Breloom can OHKO Crawdaunt with Mach Punch and can resist a Aqua Jet.
Its damaged from Knock Off anc Crabhammer seccuring 2HKO but priority Mach Punch gives OHKo being faster than Crawdaunt.
Other Grass types like Chenaught resists both STABS but loses versus Air Slash or Blizzard variants. Mega venusaur, virizion whos benefit from Knock Off due to Defiant,
Whismicoot, Ferro and Tangrowth.
Mega Abosmanow can deal with Crawdaunt, but cannot resist a Knock Off +2 before SR. Also amoongus
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Toxicroak and Heliolisk can OHKO Crawdaunt with a Fighting STAB move and their inmunity to water due to their ability, Dry Skin.
Mega Venusaur is a great azumarill's counter, due to its typing which allows it to tank aqua jet and play rough well. Thank to its bulkiness it can tank knock off too, also if azumarill is a fast version.

Toxicroak is a great answer to BD Azu, as while it can't really switch in due to fear of Play Rough (it does have only a 25% chance to OHKO after Rocks, but no human is risking that, lol), it can easily revenge a +6 Azu, being immune to Aqua Jet and being able to OHKO back with Gunk Shot.
252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Gunk Shot vs. 92 HP / 0 Def Azumarill: 530-627 (145.6 - 172.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Timid Nature
Tentacruel switches in as Azumarill Belly Drums, and takes around 50% from Aqua Jet before it gets a chance to use Haze, at which point Azumarill is pretty much useless. It can't do all that much back, but Azumarill nonetheless presents Tentacruel with free turns for hazard control, and will likely switch out anyway to avoid a Scald burn.
While most Clefable sets are setup bait for Azumarill, Unaware Clefable is not, especially if running a fully physdef spread. You can even bait it into using Belly Drum (or switch in on it) as long as it has not figured out your set yet. Moonblast will 2HKO Azumarill after rocks, BD, and Sitrus Berry. Azumarill is faster, but Thunder Wave can help with that. Be careful of Knock Off, however, as Play Rough has about a 45% chance to 2HKO after rocks if Leftovers are gone.
252+ Atk Huge Power Azumarill Play Rough vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Clefable: 157-186 (39.9 - 47.3%) -- 45.3% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock (1.2% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery)

Volcanion @ Choice Specs
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Steam Eruption
- Flamethrower
- Sludge Bomb
- Hidden Power Grass / Earth Power
Volcanion is a fantastic switch-in to Azumarill, as, thanks to Water Absorb, it is immune to Aqua Jet (and recovers any health lost if it switches in on that) and resists Play Rough. In return, it can do massive damage with Steam Eruption if predicting a switch or straight up OHKO with Sludge Bomb. It's not really a solid counter because Knock Off takes a decent chunk of HP and makes Volcanion lose its Choice Specs which blows, and repeated switch ins to Stealth Rock can wear it down, but it's certainly one of the best offensive checks available.
252+ SpA Choice Specs Volcanion Sludge Bomb vs. 92 HP / 0 SpD Azumarill: 388-458 (106.5 - 125.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Whimsicott @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Giga Drain
- Moonblast
- U-turn
- Encore
Whimsicott is oddly a great check to Azu, as with full investment it's suprisingly bulky. While it can come in and live any two hits thanks to leftovers, I've chosen it as a check because any slight chip damage and it's not stomaching 2 Play Roughs without healing from giga drain, which doesn't OHKO (even after a BD).
However, it can switch in on absolutely any attack, and proceed to heal off the damage. But what really makes Whimsi act as a great answer is Encore; if Azu proceeds to Belly Drum on the switch, you can fire off an Encore and lock him into it, making it set up bait or simply beatable with 2 Giga Drains! And to add to it, its not even 2HKOed by +6 Aqua Jet.
252+ Atk Huge Power Azumarill Play Rough vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Whimsicott: 144-169 (44.4 - 52.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Mega Aggron is a great azu counter, not only it resist play rough, it can also hit back azumarill with heavy slam for HEAVY damage. c: +6 Play Rough is barley a 2 hit ko to Mega Aggron. And non boosted play rough does jack shit to M-Aggron. Well in the other hand, mega aggron can 100% 2 hit ko azu.

Outspeeds Azumarill, has a quadruple resistance to Aqua Jet, and OHKOs with Leaf Storm. Obviously can't switch in because it's a Dragon-type and Play Rough really hurts it.
+6 252+ Atk Huge Power Azumarill Aqua Jet vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Sceptile: 100-118 (35.5 - 41.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

A one-time check to Belly Drum Azumarill. It outspeeds Azumarill, forcing it to use Aqua Jet (Latios can take a +6 one barring a crit) and KOes back with Thunderbolt. Unlike Psyshock, Thunderbolt always OHKOes Azumarill after Belly Drum HP loss + Sitrus recovery (Psyshock doesn't always KO 75% HP Azumarill even after Stealth Rock, as SR removes 45 HP, then Belly Drum + Sitrus puts Azu at 228 HP and you have only a 37.5% chance to KO Azu from there).
Against Latios:

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split
Because the listed variant of Azumarill is adamant as opposed to jolly, slow Rotom-W is able to take it on reasonably consistently courtesy of it's resistance to Aqua Jet and it's ability to hit Azumarill super effectively with Volt Switch--stopping it from being able to Belly Drum before it is taken down.
252+ Atk Huge Power Azumarill Play Rough vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Rotom-W: 123-145 (40.5 - 47.8%) -- 5.9% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
While it is by definition, in practice it isn't really consistent enough to be called a counter because it has to alternate between Wish and Protect to really take it on at all. This is a much more abusable thing than simply recovering every turn, and combined with how easy it is to ware Clefable into range of 2 Play Roughs due to the lack of either Magic Guard or Softboiled and how easy it is to simply knock it's Leftovers off to stop it taking 2 hits after Stealth Rock, it is in a similar position to Heatran versus MG+CM Clefable in that it isn't a true counter.
