Volcanion presents itself as a powerful wallbreaker in OU thanks to its strong base 130 Special Attack as well as solid bulk and movepool. A Timid nature lets Volcanion outspeed Bisharp and Magnezone and hit specific benchmarks for Landorus-T, Tapu Fini and Buzzwole, whereas Modest Volcanion hits much stronger and manages to stay ahead of particular Pokemon like defensive Scizor and Crawdaunt. Steam Eruption lets Volcanion cook targets like Landorus-T and Garchomp to a crisp and fish for burns. Flamethrower handles the numerous Steel-types in the tier like Scizor, Ferrothorn, and Kartana. Earth Power deals massive damage to Toxapex and picks off Galarian Slowking. Sludge Bomb gives Volcanion the ability to hit the large number of Fairy-types in the tier like Tapu Fini and Clefable. Volcanion appreciates pivot support from the likes of Tapu Koko and Landorus-T, pivoting it into Ground-types and Steel-types, giving it amazing opportunities to fire off powerful moves. Landorus-T makes for an excellent partner due to its ability to support Volcanion both with pivoting and entry hazards, making it much easier for Volcanion to pressure switch-ins. Tapu Lele also makes for a fantastic partner thanks to its ability to overwhelm the likes of Blissey, Toxapex, and a majority of Steel-types for Volcanion to dismantle teams late game, while Volcanion gets rid of Tapu Lele's common switch-ins like Ferrothorn, Corviknight, Clefable, and Heatran.

Volcanion presents itself as a powerful wallbreaker in Overused, thanks to it's strong base 130 Special Attack, solid bulk and access to some mighty moves in Steam Eruption, Flamethrower and Earth Power. A Timid nature allows it to outspeed Adamant Blaziken and Mamoswine, whereas Modest Volcanion hits much stronger and manages to stay ahead of particular Pokemon like defensive Scizor and Crawdaunt. Steam Eruption is Volcanion's primary STAB move, slamming targets like Landorus-T and Garchomp while also being able to fish for burns. Flamethrower handles the numerous Steel-types in the tier like Scizor, Ferrothorn and Kartana. Earth Power is an amazing coverage option, OHKOing Heatran and Magnezone as well as hit Electric-types that may threaten it like Zeraora. Sludge Bomb gives Volcanion the ability to hit the large number of Fairies in the tier like Tapu Fini, Tapu Bulu, Tapu Koko and Clefable. Volcanion appreciates pivot support from the likes of Tapu Koko and Landorus-T, the latter making an excellent partner due to it's ability to support it both with pivoting and hazards, making it much easier for it to pressure switch-ins. Tapu Lele also makes for a fantastic partner thanks to it's ability to overwhelm the likes of Blissey, Toxapex and a majority of Steel-types for it to dismantle teams late game.
  • emphasize why its moves are so good in terms of tier-wide coverage and in terms of a meta largely lacking in water resists with slowking in the dumpster and pex punishable with coverage/burn
  • timid is more for magnezone, bisharp, tapu fini/lando/buzzwole benchmarks than what u have listed
  • if u have space it could be nice to mention specific burn targets, mainly pex and gking
  • sludge is p much only for fini and clef, the others can’t switch into volcanion at all
  • ep is mainly for pex and/or weakened gking
  • mention what koko turns on that gives volcanion wallbreaking chances
  • what does volcanion do for lele

hmu on cord when implemented :psyglad:
