Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Courage, good skills. Fortunately for us, the sun is completely blocked out by the rain clouds, and now that the arena is darker you should gain even more power! Torment the little fishy to get this off. Take his candy, whatever. Then, Sucker punch him and try to get her into the ground. End this round off with one final Sucker Punch towards the ground again! That little fishy is annoying indeed.
Reffing bump. I may not have this done tonight (EST), since I put off doing the calcs until this afternoon- at which point I could no longer access Smogon (server went down?). When I could get on again, my mom kicked me off. I'll have it up tomorrow for sure, though.
It's raining. The Sun is setting. It's 1 AM EST where I am. Things in the arena are getting pretty dark- but Flying Fish's bright spirit still burns brightly! The Mantyke eagerly pulls out a bubble wand and begins blowing a steady beam of bubbles. Courage's metal armor is seriously rusted at this point, but she still has the darkness left inside her to begin Tormenting poor little Flying Fish. Courage takes a peek into Flying Fish's mind, finding her one deepest fear. With a sly smile, Courage pulls out an iPod Touch and sets a certain song on repeat. Flying Fish begins screaming as the sound bursts forth- it's "Baby" by Justin Bieber! Flying Fish can no longer concentrate and can't use the same move twice in a row for six actions!
In a futile effort to destroy the device, Flying Fish goes for another Surf. Again, Courage bursts forth in a Sucker Punch that strikes Flying Fish on her interestingly patterned back. She swoops dangerously close to the ground, but she finally regains her composure and pulls off that mighty Surf. Courage's health is running out quickly, while Flying Fish can still take a hit or two.
Flying Fish pulls out her trusty bubble wand, hoping to fire off another beam. But Courage takes the initiative again, surging forward into another powerful Sucker Punch. This time, Flying Fish actually hits the ground, but the soft grass somewhat reduced the damage from the impact. Flying Fish now fires her BubbleBeam, leaving Courage's health low and her spirits lower.
The Rain will keep on a-pouring for three rounds, but I think we'll be long gone by then. Hey, this match DOES have an ending! Perseverance for the win!
Bubblebeam (Mantyke) [Success] Damage: 15 Energy Cost: 4
Torment (Pawniard) [Success] Energy Cost: 9 –Tormented (6 actions)
Sucker Punch towards ground (Pawniard) [Success] Damage: 15 Energy Cost: 5
Surf (Mantyke) [Success] Damage: 19 Energy Cost: 6
Sucker Punch towards ground (Pawniard) [Success] Damage: 15+1 (slam damage) Energy Cost: 9
Bubblebeam (Mantyke) [Success] Damage: 15 Energy Cost: 4
I calced slam damage as follows: Weight (in lbs)*Ground Hardness Multiplier (GHM)/50=Slam Damage. Grass is soft, so it has a GHM of 1/2. 143.3*.5/50 is approximately 1.4, which rounds down to 1. Flying Fish is floating far enough off the ground now that it will not take slam damage from another Sucker Punch (sorry lkk). Speaking of loudkirbyking, it's your turn!
I need to get to bed since we leave for vacation tomorrow, but here's what happens: Sucker Punch fails, and Flying Fish blasts Courage with ultrasonic waves, severely confusing her. Her second Sucker Punch succeeds, but Flying Fish survives with 1 HP and delivers the finishing Surf. auramaster wins! Sorry for the poor flavor for such a dramatic ending, but I'm getting 5 hours of sleep at the most as it is. gg, guys!
