***[VOTE] Event Moves, Legendary IVs. How "real" do we want it to be?***

This is an awfully pedantic response, considering I mentioned cloning myself.

What I meant was that there are a finite number of different IV-Nature spreads for some event pokemon.

And if you want to pedantic, which you evidently do, then I was actually right. What I said is that there were a finite number given out at the event, which is true. You'll need to do better for your next pedantic correction.
It hardly seems insignificant to me. So your second paragraph seems to correspond to my second paragraph? Is removing the Pokemon altogether deviate from the cartridge game more or less than having them in but with inaccurate IVs and natures?

Honestly, your argument isn't very clear to me at all.

Read my posts in the topic and it will become clear.

It's not really worth it for me to write my argument into a coherent essay since the vote is against me anyway. I might end up writing an essay later though, but I'm not making any promises.

Maybe I can clear up Colin's argument, hopefully I get it all right...

What does Shoddybattle try to do? Simulate the battling aspect of Pokemon Diamond/Pearl. It also strives to have a competitive enviroment for the game. Part of having that competitive enviroment is having the ideal Pokemon to use without having to go through the normal labors of getting them. So what does Shoddy do to both have a competitive enviroment and simulate the game? It breeds/SRs Pokemon for us an infinite amount of times. So the odds of getting a certain pokemon at most are [insert large constant here]/infinity, and in terms of calculus (taking the limit of the algorithm), any such odds are zero. So we have access to any legally obtainable Pokemon. The problem with events like Wish Bliss is that only a finite number of these were given out, and they are no longer obtainable, so not every IV/nature combination is possible, and since that finite number is very small, it isn't that likely that ideal combinations were created. For all we know, Nintendo may have even created these Pokemon themselves and distributed them, like the TRU Mews. To assume that ideal combinations were created is going against accurately simulating the game, so only known Wish Blisseys should be used, which are poor, and since it would be hard to sort of keep track of these things, it seems more reasonable to ban them. If you really wanted to simulate the game, I think people would be against these types of event moves. But I have a feeling lots of people don't want to give up wish bliss, especially by the amounts of "they add to the metagame" posts. I hope I did a good job of explaining here...

EDIT: Just another reminder, it's useful to actually read through some of the arguments posted in all 3 of the polls, and I know a lot of people are ignoring them...

I don't see any problems with disallowing impossible IV combinations as they have little effect competitively and doing so does emulate the game. I am voting (in Jump's format) for cartridge consistent Legendary IVs.

I am also voting for Event Moves as they are in the game and anything legally obtainable in the game should be on the simulator, rare or not.
I'm tired, yet agree with these words.
