Wayff vs. Bologo, a warstory

I was bored, so Bologo and I decided to do 4 matches together. (Origianlly it was 3, but whatever) Out of the three matches, this match was a great one, so I decided to warstory it and post it here, on Smogon. (Bologo actually said "yes" to this.) I will take out all Sandstorm and Leftovers damage. I will however, show Life Orb damage.

wayff sent out Tyranitar (lvl 100 Tyranitar ?).
bologo sent out Gliscor (lvl 100 Gliscor ?)
So Bologo obviously has the upper hand right now.

I was about to try Ice Beam ScarfTar after this. Since he his lead destroys mine, I better run!

Tyranitar's Sand Stream whipped up a sandstorm!
A sandstorm brewed!
wayff switched in Gyarados (lvl 100 Gyarados ?).
Gyarados's intimidate cut Gliscor's attack!
Gliscor used Stealth Rock.
Pointed stones float in the air around your foe's team!

My Gliscor counter, Gyarados is in. Things are looking good for me at the moment, except that he's already got Stealth Rock up.
---
Gyarados used Waterfall.
It's super effective!
Gliscor lost 63% of its health.
Gyarados lost 10% of its health.
Gliscor flinched!

I'm pretty sure this flinch wouldn't of mattered. Gliscor can't do anything to Gyarados. I don't understand why he didn't switch out though. There really wasen't anything he could of done.
.
---
bologo switched in Jumpluff (lvl 100 Jumpluff ?).
Gyarados used Stone Edge.
It's super effective!
Jumpluff lost 107% of its health.
bologo's Jumpluff fainted.
Gyarados lost 10% of its health.

I predict a switch, and therefore went with Stone Edge instead this turn. Looks like I predicted correctly! I nailed Jumpluff, something that's a really important part of this match.

6-5 Wayff
---
bologo: Huh. -.-
wayff: Looks like my prediction skills aren't shit yet.

Look at those comments!

bologo switched in Toxicroak (lvl 100 Toxicroak ?).
Gyarados used Taunt.
Toxicroak fell for the taunt!
Toxicroak used Sludge Bomb.
Gyarados lost 39% of its health.

Right here, I predicted him to Swords Dance or Nasty Plot, so I decided to taunt him. However, he decides to just go with Sludge Bomb so that he can kill off my Gyarados.

---
Gyarados used Waterfall.
Toxicroak used Sludge Bomb.
Gyarados lost 39% of its health.
wayff's Gyarados fainted.

Right here, Gyarados was basically dead, so I decided to just stay in and do nothing anyays.

Spiritomb used Calm Mind.
Spiritomb's special attack was raised.
Spiritomb's special defence was raised.

So right here, I decide to set up a Calm Mind, knowthing that he will switch. Spiritomb is very powerful under one Calm Mind and should not be underestimated. I think Bologo understood that.
---
Gliscor used Taunt.
Spiritomb fell for the taunt!
Spiritomb used Dark Pulse.
Gliscor lost 45% of its health.

Right here, I decide to Dark Pulse just to see what he did, since Bologo is also full of surprises. Right here, he packs a Gliscor with Taunt AND Stealth Rock, something I've never seen before.
---
Gliscor used Roost.
Gliscor restored 50% of its health.
Spiritomb used Dark Pulse.
Gliscor lost 48% of its health.

Right here, I went for Dark Pulse again, just to be safe. He Roosts to heal back some of his health, only to take another half of his health. It's a good thing I didn't Calm Mind here though.

Bibarel used Swagger.
Bibarel's attack missed!

I'm carrying a Porygon2 as it's probaly the best Gyarados and Heatran counter, something this team would like to deal with. Right here, I get some luck hax, when Swagger misses.
---
bologo switched in Gliscor (lvl 100 Gliscor ?).
Porygon2 used Thunderbolt.
It doesn't affect Gliscor...

I decided to Thunderbolt instead of prediciting an Ice Beam. Charge Beam used to be there, but I'm currently testing the both of them, so I switch around with the two of them alot. Both of them are extremely useful.
---
Gliscor used Roost.
Gliscor restored 50% of its health.
Porygon2 used Toxic.
Gliscor was badly poisoned!

This move is extremely important. One of the most key moves in this whole game. Sure, it dosen't look important at the moment, but you'll see later.

---
bologo switched in Gliscor (lvl 100 Gliscor ?).
Tyranitar used Earthquake.
It doesn't affect Gliscor...

I decide to Earthquake incase he dosen't want to run. He does run, but it dosen't really matter, since Tyranitar won't be doing any more damage after it's burned...
---
Tyranitar used Earthquake.
It doesn't affect Gliscor...
Gliscor used Taunt.
Tyranitar fell for the taunt!

I stay in and Earthquake him again just because Tyranitar won't be doing anything anymore, so I decide to let him die and get a free switch.
---

It doesn't affect Gliscor...
Gliscor used Roost.
Gliscor restored 50% of its health.

Same thing happens again, except he decides to Roost off the health he lost.
---
Tyranitar used Earthquake.
It doesn't affect Gliscor...

---
Heatran used Explosion.
Porygon2 lost 95% of its health.
wayff's Porygon2 fainted.
bologo's Heatran fainted.

---
Bibarel used Waterfall.
A critical hit!
Spiritomb lost 39% of its health.
wayff's Spiritomb fainted.
The sandstorm rages.

Great, just great. I bet Bibarel wouldn't of done that much if it weren't for that crit. Oh well, we all sometimes get unlucky... I have Garchomp and Foretress against four members of his team.

Only 1 spectator that didn't talk so that we didn't get distracted.

Cons

His Jumpluff, doing nothing.
Tyranitar doing nothing except letting Gliscor heal.
A little too much hax.

Lol, the sprites don't work. Will edit this later for the comment on the wartsory.

Edit: is was kinda short, but the prediction (it failed) was fun and you both made some mistakes.

Is this really a Warstory?

It seems like you've only added a sentence or two under specific logs and pictures of two teams. I don't think that is what a Warstory is...

The end was rather anticlimactic IMO. But really, I'm just disappointed that I didn't get to see more of Bologo's team in action--maybe this wasn't the best match to war story. Jumpluff got nailed before doing anything, Toxicroak ate a CH, and Kabutops got EQ'd (and Heatran exploded, but I'm not really interested in what it can do anyway). It looked like a really awesome team in the preview. Good use of Porygon2 though :P

Meh, most of the comments were lacking.

I think the highlight of the match was predicting the Gliscor switch and nailing Jumpluff with the Stone Edge.

The pictures are cool and Bologo uses some less seen Pokemon, but the story on its own wasnt too great imo.

Btw: Why did Spiritomb with one Cm do 28% to Bibarel and later in the story it does 31% without one? Has Bibarel a trait or something that works this way? :O

It was decent I guess, although you might want to look over the beginning half a little bit - you start like 7 comments in a row with "right here,". Besides that it was an alright match, there weren't too many bad moves, although I wish we could have seen a little more action from some of Bologo's pokemon.

Wayff, I did say yes to this warstory, but I kinda agree with everyone here that your comments are extremely lacking. I think that battle 2 and 3 were much better than this one because it had action from every pokemon. I only really said to warstory the first battle because you seemed like you really had your mind set on doing that, but I personally liked the other battles much better.

Sorry, but you really need to put more substance into your comments if you want people to like your warstories, because a good warstory is supposed to be much more comments than log. I know it's your first time though, so try again sometime.

The commentary is 90% echo of what had just occurred in battle, 5% was just "LOOK AT US SPEAKING THINGS IRRELEVANT TO THE BATTLE XD" and then 5% was "PREDICTION LOL."

Then you have a relatively uninspired battle to accompany the not warstory.

Bad warstories are only part of the problem. The ensuing shit storm that follows is often much worse. Too many users cannot seem to restrain themselves from pissing and moaning in every single bad warstory thread. - Phuquoh

Not going to mention any names, but if the criticism isn't constructive, why bother posting? From what i've seen Wayff is a pretty good battler and a pretty good guy, there's no need to rub it in his face that his Warstory isn't great.

I'm sure he got the message from the more earlier, more useful posts but now some are them are just gratuitous. Probably, why Wayff has posted in reply to any comments, except for Slice's.

I agree, this warstory wasn't terrible like some that I've seen before, and it is his first time. He's a great battler, and I'm glad that he at least tried. It was pretty decent compared to the warstories that have been showing up lately, but nothing special compared to the better ones. I'm sure he'll get great at making them with experience though. :]
