Overview
########
  • Fast Sun team user with its ability; Chlorophyll
  • Frail due to its HP and Defenses
  • Good offensive stats
  • Versatility
  • Many resists give it switch-in opportunities
  • Resistant to common priorities
  • Can setup both Attack and Special Attack
  • Without Sun, Victreebel is slow.
  • Resists five different types
Sun Special Sweeper
########
name: Sun Special Sweeper
move 1: Solar Beam
move 2: Weather Ball
move 3: Sludge Bomb / Sunny Day
move 4: Sleep Powder / Growth
ability: Chlorophyll
item: Life Orb
evs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
nature: Modest

Moves
========
  • Solar Beam is another hard hitting STAB, main spamming attack and great when paired with Sunny Day; avoids wasting a turn to set up
  • Weather Ball is to deal with those Steel type Pokemon which aren't affected by one of Victreebel STAB and resist the other.
  • Sludge Bomb is a hard hitting STAB move with the chance to Poison the opponent. Allows to hit Fire types neutrally and a bonus of smashing Fairies types too
  • Sunny Day can be used to benefit the rest of Victreebels moves but it is still best to have another Pokemon on the team with access to Sunny Day
  • Sleep Powder is self explanatory really; put Pokemon to sleep and proceed to dish out hard hits or use this chance to get up Sun/switch out
  • Growth is for setting up that Special Attack and Attack even though it isn't needed here with the combination of Sun making it rise by two stages rather one each time it is used
  • Giga Drain hits Water-types, doesn't rely on sun and is a reliable Grass STAB. It still hits hard and also allows Victreebel to get back some recovery when using it
Set Details
========
  • Life Orb is to deal out as much power as possible while at the same time, avoiding being locked into one move. It won't be taking hits so you need to make this quick
  • 252 Special Attack and Modest nature to max out the special hits being given out
  • 252 Speed to ensure you're out-speeding Pokemon with the combination of Chlorophyll and Sun being up
  • Timid can be used as the cost of some loss of power however it helps the team by using Sleep Powder + Sunny Day to outspeed neutral base Speed 80s such as Adamant Kabutops and Modest Mesperit to put them to sleep and set up sun
Usage Tips
========
  • Sun IS NEEDED even if not used on Victreebel but instead another team mate.
  • Can clean up Pokemon with low health already nearing to the end of the game
  • Fast sweeper(when in Sun) dealing out hard hits with STAB Sludge Bomb and Solarbeam
  • Victreebel needs to utilize its sun turns well with only 5-8 turns to use Solarbeam; its actually forced to have sun up
  • Weather Ball is dependent on the sun; without it, it stays at a base power of 50 and Normal-typing thereby letting Steel-types wall Victreebel easily. When in sun it hits a base power of 100, gives it a Fire-typing and allows Victreebel to hit Poison-types hard neutrally.
Team Options
========
  • Pokemon such as Liepard, Exeggutor and Regirock which can set up Sun and support Victreebel when it comes in trying to set up and proceed to clean/sweep like
  • Hazards so that Pokemon which come in are worn down in HP to the point where Victreebel just needs to hit it once or twice and avoid taking damage
  • Pokemon which resist Victreebels weakness or can take them well are essential in being able to take hits due to Victreebel being frail
  • Pokemon which also benefit from Sun also such as Typhlosion, Sawsbuck and Exeggutor
Mixed Attacker
########
name: Mixed Attacker
move 1: Growth / Sleep Powder
move 2: Power Whip
move 3: Double-Edge
move 4: Sludge Bomb
ability: Chlorophyll
item: Life Orb
evs: 192 Atk / 64 SpA / 252 Spe
nature: Naughty

Moves
========
  • Growth is for setting up that Special Attack and Attack; combined with Sun making it rise by two stages rather one each time it is used allowing Victreebel to hit from both sides and clean-up/sweep
  • Sleep Powder is for putting Pokemon to sleep in which then hard hits from both specially and physical sides can be fired of against the opposing Pokemon
  • Power Whip, although the risk of missing is annoying and lack of PP, it's Victreebel most powerful Grass type STAB and can hit Ground and Water type Pokemon
  • Double Edge can 2HKO Dragalge after Stealth Rock damage and can OHKO after using Growth
  • Sludge Bomb is for hitting Fire and Fairy type Pokemon. It has a 30% chance of poisoning the opponent and is Victreebel most reliable Poison type STAB
Set Details
========
  • Life Orb is used so Victreebel is doing maximum damage with its hard hitting moves without being forced into getting locked in
  • 252 Speed so that it can outspeed Pokemon and when benefited with Chlorophyll and Sun makes it even better
  • The Attack EVs are to make sure that Dragalge is a definate 2HKO by Life Orb Double Edge after being damaged by Stealth Rocks
  • The remainder of the EVs are put into Special Attack to ensure that Victreebel is benefitting from both sides of offense
Usage Tips
========
  • Victreebel could always benefit with Sun support and with this set; this is one of them. Allowing Growth to go up two stages rather than one
  • This set can be used as a late-game sweeper if the Sun support was provided allowing it to gain a high speed and dish out hard hits; you'll want a Growth boost though
  • You don't want to reveal Double Edge to early into the game if you see Dragalge. Play around the opponent and catch them off guard
  • Great wallbreaker after setting up with Growth and reaching Victreebels full potential
Team Options
========
  • Bulky Pokemon which can resist Victreebels weakness
  • Hazard support so the opposing Pokemon wither down in health to the point where Victreebels hits are either an OHKO or 2HKO
  • Pokemon which have access to Sunny Day such as Regirock, Uxie and Probopass
  • Other Pokemon on the team which can benefit from Sunny Day can be equally as nice to have on the team
  • Pokemon which can give Victreebel a free switch such as Volbeat with access to Sunny Day and U-turn
Other Options
########
  • Hidden Power Fire
  • Encore
  • Sucker Punch
  • Swords Dance
  • Knock Off
  • Leaf Blade
Checks & Counters
########

**Flying Types**: Can't switch in on Victreebel but can easily check it with their STAB Flying attacks forcing it to either faint or get OHKO due to its poor defensive stats

**Poison Types**: Poison-type Pokemon can take both of Victreebels STAB moves and retaliate with moves of their own to the point where Victreebel will get OHKOed or 2HKOed. Dragalge, unlike other Poison-types can also wall Weather Ball due to its part Dragon-typing making it so the Sun Special Sweeper attacks are completely walled.

**Specially Defensive Behemoths**: Pokemon like Lickilicky, Hariyama and Audino can take a hit or two and 3HKO or 2HKO back.

**Liepard**: Can check Victreebel with Encore by locking it in as it sets up sun or going for priority Rain Dance while it has its sun up already.

**Kangaskhan**: Kangaskhan can waste sun turns with Fake Out, can take one hit from LO Solarbeam and hit back with Return. If its already weakened because of Victreebels poor Defenses hit it can hit with Sucker Punch instead to finish it.

Overview
########
Victreebel is a Pokemon that sun teams appreciate; with its ability Chlorophyll raising its Speed and its good offensive stats, it's a great sweeper. Victreebel's high Attack and Special Attack make it versatile. It resists five different types, which grants it many opportunities to switch in and either set up sun or boost both its offensive stats with Growth. Victreebel is resistant to common priority moves, such as Aqua Jet; this, however, doesn't make up for Victreebel's frailness, not to mention its poor Speed outside of sun.

Sun Special Sweeper
########
name: Sun Special Sweeper
move 1: Solar Beam
move 2: Weather Ball
move 3: Sludge Bomb / Sunny Day
move 4: Sleep Powder / Growth
ability: Chlorophyll
item: Life Orb
evs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
nature: Modest

Moves
========
Solar Beam is a hard-hitting STAB move and Victreebel's main spamming attack; only use it when Sunny Day is up, as this bypasses its charging turn. Weather Ball, combined with the sun, is used to hit Steel- and Poison-type Pokemon, which resist Victreebel's STAB moves. Sludge Bomb is a reliable Poison-type attack with a 30% chance to poison the opponent; it allows Victreebel to hit Fire-type Pokemon neutrally and Fairy-type Pokemon, such as Slurpuff, super effectively. Sunny Day is an option instead of Sludge Bomb, as it benefits the rest of Victreebel's moves and gives it the Chlorophyll boost. However, there should be a sun setter on the team whether or not Victreebel is running Sunny Day. Sleep Powder is used for putting Pokemon to sleep and for Victreebel to proceed with firing off hard hits, switching out, or getting up sun. Growth is another option, as it allows Victreebel to boost its Special Attack and Attack; combining it with Sunny Day causes it to boost Victreebel's stats by two stages rather than one. Giga Drain can be used, as it doesn't rely on sun and still hits Water-type Pokemon hard enough, while getting some recovery back.

Set Details
========
Life Orb allows Victreebel to deal out as much damage as possible without getting locked into one move; it's not built on taking hits, so Victreebel wants to 2HKO or OHKO Pokemon as quickly as possible. Maximum Special Attack investment is also used to deal the highest amount of damage possible. The 252 EVs in Speed are used to ensure that Victreebel will outspeed most Pokemon when Sunny Day is up, due to Chlorophyll. A Timid nature can be used at the cost of some power; however, if you opt for Sleep Powder and Sunny Day, it helps Victreebel and the team by allowing it to outspeed neutral-natured base 80 Speed Pokemon outside of sun, such as Adamant Kabutops and Modest Mesprit, and proceed to put them to sleep and set up the sun.

Usage Tips
========
Sun support is mandatory with this set; without it, Victreebel needs to waste a turn charging Solar Beam, and its Speed becomes a liability. With the sun, Weather Ball not only becomes a Fire-type move that can be used for hitting Steel-type Pokemon super effectively and Poison-type Pokemon neutrally, but it also gets a boost in Base Power to 150; without sun, it stays a Normal-type move and has a base power of 50. Victreebel can clean up Pokemon that are low on health near the end of the battle; it's a fast sweeper when in sun and is able to deal out powerful hits with its STAB Sludge Bomb and Solar Beam. Victreebel needs to utilize the sun turns well, as it only has 5-8 turns to use its attacks. Even if Sunny Day is used on Victreebel's set, you want another teammate to get up the sun.

Team Options
========
Sun setters, such as Liepard, Exeggutor, and Regirock, are appreciated, as Victreebel can't reliably set up Sunny Day by itself due to how frail it is. Liepard has priority on Sunny Day due to Prankster, and Exeggutor and Regirock can take hits much better than Victreebel. Entry hazard setters, such as Crustle, make great teammates, as they help wear down switch-ins to the point where Victreebel can OHKO or 2HKO them without taking an attack. Pokemon that resist Victreebel's weaknesses or can take them well, such as Assault Vest Hariyama for Fire-type attacks, are a great help; this is extra appreciated due to Victreebel's frailness. Victreebel also pairs well with other teammates that benefit from the sun, such as Typhlosion for the boost to Fire-type attacks, Sawsbuck for the Speed boost from Chlorophyll, and Exeggutor with its abilities Chlorophyll and Harvest.

Mixed Attacker
########
name: Mixed Attacker
move 1: Growth / Sleep Powder
move 2: Power Whip
move 3: Double-Edge
move 4: Sludge Bomb
ability: Chlorophyll
item: Life Orb
evs: 192 Atk / 64 SpA / 252 Spe
nature: Naughty

Moves
========
Growth allows Victreebel to boost both its Attack and Special Attack; due to this set being a mixed set, it is even more effective. Sleep Powder is another option for putting Pokemon to sleep and then dishing out hard hits, both physical and special. Power Whip, although risky with its 85% accuracy and low PP, is Victreebel's most powerful Grass-type STAB move. Double-Edge allows Victreebel to cleanly 2HKO Dragalge after Stealth Rock damage, a Pokemon that walls specially based sets; after using Growth, Victreebel can cleanly OHKO Dragalge. Sludge Bomb is for hitting Grass- and Fire-type Pokemon and has a 30% chance to poison.

Set Details
========
Life Orb is used so that Victreebel is doing a maximum amount of damage without being locked into one move. The 252 Speed EVs are used so that it can outspeed most Pokemon in the tier in sun with the Chlorophyll Speed boost. The Attack EVs are just enough to ensure that Dragalge, after being damaged by Stealth Rock, is always 2HKOed by a Life Orb-boosted Double-Edge. The remainder of the EVs are put into Special Attack to allow Victreebel to hit hard both physically and specially.

Usage Tips
========
Victreebel really appreciates sun support with this set, as it allows Growth to boost its Attack and Special Attack two stages rather than one. This set can be used for a late-game sweep if Sunny Day support is provided, as this allows Victreebel to gain the Speed needed; it needs a Growth boost, though. Victreebel doesn't want to reveal Double-Edge or Power Whip too early in the game if there is a Dragalge on the opposing team; play around the opponent and catch them off guard without revealing the mixed set until it is essential. Victreebel is also a great wallbreaker after setting up a Growth.

Team Options
========
Victreebel appreciates bulky Pokemon that resist its weaknesses or take them well, such as Steelix, Hariyama, and Lickilicky. Entry hazard support is appreciated from Pokemon such as Ferroseed and Crustle to make sure that Pokemon switching in are at a low enough health to be OHKOed or 2HKOed by Victreebel's attacks. Sunny Day users, such as Regirock, Uxie, and Probopass, help your team, as you don't rely on Victreebel for Sunny Day. Other Pokemon that benefit from Sunny Day are also good teammates, such as Typhlosion and Pyroar. Victreebel wants a free switch, so a slow U-turn and Sunny Day user, such as Volbeat, is appreciated too.

Other Options
########
Hidden Power Fire is more reliable than Weather Ball, as it allows Victreebel to hit Steel- and Poison-type Pokemon respectively when sun isn't up. Encore can be used for locking Pokemon into one move so that Victreebel can either get a free turn to boost or set up sun. Sucker Punch is a priority attack that hits hard with its 80 Base Power. Swords Dance can be used over Growth for boosting the Attack stat by two stages if sun proves to be unreliable on the mixed set. Knock Off hits hard and removes the item of the opposing Pokemon. Leaf Blade has 100% accuracy, making it much more reliable than Power Whip, and still has 90 Base Power; it also has a high critical-hit ratio.

Checks & Counters
########

**Flying-types**: Flying-types, such as Archeops and Vivillon, can't switch in on Victreebel but can easily check it with their STAB attacks when the sun isn't up, forcing it to either switch out or get OHKOed due to its poor defensive stats. Double switches can force Victreebel into this situation against Archeops at full HP, which even Timid Victreebel can't outspeed, leaving it to take an Acrobatics or switch out; that the opponent can predict this and go for U-turn.

**Poison-types**: Poison-type Pokemon, such as Garbodor, can take both of Victreebel's STAB moves and wear Victreebel down with moves of their own to the point where it will get OHKOed or 2HKOed. Dragalge, unlike other Poison-types, also resists Weather Ball due to its Dragon typing, completely walling the special sun sweeper's attacks.

**Specially Defensive Behemoths**: Specially defensive Pokemon such as Lickilicky, Hariyama, and Audino, can take a hit or two and retaliate with their own attacks by 3HKOing or 2HKOing Victreebel. Lickilicky can come in on the turn Victreebel sets up Sunny Day or Growth, live a hit, and proceed to use Dragon Tail to force Victreebel out or Body Slam with the chance of Victreebel getting paralyzed.

**Liepard**: Liepard can check Victreebel with Prankster Encore by locking it in as it sets up Sunny Day or Growth; it can also go for priority Rain Dance while Victreebel has its sun up already. Liepard comes in on the turn that Victreebel is using Sunny Day, and Victreebel either gets locked into Encore or switches; the opponent can predict this and go for Thunder Wave on the incoming Pokemon or use U-turn to gain momentum.

**Kangaskhan**: Kangaskhan can waste sun turns with Fake Out by making Victreebel unable to attack one turn; Kangaskhan can also take one hit from Life Orb Solar Beam and hit back with Return. If Victreebel is already weakened because of its poor defenses, Kangaskhan can finish it off with Sucker Punch instead to avoid taking unnecessary damage.

SolarBeam is Victree's STAB and main spamming attack, mention it before Weather Ball.

Sludge Bomb isn't primarily to hit Grass-types (especially when Weather Ball is stronger and hits Plume + Seed); Sludge Bomb's main function is to hit Fire-types, with the side bonus of smashing Fairy-types.

Edit: Darnell Bro u didn't change ur set's moves, as well as not elaborating on the Sunny Day mention.

Done the Edit, thanks Punchshroom :]

Will finish the skeleton when I get home

EDIT: Nevermind; was bored during school and finished it in ICT taking some points from the previous anaylsis. This is ready for QC :) Fire away!

remove wish support from sun's team option, there's no space on sun to fit clerics

Regirock is a better rock-type sun setter than Rampardos. Probopass is too. You might want to mention Volbeat too maybe (Sun + slow uturn)

mention other sun abusers, like sawsbuck, fire-types, etc

will look at it more this afternoon

edit: in C&C remove bulky sap sipper, none of them will enjoy taking a Weather Ball / Sludge Bomb

Idk, is Solar Beam really the best STAB for Victreebel? I mean, while it's in Sun the majority of the time, Energy Ball seems much more consistent overall, as it has a reasonably high BP and allows Victreebel to still hit things outside of Sun. I mean, are there any notable KO's Solar Beam achieves?

On a side note, Solarbeam should be Solar Beam and Double Edge should be Double-Edge :o

I think at most I should slash Energy Ball next to Solar Beam or include it in OO but the whole point of the set is really vital in Sun Support

Let's face it, if Victreebel is caught out without Sun chances are it won't be going very far anyway. There is also the fact that Solar Beam is Victreebel's strongest attack (its second strongest being Weather Ball), as min damage Solar Beam is very slightly stronger than max damage Weather Ball.

Here are examples of OHKOes Solar Beam gets that its other moves cannot:
252+ SpA Life Orb Victreebel Solar Beam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mismagius: 224-265 (85.8 - 101.5%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252+ SpA Life Orb Victreebel Solar Beam vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Rotom: 290-343 (95.3 - 112.8%) -- 75% chance to OHKO
252+ SpA Life Orb Victreebel Solar Beam vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Electivire: 298-351 (102.4 - 120.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ SpA Life Orb Victreebel Solar Beam vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Sawk: 296-348 (101.3 - 119.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ SpA Life Orb Victreebel Solar Beam vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Qwilfish: 376-445 (112.5 - 133.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ SpA Life Orb Victreebel Solar Beam vs. 40 HP / 216+ SpD Lanturn: 416-491 (103.7 - 122.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252+ SpA Life Orb Victreebel Solar Beam vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Audino: 368-434 (89.7 - 105.8%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO
+2 252+ SpA Life Orb Victreebel Solar Beam vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Uxie: 370-437 (104.5 - 123.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Bar Mismagius, all of those threats can survive Weather Ball (or in Qwilfish's case, Energy Ball) if SR / Spikes is not in play, and Victreebel is all about power. The bigger reason to use Solar Beam is that it gives Victreebel more nuking power. Energy Ball is only as strong as Sludge Bomb, and Sludge Bomb tends to only be Victreebel's "backup move" when Weather Ball is spammed more often, so lumping Energy Ball alongside it doesn't seem to be the best use of Victreebel's time. Victreebel is already receiving Sun support from its teammates, at that point it would far favor power over 'consistency'. Victreebel is not like Eggy in that it can function well outside of Sun; it needs Sun to even be considered a threatening sweeper, so why not give it Solar Beam?

STAB attacks cover every type besides Steel at least neutrally
This is extremely incorrect.

Excuse my stupidity :) I was half asleep when adding some points. It's been removed.

Current first set:

Sun Special Sweeper
########
name: Sun Special Sweeper
move 1: Solar Beam
move 2: Weather Ball
move 3: Sludge Bomb / Sunny Day
move 4: Growth / Sleep Powder
ability: Chlorophyll
item: Life Orb
evs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
nature: Modest

tbh I don't think Victreebel will often have the chance to boost (and Vic is already strong). I think something like this would be better:

Sun Special Sweeper
########
name: Sun Special Sweeper
move 1: Solar Beam
move 2: Weather Ball
move 3: Sludge Bomb / Sunny Day
move 4: Sleep Powder
ability: Chlorophyll
item: Life Orb
evs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
nature: Modest

With Growth in Moves.

Mention Timid in Set Details. It is really situational and Victreebel loses some power, but it can be used if your team is afraid of Altaria or if you run Sleep Powder + Sunny day and want to be able to outspeed Max Speed neutral 80s such as Mesprit and Kabutops to put them to sleep and get up the sun.

In Usage Tips, make sure to mention that Victreebel needs to use the sun turns properly. it will only have 5-8 turns to use Solarbeam (heck, maybe even mention that Victreebel is FORCED to have sun up to be able to use Solarbeam). This makes me remeber that you can probably mention Giga Drain or Energy Ball in Moves as it can come in handy for Victreebel to be able to beat Water-types outside of sun.

Lilligant and Leafeon aren't really good Sun abusers to mention in TO. You should talk about Exeggutor.

In C&C, remove Cradily form the SpDef stuff. Talk about Hariyama there instead. Mention Liepard somewhere and maybe even Kangaskhan too.

Do all of this and I will check later Darnell :)

'Timid can be used as the cost of some loss of power however it helps the team against Altaria or using Sleep Powder + Sunny Day to outspeed max Speed 80s such as Kabutops and Mesperit to put them to sleep and set up sun' first set team details

looking back idk if altaria deserves to be mentionned since offensive isnt common :x i think you are better off removing that + also make sure to say that timid outspeeds max speed neutral 80s, not positive 80s (adamant kabutops/modest mesprit)

1/3

you talk a lot about solarbeam and sludge bomb for the special sweeper set, i think you need to elaborate a bit more on weather ball. say how dependent weather ball is on sun when you're talking about solar beam (you can mention that its only a 50BP normal move under non weather if you feel the need) i'd also mention that its essentially 150 BP after receiving the sunny day boost for fire moves, you could also mention that itssolid neutral coverage for poison types in moves.

I'd give dragalge a special mention in c&c under poison types as its the only thing outside of lampent that resists its dual stab+weather ball.

looks good to me. 2/3

  • In the overview, specify that the many resists give it switch-in opportunities, and resistances to common priorities, as that's all it'll be using them for.I know
  • I've seen people use Growth + 3 special moves in sun, so maybe slash SP with Growth? at +2 Spa, the only mon in the tier that doesn't die to Solarbeam / Sludge / Weatherball is Dragalge. Worth a mention in moves at the very least. [in fact it's already mentioned in moves, but it's not slashed on the set?]
  • I wouldn't even bother mentioning energy ball, as it isn't really every going to be used on a sun abuser and kinda sidetracks from the rest of the analysis.
other than that, pretty straight forward and looks fine; tag when implemented and ill check :]

Overview
########
Victreebel is a Pokemon which sun teams appreciate; with its ability,(RC) Chlorophyll,(RC) raising its sSpeed and its good offensive stats,(AC) its used a's a great sweeper. Victreebel's high Attack and Special Attack means that it has versatility. It haresists five different types to resist,(AC) which means loads ofit has many opportunities to switch in and set up either sun or stat boosts in both offensive stats due to its access to Growth. Victreebel is resistant to common priority moves such as Aqua Jet; this,(AC) however,(AC) doesn't make up for Victreebel's frailness from its defensive stats, not to mention it's poor speed outside of sun.

Sun Special Sun Sweeper(This just sounds better, imo. You don't need to change it if you don't want to)
########
name: Sun Special Sun Sweeper
move 1: Solar Beam
move 2: Weather Ball
move 3: Sludge Bomb / Sunny Day
move 4: Sleep Powder / Growth
ability: Chlorophyll
item: Life Orb
evs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
nature: Modest

Moves
========
Solar Beam is a hard hitting STAB move and Victreebel's(Add apostrophe) main spamming attack; only to be doneuse it when Sunny Day is in usep,(AC) as it avoids wasting a turn to set it upcharge. Weather Ball,(AC) combined with the sun,(AC) is to hit Steel- and Poison-type Pokemon which resist Victreebel's STAB moves. Sludge Bomb is a reliable Poison-type attack with the 30% chance to poison the opponent; it allows Victreebel to hit Fire-type Pokemon neutrally and a bonus of hitting Fairy-type Pokemon such as Slurpuff harder. Sunny Day is an option instead of Sludge Bomb as it benefits the rest of Victreebel's moves and gives it the Chlorophyll boost h. However,(AC) there should be a sun setter on the team wihether or withounot Victreebel havings Sunny Day as one of its moves. Sleep Powder is for putting Pokemon to sleep and proceed to fire off hard hits, switching out or getting up sun. Growth is another option as it allows Victreebel to boost its Special Attack and Attack; combining it with Sunny Day to makecauses the stat boost to rise by two stages each time it is used rather than one. Giga Drain can be used as it doesn't rely on sun and still hits Water-type Pokemon hard enough while getting some recovery back.

Set Details
========
Life Orb allows Victreebel to deal out as much power in its attacks as possible without getting locked into one move; it's not built on taking hits so Victreebel wants to try to 2HKO or OHKO Pokemon as quickly as possible. The max Special Attack is to deal the highest amount of damage possible from all of Victreebel's moves. The 252 EVs in Speed is to ensure that it iswill outspeeding Pokemon with the combination of Chlorophyll and Sunny Day being up. A Timid nature can be used at the cost of some loss of power;(semicolon) however,(AC) it helps Victreebel and the team by using Sleep Powder + Sunny Day to outspeed neutral 80 base Speed Pokemon such as Adamant Kabutops and Modest Mesperit to put them to sleep and set up the sun.

Usage Tips
========
Sun support is mandatory with this set; without it Victreebel needs to waste a turn charging Solar Beam and its sSpeed becomes unreliable in sweeping. With the sun, Weather Ball not only becomes a Fire-type move for hitting Steel- and Poison-type Pokemon neutrally but it gets a boost in bBase pPower tof 100; without sun it stays a Normal-type move and has a bBase pPower of 50. Victreebel can clean up Pokemon which are low on health nearing the end of the battle; it's a fast sweeper when in sun and is able to deal out powerful hits with its STAB Sludge Bomb and Solar Beam. Victreebel needs to utilize the sun turns well as it only 5-8 turns to use its attacks; even if it is on Victreebel's set,(AC) you want another teammate to get up the sun.

Team Options
========
Sun setters such as Liepard, Exeggutor,(AC) and Regirock are appreciated as Victreebel alone trying to set up Sunny Day alone is unreliable due towards how frail it is. Liepard has priority due to its Prankster ability while,(AC) and Exeggutor and Regirock can take hits much better than Victreebel. Entry hazards setters such as Crustle so thmake great Pokemon which switch in are wornteammates,(AC) as they help wear down in HPPokemon that switch to the point where Victreebel can hit once or twice and avoid taking an attack. Pokemon which resists Victreebel's(Add apostrophe) weaknesses or can take them well,(AC) such as Assault Vest Hariyama for Fire-type attacks spam; this sort of help is appreciated due to Victreebel's frailness. TVictreebel also works well with other teammates whichthat benefit from the sun such as Typhlosion for the boosting its to Fire-type attacks, Sawsbuck for the Speed boost from Chlorophyll and Exeggutor with its abilities Chlorophyll and Harvest; both effective in sun.

Mixed Attacker
########
name: Mixed Attacker
move 1: Growth / Sleep Powder
move 2: Power Whip
move 3: Double-Edge
move 4: Sludge Bomb
ability: Chlorophyll
item: Life Orb
evs: 192 Atk / 64 SpA / 252 Spe
nature: Naughty

Moves
========
Growth allows Victreebel to boost both its Attack and Special Attack and; due to this set being a mixed set,(AC) it makes it even more effective. Sleep Powder is another option for putting Pokemon to sleep and from theren dishing out hard hits from both the special and physical side. Power Whip, although risky with its 85% accuracy and lack ofing PP,(AC) is Victreebel's most powerful Grass-type STAB move which allows it to hit Ground- and Water-type Pokemon. Double Edge allows Victreebel to completely 2HKO Dragalge;,(AC) a Pokemon which resists the Special Sweeper set completely,(AC) after Stealth Rock damage and can OHKO after using Growth. Sludge Bomb is for hitting FireGrass- and Fire-type Pokemon with itsand has a 30% chance to poison the foe and is Victreebel's most reliable STAB Poison-type attack.

Set Details
========
Life Orb is so that Victreebel is doing a maximum amount of damage without being locked into one move. The 252 Speed EVs isare used so that it can outspeed most Pokemon in the tier with the Sunny Day and Chlorophyll sSpeed boost. The Attack EVs are just enough to ensure that Dragalge is a definite 2HKO with the Life Orb from Double Edge after being damaged by Stealth Rock. The remainder of the EVs are put into Special Attack to allow Victreebel to hit hard from both sides of offense.

Usage Tips
========
Victreebel really appreciates sun support with this set as it allows Growth to get the boost of two stages rather than one every time it is used. This set can be used as a late-game sweeper if the Sunny Day support is provided as it allows Victreebel to gain the sSpeed needed combined with its moves; it wantneeds a Growth boost though. Victreebel doesn't want to reveal Double Edge or Power Whip too early in the game if there is a Dragalge on the opposing team; play around the opponent and catch them off guard without revealing the mixed set till it is essential. Victreebel is also a great wallbreaker after setting up a Growth to reach its true potential in power from its attacks.

Team Options
========
BVictreebel appreciates bulky Pokemon whichthat resist Victreebel's(Add apostrophe) weaknesses such as Steelix, Hariyama,(AC) and Lickilicky. Entry hazard support is appreciated from Pokemon such as Ferroseed and Crustle to make sure that Pokemon switching in are at thea lower enough health of gettingto be OHKOed or 2HKOed fromby Victreebel's attacks. Sunny Day users such as Regirock, Uxie,(AC) and Probopass which means sun fohelp your the team is, as you don't reliedy on Victreebel havingfor Sunny Day. Other Pokemon which benefit from Sunny Day are also good teammates,(AC) such as Typhlosion and Pyroar. Victreebel wants a free switch so a slow U-turn and Sunny Day user such as Voltbeat is appreciated too.

Other Options
########
Hidden Power Fire is more reliable than Weather Ball,(AC) as it allows Victreebel to hit Steel- and Poison-type Pokemon without sun. Encore is for locking Pokemon into one move so that Victreebel can either get a free turn to get a boost or set up sun the next turn. Sucker Punch is priority attack which hits hard with its 80 pBase Power. Swords Dance is for boosting the Attack stat by two instead of using Growth if sun proves to be unreliable on the mixed set. Knock Off hits hard and removes the item of the foe. Leaf Blade has 100% accuracy making it much more reliable than Power Whip and still has 90 bBase pPower; it also has a high critical hit ratio too.

Checks & Counters
########

**Flying-types**: Flying-types such as Archeops and Vivillon can't switch in on Victreebel but can easily check it with their STAB Flying-type attacks,(AC) forcing it to either switch out or get OHKOed due to its poor defensive stats.

**Poison-types**: Poison-type Pokemon such as Garbodor can take both of Victreebels STAB moves and retaliate with moves of their own to the point where Victreebel will get OHKOed or 2HKOed. Dragalge, unlike other Poison-types,(AC) can also wall Weather Ball due to its part Dragon- typing mak(Remove hyphen) completely walling it soff the Sun Sspecial Ssun sweeper's attacks are completely walled.

**Specially Defensive Behemoths**: Specially defensive Pokemon like Lickilicky, Hariyama,(AC) and Audino can take a hit or two and retaliate with their own attacks 3HKO or 2HKO Victreebel,(AC) due to how frail it is.

**Liepard**: Liepard can check Victreebel with Prankster Encore by locking it in as it sets up Sunny Day or Growth; it can also go for priority Rain Dance while Victreebel has its sun up already.

**Kangaskhan**: Kangaskhan can waste sun turns with Fake Out, can take one hit from LO Solarb Beam and hit back with Return. If Victreebel is already weakened because of Victreebels poor Ddefenses hit,(AC) it can hit with Sucker Punch instead to finish it.

Thanks Alphose but I left the set name the same if that is okay! Appreciate the check ^_^

Ready for second (╯◕_◕)╯

Hey Darnell please beef up C&C a tiny bit, try and give it two lines, giving specific examples of scenarios Victreebel might encounter. Poison-types looks good tho.

Overview
########
Victreebel is a Pokemon which that sun teams appreciate; with its ability Chlorophyll raising its Speed and its good offensive stats, it's a great sweeper. Victreebel's high Attack and Special Attack means that it has versatility. It resists five different types, which means it has many opportunities to switch in and set up either sun or stat boosts in both offensive stats due to its access to Growth. Victreebel is resistant to common priority moves,(AC) such as Aqua Jet; this,(AC) however, doesn't make up for Victreebel's frailty, not to mention it's poor Speed outside of sun.

Sun Special Sweeper

name: Sun Special Sweeper
move 1: Solar Beam
move 2: Weather Ball
move 3: Sludge Bomb / Sunny Day
move 4: Sleep Powder / Growth
ability: Chlorophyll
item: Life Orb
evs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
nature: Modest

Moves
========
Solar Beam is a hard(hyphen)hitting STAB move and Victreebel's main spamming attack; only use it when Sunny Day is up, as it avoids wasting a turn to charge. Weather Ball, combined with the sun, is to hit Steel- and Poison-type Pokemon, which resist Victreebel's STAB moves. Sludge Bomb is a reliable Poison-type attack with the a 30% chance to poison the opponent target; it allows Victreebel to hit Fire-type Pokemon neutrally and a bonus of hitting Fairy-type Pokemon,(AC) such as Slurpuff,(AC) harder. Sunny Day is an option instead of Sludge Bomb,(AC) as it benefits the rest of Victreebel's moves and gives it the Chlorophyll boost. However, there should be a sun setter on the team whether or not Victreebel has Sunny Day as one of its moves. Sleep Powder is for putting Pokemon to sleep and proceed for Victreebel to proceed with fire firing off hard hits, switching out,(AC) or getting up sun. Growth is another option,(AC) as it allows Victreebel to boost its Special Attack and Attack; combining it with Sunny Day causes the stat boost to rise by two stages each time it is used rather than one. Giga Drain can be used,(AC) as it doesn't rely on sun and still hits Water-type Pokemon hard enough while getting some recovery back.

Set Details
========
Life Orb allows Victreebel to deal out as much power in its attacks as possible without getting locked into one move; it's not built on taking to take hits,(AC) so Victreebel wants to try to 2HKO or OHKO Pokemon as quickly as possible. The max Special Attack is also to deal the highest amount of damage possible from all of Victreebel's moves. The 252 EVs in Speed is to ensure that it will outspeed Pokemon with the combination of Chlorophyll and Sunny Day being up. A Timid nature can be used at the cost of some power; however, it helps Victreebel and the team by using letting it use Sleep Powder + Sunny Day to outspeed neutral base 80 base Speed Pokemon,(AC) such as Adamant Kabutops and Modest Mesperit,(AC) to put them to sleep and set up the sun.

Usage Tips
