Tournament WCAP Format Discussion

I think UU would be a good idea because a lot of CAP are not used at all in OU and this will force us to actually build new stuff instead of recycling the same teams over and over as we tend to do in oldgens. Also unlike in the PL format people in for their country first, not to play a certain tier so it is the ideal tour to include CAP UU en force

Not speaking as a mod here - I agree that 3sv/ss/sm/oras is cleanest. Seems pretty obvious to me, though I wouldn’t hate the inclusion of UU either. I was in favor of including it in CAPCL, if we ran that instead of WCAP, but for a brand new tour like this we should probably just keep it simple with pastgens. It’s still a very new format and has some degree of risk attached. I want to figure out how to get CAP UU included in our teamtours eventually, but that may be a discussion for a different day.

The format for WCAP will be SV/SV/SV/SS/SM/ORAS. Captain signups will be posted in December (date TBD) around the time our winter teamtour is normally scheduled, maybe slightly earlier. Thanks for your discussion everyone.
