EDIT: My bad, did not notice that its the bulky hera so I guess i have to change this set.
Doublade as a counter.
doublade.gif

Doublade @ Eviolite
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Atk / 16 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Sneak
- Iron Head
- Sacred Sword

Mega Heracross cant really do much to this even when boosted to +4 unless it has EQ/Knock Off. Doublade can SD up and 2HKO with iron head.

+2 252+ Atk Doublade Iron Head vs. 248 HP / 84 Def Mega Heracross: 210-247 (57.8 - 68%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+4 76+ Atk Mega Heracross Pin Missile (5 hits) vs. 240 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Doublade: 95-110 (29.7 - 34.4%) -- approx. 2.1% chance to 3HKO

Doublade @ Eviolite
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Gyro Ball
- Toxic
- Sleep Talk
- Rest

Mega Heracross cant really do much to this even when boosted to +4 unless it has EQ/Knock Off. Doublade can just gyro ball and shrug of any damage with rest and sleeptalk.

4 Atk Doublade Gyro Ball (101 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Heracross: 105-124 (34.8 - 41.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+4 252 Atk Mega Heracross Pin Missile (5 hits) vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Doublade: 95-110 (29.5 - 34.1%) -- approx. 0.4% chance to 3HKO

Gyro Ball can't even break Hera's Substitute so it gets set up on.
4 Atk Doublade Gyro Ball (55 BP) vs. 248 HP / 84 Def Mega Heracross: 54-64 (14.8 - 17.6%) -- possible 6HKO

As a check

Weezing @ Black Sludge
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Flamethrower
- Thunderbolt
- Pain Split
- Will-O-Wisp
Heracross can't do much to weezing since it's both stab moves are resistance and it's only way of hitting hard is by +2 rock blast, even though weezing can just will-o-wisp it.

Calcs

252 Atk Mega Heracross Rock Blast (5 hits) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Weezing: 115-140 (34.4 - 41.9%) -- approx. 84.8% chance to 3HKO after Black Sludge recovery

252 Atk Mega Heracross Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Weezing: 81-96 (24.2 - 28.7%) -- possible 5HKO after Black Sludge recovery

252 Atk Mega Heracross Rock Blast (5 hits) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Weezing: 115-140 (34.4 - 41.9%) -- approx. 84.8% chance to 3HKO after Black Sludge recovery

+2 252 Atk Mega Heracross Rock Blast (5 hits) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Weezing: 225-270 (67.3 - 80.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery

252 Atk burned Mega Heracross Rock Blast (5 hits) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Weezing: 55-70 (16.4 - 20.9%) -- possible 7HKO after Black Sludge recovery

Check
Scizor-Mega @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 76 HP / 252 Atk / 180 Def
Adamant Nature
- Aerial Ace
- Bullet Punch
- Roost
- Bug Bite

Given a free switch, Mega Scizor will take a Close Combat.
76+ Atk Mega Heracross Close Combat vs. 76 HP / 180 Def Mega Scizor: 168-198 (56 - 66%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Aerial Ace will then OHKO.
252+ Atk Technician Mega Scizor Aerial Ace vs. 248 HP / 84 Def Mega Heracross: 396-468 (109 - 128.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Mega Heracross' other moves don't do much.
76+ Atk Mega Heracross Pin Missile (5 hits) vs. 76 HP / 180 Def Mega Scizor: 90-105 (30 - 35%) -- approx. 7.1% chance to 3HKO
76+ Atk Mega Heracross Rock Blast (5 hits) vs. 76 HP / 180 Def Mega Scizor: 120-145 (40 - 48.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

In conclusion, Mega Scizor cannot switch into a +2 Mega Heracross. It can win by: free switching into an unboosted Mega Heracross, or switching into any attack except for SD, Sub, or Close Combat.

Check
crobat.gif

Crobat @ Black Sludge
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 248 HP / 44 Def / 216 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- U-turn
- Defog
- Roost

I'll give you that Crobat isn't the most viable Pokémon in ORAS OU, but it's too great in checking Mega Heracross, to not give it a look here.

Crobat can come in on any attacking move Mega Heracross wants to throw at it, except Rock Blast:
76+ Atk Mega Heracross Close Combat vs. 248 HP / 44 Def Crobat: 72-85 (19.3 - 22.7%) -- possible 6HKO after Black Sludge recovery
76+ Atk Mega Heracross Pin Missile (5 hits) vs. 248 HP / 44 Def Crobat: 75-90 (20.1 - 24.1%) -- possible 6HKO after Black Sludge recovery
76+ Atk Mega Heracross Rock Blast (5 hits) vs. 248 HP / 44 Def Crobat: 410-490 (109.9 - 131.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

If Mega Heracross chooses to use Swords Dance, it doesn't even matter because you're always faster and if he uses Substitute you can just simply ignore it, thanks to Infiltrator.
So, if you don't come in on a Rock Blast, you can always OHKO the Mega Heracross, making Crobat a great check:
0 Atk Crobat Brave Bird vs. 248 HP / 84 Def Mega Heracross: 388-460 (106.8 - 126.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Mega Pinsir- Check

pinsir-mega.gif

Pinsir @ Pinsirite
Ability: Hyper Cutter
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Return/ Double Hit
- Close Combat
- Quick Attack

Mega Pinsir can switch into any move bar Rock Blast and OHKO with Return or Quick Attack.

252 Atk Aerilate Mega Pinsir Return vs. 248 HP / 84 Def Mega Heracross: 816-964 (224.7 - 265.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 Atk Aerilate Mega Pinsir Quick Attack vs. 248 HP / 84 Def Mega Heracross: 324-384 (89.2 - 105.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

76+ Atk Mega Heracross Pin Missile (5 hits) vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Pinsir: 115-135 (42.4 - 49.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

76+ Atk Mega Heracross Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Pinsir: 54-64 (19.9 - 23.6%) -- possible 5HKO

e: didn't see sub. use double hit for sub varients

Noivern @ Choice Specs
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Boomburst
- Draco Meteor
- Hurricane
- Switcheroo

Noivern can switch into any attack except for Rock Blast.
76+ Atk Mega Heracross Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Noivern: 153-181 (49.1 - 58.1%) -- 98% chance to 2HKO
76+ Atk Mega Heracross Pin Missile (5 hits) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Noivern: 165-195 (53 - 62.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
76+ Atk Mega Heracross Rock Blast (5 hits) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Noivern: 440-520 (141.4 - 167.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Noivern then outspeeds and OHKOs with Hurricane.
252 SpA Choice Specs Noivern Hurricane vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Mega Heracross: 844-996 (232.5 - 274.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Subs are ignored thanks to Infiltrator.

184_Azumarill.png

Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Play Rough
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet
- Superpower / Double-Edge

Close Combat vs Azu: 44.8 - 53%
Pin Missile vs Azu:
48.3 - 57.1%
Rock Blast vs Azu: 64.5 - 76.2%
Play Rough vs Mega Hera: 111.2 - 131.1%

A spin on standard CB Azu, only with a Jolly nature. Azu now becomes faster than this variant of Mega Hera and is able to function as a check. Because of the ability to outpace Mega Hera, Azu can switch in on any given attack once, tank the move, and OHKO back with a CB Play Rough as shown by the calcs above. Should Azu come in as a Sub is set up, you can break it prior to being hit with an attack and proceed to either kill Mega Hera or force it to switch. Interesting check overall, especially because Jolly is uncommon and can potentially catch Mega Hera by surprise. For the sake of justifying Jolly's other perks, running it gives you the jump on standard Rotom-W, which is huge considering its popularity and tendency to annoy Azu. Other benefits include being faster than the likes of Suicune and bulky SD Mega Scizor, which can definitely be useful in a few situations. If you don't mind being walled by Ferro, Jolly Azu can also use Double-Edge over Superpower to outpace and deal 50.6 - 59.8% to offensive Mega Venu and 2HKO most defensive variants with SR up.

Name: Skarmory
Status: Check

Skarmory @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Roost
- Spikes
- Brave Bird
- Whirlwind

Skarmory can come in on any move not named Close Combat, live another hit and OHKO Mega Heracross in return with Brave Bird. If Stealth Rock isn't up, Mega Heracross cannot even 2HKO it with Close Combat.

76+ Atk Mega Heracross Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 145-172 (43.4 - 51.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
76+ Atk Mega Heracross Rock Blast (5 hits) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 105-125 (31.4 - 37.4%) -- approx. 0% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
0 Atk Skarmory Brave Bird vs. 248 HP / 84 Def Mega Heracross: 352-420 (96.9 - 115.7%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO

Dusclops @ Eviolite
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Destiny Bond
- Pain Split
- Night Shade
- Will-O-Wisp

Dusclops is a Pokemon I have seen quite a bit of - on the lower ladder. However, it's ability to counter M-Heracross deserves a mention. Heracross's strongest move (Rock Blast) deals a maximum of 31%, while CC does literally zero. Dusclops is able to break Sub with Night Shade, and is able to burn Heracross when not behind a sub.

Calcs:
76+ Atk Mega Heracross Rock Blast (5 hits) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Dusclops: 75-90 (26.4 - 31.6%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
76+ Atk Mega Heracross Pin Missile (5 hits) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Dusclops: 55-65 (19.3 - 22.8%) -- possible 5HKO
Dusclops Night Shade vs. 248 HP Mega Heracross: 100-100 (27.5 - 27.5%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
76+ Atk burned Mega Heracross Pin Missile (5 hits) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Dusclops: 25-30 (8.8 - 10.5%) -- possibly the worst move ever
76+ Atk burned Mega Heracross Rock Blast (5 hits) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Dusclops: 35-45 (12.3 - 15.8%) -- possible 7HKO
+2 76+ Atk burned Mega Heracross Rock Blast (5 hits) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Dusclops: 70-85 (24.6 - 29.9%) -- approx. 100% chance to 4HKO
+2 76+ Atk burned Mega Heracross Pin Missile (5 hits) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Dusclops: 50-65 (17.6 - 22.8%) -- possible 5HKO

As is clearly visible, Dusclop is able to cripple and outdamage Heracross. If you switch in at low health, you can recover with a Pain Split.

reserving sylveon i guess. all the other good fairies are taken :/

Sylveon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 240 HP / 252 SpA / 16 Spe
Modest Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Psyshock
- Hidden Power Fire
- Baton Pass

Really self explanatory. Hyper voice hits through sub and you live anything Mega Hera tries to do. tbh the other fairies mentioned before are probably better, but this has the benefit of not being a mega!

Gliscor
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Def / 4 Spe
Impish Nature
- Roost
- Swords Dance
- Acrobatics
- Earthquake

This may not exactly be the most common gliscor set, but it most certainly has some use on certain fat sand balances that need a check to common balance breakers, most notably mhera. It can murder mhera with acro while also taking not too much from rock blast.

AraEdit: Alba already nommed this with a slightly different spread, which I didn't think warranted a separate mention in the list.
