scizor.gif

Scizor @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Superpower
- Pursuit

If Latias has not set up yet, Scizor can switch in on any of its moves and OHKO it with U-Turn.

However, if it has set up, Thunderbolt and Surf can 2HKO if the damage rolls are in Latias' favor. It also has problems switching in if Latias is at +4, but that situation is somewhat rare.

Offensive:
252+ Atk Choice Band Technician Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 248 HP / 8 Def Mega Latias: 138-163 (38 - 44.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Scizor U-turn vs. 248 HP / 8 Def Mega Latias: 320-380 (88.1 - 104.6%) -- 25% chance to OHKO

Medicham @ Medichamite
Ability: Pure Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant / Jolly Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Ice Punch
- Bullet Punch / Zen Headbutt / Thunder Punch
- Fake Out

Thanks bludz and recreant for helping me w/ the slashes :)

Slowbro @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 SpD
Bold Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Slack Off
- Scald
- Psyshock

Shrugs off every single attack bar Thunder Punch, which it can live with quite a lot of comfort room. Meanwhile, Slowbro threatens to either burn it with Scald or paralyze it with Thunder Wave. Therefore, it is a hard check.

sableye-mega.gif

Sableye @ Sablenite
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 112 Def / 144 SpD
Careful Nature
- Knock Off
- Will-O-Wisp
- Recover
- Foul Play

While it's not having the best time in the metgame right now, Mega Sableye is probably the best counter you can have for Medicham on stall, and one of the best defensive counters in general. Mega Sableye is immune to both High Jump Kick (making Mega Medicham chunk half of its health away if Sableye is able to switch in on this attack) and Zen Headbutt, which is extremely helpful as even resists can take a hefty chunk from the former. The only way Mega Medicham can even touch Mega Sableye is through Ice Punch or Thunder Punch, which do a pretty pathetic amount of damage, so it can only actually win through Freeze or Paralysis hax, which is ridiculously unlikely. Mega Sableye can burn Mega Medicham and make it even more of a liability, Recover off any damage and wear it down with Foul Play.
Mega Medicham High Jump Kick vs. Mega Sableye: 0-0 (0 - 0%) -- aim for the horn next time

252 Atk Pure Power Mega Medicham Ice Punch vs. 252 HP / 112 Def Mega Sableye: 102-121 (33.5 - 39.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

252 Atk Pure Power Mega Medicham Bullet Punch vs. 252 HP / 112 Def Mega Sableye: 55-65 (18 - 21.3%) -- possible 5HKO

0 Atk Mega Sableye Foul Play vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Medicham: 148-175 (56.7 - 67%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Spiritomb @ Leftovers
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Def
Adamant Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Pursuit
- Will-O-Wisp
- Foul Play

Spiritomb is a Hard Check or Counter to Mega Medicham. It's able to make massive mind games by having the option to Pursuit trap Mega Cham, hit it hard with priority Sucker Punch if it attacks, burn it with Will-O-Wisp, or go on the offensive and do massive damage with Foul Play. It also prevents Cham from using HJK and survives any move from it, although Ice/Thunder Punch has a chance to 2HKO after Rocks. Overall, Tomb is a great answer to MegaCham that has priority and Pursuit to differentiate itself from Mega Sableye.

Cresselia @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 40 Def / 220 SpD
Calm Nature
- Moonlight
- Psychic
- Ice Beam
- Thunder Wave / Toxic

Cresselia's pure psychic typing and out of this world bulk let it easily eat hits from even adamant Mega Medicham, heal off the damage, and whittle it down with Psychic. This mon is probably the most solid Mega Medicham counter in the game.

0 SpA Cresselia Psychic vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Medicham: 88-105 (33.7 - 40.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

252+ Atk Pure Power Mega Medicham High Jump Kick vs. 248 HP / 40 Def Cresselia: 160-189 (36.1 - 42.6%) -- 95.7% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Pure Power Mega Medicham Ice Punch vs. 248 HP / 40 Def Cresselia: 124-146 (27.9 - 32.9%) -- 86% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Pure Power Mega Medicham Bullet Punch vs. 248 HP / 40 Def Cresselia: 67-79 (15.1 - 17.8%) -- possible 8HKO after Leftovers recovery

Mew @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 Spe
Bold Nature
- Defog
- Softboiled
- Will-O-Wisp
- Volt Switch

Volt Switch defensive Mew is a really neat set that I heard about recently that I have had a lot of fun using; mono-Psychic typing is pretty neat besides the usage of Pursuit due to letting Mew take Medicham's hits with ease with its great bulk. Will-O-Wisp cripples Medicham, and Volt Switch is to take advantage of switches that it forces against Medicham and other mons or to do a slow switch into something that can outspeed and OHKO. And you can switch in with ease, as Medicham has no way to 2HKO you even with Rocks up, and of course, it doesn't appreciate burns at all:

252+ Atk Pure Power Mega Medicham High Jump Kick vs. 252 HP / 144+ Def Mew: 153-180 (37.8 - 44.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Metagross @ Metagrossite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Zen Headbutt
- Hammer Arm
- Ice Punch

Metagross can switch in on any of Mega Medicham's attacks (except High Jump Kick, which OHKOs if the damage rolls are in Medicham's favor), Mega Evolve, then OHKO it with Meteor Mash.

Offensive:
252 Atk Tough Claws Mega Metagross Meteor Mash vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Medicham: 237-280 (90.8 - 107.2%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO

Doublade takes no damage from Fake Out and HJK and at most, takes 20% from Medicham's other moves, whereas it can just 2HKO it with Gyro Ball.
4 Atk Doublade Gyro Ball (111 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Medicham: 150-177 (57.4 - 67.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Cofagrigus @ Leftovers
Ability: Mummy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Toxic Spikes
- Pain Split
- Hex
- Will-O-Wisp

Not the most viable Pokemon in OU but Cofagrigus laughs off Mega Medicham's attacks, takes away Pure Power and can cripple it with Will-O-Wisp. Hex also OHKOes Mega Medicham if it is status-ed. You can also laugh if Mega Medicham tries to be funny and click HJK.

252+ Atk Pure Power Medicham Zen Headbutt vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Cofagrigus: 97-115 (30.3 - 35.9%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

: Mega Slowbro

Slowbro @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Slack Off
- Thunder Wave
- Psyshock

252+ Atk Pure Power Mega Medicham Thunder Punch vs. 252 HP / 232+ Def Mega Slowbro: 142-168 (36 - 42.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after SR

0 SpA Mega Slowbro Scald/Psyshock vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Medicham: 124-147 (47.5 - 56.3%) -- 84% chance to 2HKO
0 SpA Mega Slowbro Scald vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Medicham: 124-147 (47.5 - 56.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Thanks to its natural physical bulk, Mega Slowbro can stomach every move thrown at it and proceed to cripple Medicham.
Both Scald and Psyshock are a very solid 3HKO (Scald's burn is not reliable) which is a clean 2HKO with Rocks up.

Mega Slowbro eats a Thunder Punch (worst case scenario) on the switch-in on M-Medicham;
Mega Slowbro eats another Thunder Punch (now it is at 14,8% HP) and uses Thunder Wave (now the bulky water outspeeds even Jolly M-Medicham);
Mega Slowbro uses Slack Off (now it is at 64,8% HP) and MMedicham tries to attack: if Medicham is paralyzed even only once, this is enough to gain the upper hand.

Pinsir-Mega @ Pinsirite
Ability: Hyper Cutter
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Return
- Quick Attack
- Close Combat / Earthquake
- Swords Dance

If Pinsir has already Mega Evolved, it can come on High Jump Kick or any priority move and threaten to KO Medicham with Return.

VS Mega Medicham:
252 Atk Aerilate Mega Pinsir Return vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Medicham: 566-668 (216.8 - 255.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Aerilate Mega Pinsir Quick Attack vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Medicham: 222-264 (85 - 101.1%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO (~44% after one round of SR, if base Pinsir tries to revenge kill Medicham)

VS base Pinsir (Adamant Mega Medicham):

Reuniclus @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 200 Def / 56 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast / Shadow Ball
- Recover

Reuniclus takes jack all from any of Medicham's attacks and can set up all over Medicham. The strongest hit that Mega Medicham can deal is with High Jump Kick, and it only does this:

252 Atk Pure Power Mega Medicham High Jump Kick vs. 252 HP / 200+ Def Reuniclus: 161-190 (37.9 - 44.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Pure Power Mega Medicham High Jump Kick vs. 252 HP / 200+ Def Reuniclus: 177-208 (41.7 - 49%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Between Leftovers and Recover, you can heal up on even adamant Medicham (including fishing for misses) and slowly accumulate boosts until you feel ready to do a number on the opponent's team.

Also this is a thing:
0 SpA Reuniclus Psyshock vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Medicham: 118-141 (45.2 - 54%) -- 91.8% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Hawlucha @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Unburden
EVs: 12 HP / 244 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Acrobatics
- Swords Dance
- Substitute

Hawlucha is a check to Mega Medicham through virtue of it's Flying STAB. Most Medicham variants in this day and age often run Fake Out / Ice Punch / Thunder Punch / High Jump Kick which is an opportune set for Hawlucha to setup on. Due to it naturally being faster it can continuously setup Subs as Medicham uses one of it's elemental punches (if it doesn't switch-out) and activate it's ability Unburden and doubling the power of Acrobatics after the Sitrus Berry is consumed. It then nabs a clean OHKO with Acrobatics.

244 Atk Hawlucha Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Medicham: 320-380 (122.6 - 145.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Lol going alongside the ghost route, here's shedinja! An effective counter pretty much assuming no hazards are on the field as it can easily switch into any of mega medicham's moves and just laugh at it, watching it do zero! Due to the aid of wonder guard mega medicham cannot hit it in the slighest lol and shedinja can threaten with a wisp or shadow sneak. But sadly smogon doesn't promote ghosting :(.
