Set Description
========

Voodoom functions as a powerful, albeit niche, wallbreaker. Its sky-high Special Attack combined with Dark Pulse and Focus Blast, a strong pair of widely super effective STAB moves, allow it to chunk the vast majority of the metagame when holding Choice Specs. Flash Cannon allows Voodoom to pressure Fairy-types such as Clefable and Jumbao, as it 2HKOes them. Thunderbolt allows Voodoom to nail bulky Flying-types like Assault Vest Tornadus-T and Water-types such as Tapu Fini and specially defensive Toxapex, which take little damage from Voodoom's other attacks.

Because Voodoom will often be locked into using Dark Pulse or Focus Blast, it gives Fairy-types many opportunities to switch in and force it out. Therefore, pairing Voodoom with a Poison-type, Steel-type, or Fire-type Pokemon such as Venomicon, Melmetal, or Pyroak is mandatory. Voodoom struggles to find opportunities to switch in due to its lackluster bulk and poor defensive typing, so it appreciates being brought in with a pivot such as Dragapult or Tornadus-T. Tapu Koko is notable in this role, as it deals with Tornadus-T and gives Electric Terrain support, assisting Voodoom in breaking through bulky Water-types. In return, Voodoom can break through Ferrothorn and Equilibra, both of which Tapu Koko struggles against. Landorus-T also works well as as a pivot, since Voodoom appreciates its ability to switch in on Zeraora, Tapu Koko, and Fighting-type coverage moves from foes such as Buzzwole, Choice Scarf Kartana, and Blaziken. Finally, Voodoom appreciates Spikes support from Pokemon such as Astrolotl, Ferrothorn, and Arghonaut to help wear down its checks like Tapu Fini, and reach 2HKOs with Dark Pulse against foes like Toxapex, and OHKO Assault Vest Melmetal.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
========

Voodoom can run a Life Orb set with Nasty Plot over Thunderbolt, as the accumulated boosts and ability to change moves allow it to better tear through defensive teams. However, this set is not as consistent as Choice Specs due to its lack of immediate power, and the recoil from Life Orb can quickly take its toll.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fairy-types**: Fairy-types such as Tapu Koko, Tapu Fini, and Clefable resist Voodoom's STAB moves, and thus they can switch in on a predicted Dark Pulse or Focus Blast to threaten an OHKO from their STAB moves. However, the latter two must be wary of Thunderbolt and Flash Cannon, respectively.

**Revenge Killers**: Because of Voodoom's poor bulk, poor defensive typing, and middling Speed tier, fast revenge killers such as Zeraora, Dragapult, and Venomicon-E, as well as Choice Scarf users like Tapu Lele and Kartana, can easily secure a KO on it. However, these Pokemon are unable to switch in on Voodoom directly, as they risk taking significant damage from its attacks or being immediately knocked out.

**Bulky Flying-types**: Assault Vest Tornadus-T does an incredible job at checking Voodoom, as it can switch in on any of its attacks and force it out with a super effective Hurricane. Venomicon can switch in on either of Voodoom's STAB attacks, but it must be careful not to switch into Thunderbolt. Defensive Zapdos can switch in on Focus Blast, but it gets 2HKOed by Dark Pulse.

**Revenankh**: Revenankh takes heavy damage from Dark Pulse, but it can usually switch in on Voodoom's attacks and force it out with Drain Punch thanks to Triage, healing itself in the process.

edit: okay Whoooooops the QC team had a miscommunication about this, I know a lot of the below was discussed via discord but I'm sticking it here anyways bc I had written it up prior

Voodoom's solid offensive typing, high special attack, and respectable speed tier seem like it would make for a great wallbreaker. However, Voodoom faces many problems in the current metagame that prevent it from performing well in this role. For starters, Voodoom's main options for STAB are very unreliable ways of dealing damage, with Dark Pulse being a relatively weak move and Focus Blast having major consistency problems due to its poor accuracy. In addition, while Voodoom's typing is great offensively, it leaves much to be desired on the defensive front, as it gives it weaknesses to a multitude of common offensive types in the current metagame in Flying, Fighting, and Fairy. This problem is only compounded by Voodoom's relatively low bulk of 90/80/80 and an akward speed tier that leaves it outspeed by many other offensive Pokemon in the metagame, making it very easy to revenge kill. Voodoom also largely doesn't find use out of many of its abilities, as Cursed Body is situational at best and both Volt Absorb and Lightningrod face the issue of Voodoom largely finding itself unable to take advantage of common Electric Type Pokemon such as Tapu Koko, Zeraora, and Zapdos, as they all have access to super-effective moves that immensely threaten Voodoom. Voodoom's reliance on Choice Specs to deal significant damage to various defensive Pokemon in the metagame leave it very predictable and easy to play around for most well-prepared teams. All of these factors leave Voodoom outclassed by similar Dark-Type and Fighting-Type wallbreakers in the current metagame such as Weavile, Urshifu-R, and Galarian Zapdos and generally not advised to be used on most serious teams, as it requires significant support to overcome its numerous flaws.
all of this information should be condensed into 1-3 sentences; typically, only the very beginning of the analysis is dedicated to the pokemon's role / general place in the metagame, while the rest of the paragraph describes details about its set (hence "Set Description")
Cyclohm is a reliable physical wall thanks to its great bulk, solid defensive typing, and access to Slack Off. It can consistently switch into threats like Venomicon-E, Galarian Zapdos, Urshifu-R, and Kartana and make use of its impressive coverage to punish almost any possible switch-in. Unfortunately, it can be very hard to justify using Cyclohm over a different Electric-type like Zapdos, Tapu Koko, and Rotom-W. Volt Switch is great at... (starts describing individual moves)
Volkraken's place in the CAP metagame is tenuous to say the least. While at first glance Volkraken's monstrous 135 Special Attack stat and respectable 100/80/100 bulk seem quite good, it is easily revenge killed, often chipped by entry hazards and pivots, and walled by one of the best Pokemon in the tier: Slowking. That being said, given the right team support, Volkraken can turn into a relatively strong special breaker with the somewhat unique ability to pressure all three of Tomohawk, Equilibra, and Heatran at once. Furthermore, Volkraken's access to Analytic can make switching into it quite terrifying. Fire Blast and Hydro Pump is... (into individual moves) (this one is also outdated, but you get the gist)
Naviathan is a decent setup sweeper able to break through common walls such as Clefable, Heatran, and Slowking thanks to its combination of Dragon Dance and Guts. However, its lack of good coverage options and middling Speed leave it outclassed by Garchomp and Weavile. Also, the combination of chip from Rocky Helmet users and burn damage from Flame Orb means it quickly gets worn down despite access to Slack Off. Facade provides some much needed coverage against... (move details)
this is about as long and detailed as the opening should be. after you condense what you currently have, you then need to describe what each move does and why it's run. eg: dark pulse and focus blast are voodoom's two main damaging options, flash cannon hits fairy-types like clefable that would otherwise wall you, thunderbolt hits tapu fini and toxapex which would prove annoying without it. you should also say something brief about its item choice and why lightning rod is preferred as its ability.

i'm not sure if you have spellcheck enabled but there are a lot of typos that shouldn't have made their way past the WIP stage (akward, undesriable, etc). i strongly recommend you take a look at the spelling and grammar standards too. some simple fixes: capitalize Pokemon, capitalize stats (Special Attack), and types are spelled like "Fairy-types / Poison-type" (opposed to "Fairy Types / Poison-Type")

tag me once you're done rewriting the set details and fixing spelling/grammar and i'll look it over again

Voodoom functions as a powerful, albeit niche, wallbreaker. Its sky-high 130 Special Attack combined with Dark Pulse and Focus Blast serving as strong pair of nearly unresisted STAB moves allow it to significantly damage the vast majority of the metagame when equipped with Choice Specs. Flash Cannon allows Voodoom to pressure Fairy-types such as Cleafble and Jumbao, as it secures a 2HKO on them. Thunderbolt allows Voodoom to hit bulky Water-types such as Tapu Fini and specially defensive Toxapex super effectively, as they take little damage from Voodoom’s other attacks. Lightningrod gives Voodoom an immunity to Thunder Wave and allows it to switch in on predicted Electric-type attacks from Pokemon such as Zapdos and Krillowatt. (self explanatory)

Because Voodoom will often be locked into using Dark Pulse or Focus Blast, it gives Fairy-types many opportunities to switch in and force it out. As such, pairing Voodoom with a Poison-type, Steel-type, or Fire-type Pokemon such as Venomicon, Melmetal, or Pyroak is mandatory. In return, Voodoom can break Ferrothorn and Equilibra, both of which Tapu Koko struggles against. Lando-T mention here for Zera/Koko as well as fighting-types Finally, Voodoom appreciates Spikes support from Pokemon such as Astrolotl and Arghonaut to help wear down its checks, as well as allow it to OHKO Assault Vest Melmetal.

However, the latter two must be wary of Thunderbolt and Flash Cannon, respectively.

**Bulky Flying-types**: Zap/Book/Torn-T can pivot in and do the funny haha (book isn't even 2hkoed by dark pulse)

**Revenankh**: Revenankh can switch in on Voodoom's attacks and deals a large amount of damage with Triage Drain Punch, healing itself in the process.

mention something about NP + LO here (flash cannon as 4th move); it's definitely not as consistent as specs and gets worn down quite quickly, but it beats up on fat teams super hard because it can boost and change moves

Implemented. Also as I asked you on Discord, I decided to change the order Tbolt and Flash cannon were listed in the set instead of in the write-up.
