punch vs. 252 HP / 144+ Def Hippowdon: 130-153 (30.9 - 36.4%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Drain Punch vs. 252 HP / 144+ Def Hippowdon: 97-114 (23 - 27.1%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

Hard Check

aggron-mega.gif

Aggron @ Aggronite
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Def / 240 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Heavy Slam
- Avalanche / Thunder Wave
- Earthquake / Fire Punch / Rock Slide

Aggron can come in on any of Toxicroak's moves (with the exception of Drain Punch pre-mega) and safely Mega Evolve. After Mega Evolving, all of its attacks (with the exception of Rock Slide and Fire Punch) will 2HKO Toxicroak, and, in some cases, allow Life Orb recoil to finish it off.

However, due to its lack of reliable recovery, Aggron can be worn down (or OHKOed pre-mega) with Drain Punch. If Toxicroak is able to set up, this problem only becomes worse.

Offensive:
0 Atk Mega Aggron Heavy Slam (120 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Toxicroak: 246-289 (80.1 - 94.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 Atk Mega Aggron Avalanche vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Toxicroak: 164-193 (53.4 - 62.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 Atk Mega Aggron Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Toxicroak: 272-322 (88.5 - 104.8%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO
0 Atk Mega Aggron Fire Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Dry Skin Toxicroak: 129-152 (42 - 49.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
0 Atk Mega Aggron Rock Slide vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Toxicroak: 51-60 (16.6 - 19.5%) -- possible 6HKO

Defensive:
252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Ice Punch vs. 252 HP / 16+ Def Mega Aggron: 19-23 (5.5 - 6.6%) -- possibly the worst move ever
252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Drain Punch vs. 252 HP / 16+ Def Filter Mega Aggron: 90-107 (26.1 - 31.1%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Drain Punch vs. 252 HP / 16+ Def Filter Mega Aggron: 181-213 (52.6 - 61.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+4 252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Drain Punch vs. 252 HP / 16+ Def Filter Mega Aggron: 265-316 (77 - 91.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+6 252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Drain Punch vs. 252 HP / 16+ Def Filter Mega Aggron: 357-421 (103.7 - 122.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 244 HP / 192 SpD / 72 Spe
Careful Nature
- Taunt
- Roost
- Toxic / Knock Off
- Earthquake

Despite the lack of defense investment, Gliscor can take on SD Toxicroak fairly easily:
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Gunk Shot vs. 244 HP / 0 Def Gliscor: 182-214 (51.7 - 60.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Poison Heal
0 Atk Gliscor Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Toxicroak: 290-344 (94.4 - 112%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO (Guaranteed OHKO after LO damage)

The only flaw is that you're basically forced to use Earthquake if you want to avoid being KO'd, which can lead to you basically telegraphing your next move, but it nonetheless gets the job done and can keep coming back thanks to Roost.

Needless to say this set will get wrecked by Ice Punch variants. Physically defensive variants don't fair much better since even Drain Punch + Ice Punch can still potentially KO it.

Quagsire as a Counter (already my third Quaggy nomination... would be funny if it wins this round too)

Quagsire @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Scald
- Earthquake
- Recover
- Toxic / Encore / Stockpile / Ice Beam / filler

Pretty straightforward: Quagsire doesn't care about any move from Toxicroak and its Unaware ability ignores the toxic frog's SDs. In fact, Quagsire can't be 2HKOed by Toxicroak even after SR and 3 layers of Spikes. In return, Quagsire easily 2HKOes it with Earthquake (and has a small chance to OHKO without any prior damage, a 75% chance to OHKO after one LO recoil and a guaranteed one after two LO recoil). So yeah, Quaggy shits all over Froggy, period.
252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Ice Punch vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Quagsire: 74-88 (18.7 - 22.3%) -- 0.7% chance to 4HKO after Stealth Rock, 3 layers of Spikes, and Leftovers recovery

EVs: 248 HP / 44 Atk / 16 Def / 200 SpD
Impish Nature

Mega Scizor laughs at anything unoboosted Toxicroak can do and can simply set up in front of it or heal up with Roost. A +2 Bullet Punch is sufficient to OHKO Toxicroak. The final slot is essentially filler so Knock Off is used to increase the annoyance factor while Superpower is a nice option to smack Ferrothorn, Heatran and Bisharp hard.

Cofagrigus can take Toxicroak's STAB moves, burn it with WoW, and then stall it out from that point. Gunk Shot is a 5HKO when Toxi is healthy, and once burned Toxicroak doesn't stand a chance. You could also try to sneak in a Hex in if it turns into a Sucker Punch prediction war to speed it up, as once burned Sucker Punch doesn't do much damage either.

252+ Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Gunk Shot vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Cofagrigus: 66-79 (20.6 - 24.7%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

Since you described Scizor as a counter, you are implying that it can switch into Toxicroak and win every time, which simply isn't true.
A common scenario is Toxicroak will set up Sword Dance as Scizor switches in. Therefor:

+2 252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Drain Punch vs. 248 HP / 0+ Def Mega Scizor: 187-222 (54.5 - 64.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Sucker Punch vs. 248 HP / 0+ Def Mega Scizor: 134-159 (39 - 46.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

At best, Scizor is a check. It can't reliably switch into Toxicroak repeatedly.

+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Sucker Punch vs. 248 HP / 16+ Def Mega Scizor: 146-172 (42.5 - 50.1%) -- 0.4% chance to 2HKO

At best, Scizor is a check. It can't reliably switch into Toxicroak repeatedly.
Wrong calc as Toxicroak is Jolly, not Adamant, but your point still holds as after one SD, Toxicroak 2HKOes:

+2 252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Drain Punch vs. 248 HP / 16+ Def Mega Scizor: 187-220 (54.5 - 64.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Talonflame @ Sharp Beak
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- Swords Dance
- Roost

Switches in on any move besides Gunk Shot and OHKOes back with Brave Bird. Outpaces Sucker Punch because of Gale Wings + higher speed.

252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Ice Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Talonflame: 122-144 (41 - 48.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Drain Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Talonflame: 91-108 (30.6 - 36.3%) -- 52.6% chance to 3HKO

252 Atk Sharp Beak Talonflame Brave Bird vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Toxicroak: 488-576 (158.9 - 187.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Reserving Mega Metagross as a check
latest

Metagross @ Metagrossite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Zen Headbutt
- Grass Knot / Ice Punch / Bullet Punch
- Hammer Arm / Earthquake

With its terrific physical bulk and super effective STAB move, Mega Metagross can beat Toxicroak guaranteed on the switch in once, if it comes in on any move apart from Swrds Dance, which is why it's a check. Because this spread forgoes Adamant for Jolly, 'Croak has no chance to KO M-Meta with Drain Punch + Sucker Punch + Stealth Rock. 'Gross can only do this one time however, which is why it is a check. If it comes on Swords Dance it does faint to +2 sucker punch 50% of the time, but wins guaranteed from coming in on any other move or if Croak chooses not to run swords dance

252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Drain Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Metagross: 99-117 (32.8 - 38.8%) -- 99.2% chance to 3HKO
252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Sucker Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Metagross: 140-166 (46.5 - 55.1%) -- 67.2% chance to 2HKO
(38.8 + 55.1 + 6 = 99.9) Talk about a clutch
252 Atk Tough Claws Mega Metagross Zen Headbutt vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Toxicroak: 1068-1260 (347.8 - 410.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Easy KO in return, with whatever move you want really.
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Sucker Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Metagross: 278-328 (92.3 - 108.9%) -- 50% chance to OHKO
Still a pretty good chance of living, but can not live guaranteed, nd dies with rocks up nearly every time.

Edit @ below: well lando is wrecked by ice punch as well lol

defensive landorus-t as a hard check
landorus-therian.gif

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 8 SpD / 8 Spe
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Rock Tomb
- Stealth Rock

defensive landorus-t is a decent check to toxicroak, as it can comfortably switch in on any attack other than an ice punch

0 Atk Landorus-T Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Toxicroak: 420-494 (136.8 - 160.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

-1 252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 240+ Def Landorus-T: 57-68 (14.9 - 17.8%) -- possible 8HKO after Leftovers recovery
-1 252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Ice Punch vs. 252 HP / 240+ Def Landorus-T: 198-234 (51.8 - 61.2%) -- 95.3% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

garchomp.gif

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 HP / 40 Atk / 216 Def
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Dragon Tail
- Earthquake
- Fire Fang

How it Check it:
  • 252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 216+ Def Garchomp: 84-100 (20 - 23.8%) -- guaranteed 5HKO
  • 252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Drain Punch vs. 252 HP / 216+ Def Garchomp: 107-126 (25.4 - 30%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
  • 252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Sucker Punch vs. 252 HP / 216+ Def Garchomp: 75-90 (17.8 - 21.4%) -- possible 5HKO
  • 252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Ice Punch vs. 252 HP / 216+ Def Garchomp: 286-338 (68 - 80.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
How it Beat it:
  • 40 Atk Garchomp Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Toxicroak: 392-464 (127.6 - 151.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Explanation: Put it plain and simple garchomp is fat. He can take hits and deliver them back with force with a base 130 attack he can easily kill anything that is weak to earthquake even without investment and with helmet and skin the toxicroak has to hit you twice and it will be below 50% after it will be easier for the rest of your team and with life orb damage it will be at least below 30%. Again garchomp is fat. Only if his mega was better. (sigh....)
